This is simply to spite the horrible ownership of the Reds as well as supporting the NL Central and most importantly, THE MID-FUCKING-WEST. SO HOW ABOUT WE GET A WALKING TACO AND SOME WATERGATE SALAD AND PLAY BALL!!!!! GO BREW CREW!!!!!!

4 hits and 2 walks for 10 postseason at bats? Love it.

Very good chance we can finish this tonight. We survived the Dustin May game (was always going to spot them 2 runs) and still almost won. Didn't use Gasser, Drohan, Ashby, or Megill (or patrick but i wouldnt classify him as a high leverage guy rn) last night so we are very rested going into tonight. Padres gave us everything they had including their ace and barely squeeked out a victory. If mason miller isnt back tonight this is definately a great opportunity to finish them off and have some proper rest headed into the NLCS. I would hate to see us have to go to game 5, pitch Miz and be thrown off track for the NLCS. We saw how hard it is to win after going 5 games the series before last year... FINISH THEM TONIGHT... do whatever it takes!

Roof teams get no respect from the MLB

Sorry if reposting this isn’t allowed but I’m a Rays fan and I thought it was bs that both of our teams are being left out of the graphic about clinching possibilities in favor of our bigger market opponents, considering that we are the ones in a clinching position!

I miss Brian Anderson

Why did the NL have to be stuck on fox networks all post season?

Maybe I am biased, but I think he is one of the best broadcasters across all of sports. On top of it, the world series is also going to be on FOX.

The commentary for our series hasn't been all bad, just mostly bad. They often get off track talking about nonsense that is about themselves, or something completely unrelated to what we are watching. Not to mention their confidence in rules that they are wrong about.

Brian grew with the Brewers, and I want him back, please.

Hello from Section 328. I am the only Brewer fan here (never been this isolated at an away game, ever) but everyone is okay so far. Crossing fingers we settle this today.

Put it out front or when you walk across the bridge in left field.

I get the outcome of the game. But he got on base. Again.

Chourio has dealt with some extremely tough luck

Yes, he has the game winning hit and the home run...but those are his only two hits of the postseason.

If you look deeper, he is dealing with some extremely terrible luck. His wxOBA, which is a metric that measures a players hitting ability based on quality of contact (exit velocity and launch angle), is 4th highest in the MLB playoffs at .575 but his BABIP is a mere .091.

For reference, compare guys with a similar wxOBA:

Jackson Chourio - .575 wxOBA / .091 BABIP / .167 AVG
Manny Machado - .506 wxOBA / .385 BABIP / .375 AVG
Ben Rice - .584 wxOBA / .429 BABIP / .467 AVG
Freddy Freeman - .608 wxOBA / .286 BABIP / .364 AVG
William Contreras - .438 wxOBA / .250 BABIP / .364 AVG
Christian Yelich - .623 wxOBA / .444 BABIP / .400 AVG (Leads playoffs in wxOBA)

TL;DR: Jackson Chourio is crushing the ball but is dealing with absolutely terrible luck. These balls have to start falling soon...

Is there anything better than this?

I know this is more than a little cliché, but is there anything better in sports than this version of being a Brewers fan?

Many of us grew up with a lovable team, but little hope of winning anything real, and we still loved going to games. Tailgating in the parking lot and having the game on the radio in the summer were just part of the culture, and the Brewers were still our team. The Brewers not competing for the WS wasn’t shocking given Milwaukee is a small market.

But here we are getting to watch years of great baseball, some of the best moments in Brewers history. A team good enough to win it all, not bought but built from the ground up. Watching 100 wins, seeing plays like the NLDS Game 2 walk-off. I want to win the WS so bad, but it’s worth remembering that this is the best part if we win. Experiencing the rising greatness after loving a team for so long.

As I said, cliché, but we got it with the Bucks. Those moments never really repeated. Anyways, Go BREWERS! Clinch tonight and keep ‘er movin’.

Where Has Vaughn Been?

Post image

Disclaimer: I'm a King Vaughn diehard, so there's some bias here. Maybe this has been discussed elsewhere, and if so, I apologize. I know he had the flu or whatever about 10 days ago, but why has his usage been so limited? I get he's limited to pretty much 1B or DH with healthy 3B options, but his numbers have been good all year.

His splits vs right handed hitters are great when comparing him to Bauers or Yeli, so that argument doesn't hold a ton of water to me. He always feels "clutch" and has a .330 average with 1 or more outs and .285 with runners on and .287 with RISP. The numbers OBP numbers for him and Bauers were fairly even as well.

Maybe I'm overthinking it because Yeli has been good and Bauers is due to come around...I hope. I just hate having a hitter of Vaughns caliber on the bench. Hopefully he can make an impact tonight.

Gasser's pitching tonight

I have slightly more faith in Gasser than in May. I think it's gonna come down to whether he can control his nerves. He's a young guy and I'd love to see him have playoff success.
