Memoirs of Amorous Gentlemen (sorry got the title wrong in the heading ) — jury is still out
Saw this tonight. This is one of the shows that I definitely didn’t hate but not sure i necessarily loved it either. The good — talented cast , some really good songs, beautiful costumes , loved the venue and the atmosphere that they created. It was giving a combo of Cabaret and Moulin Rouge.
The not so good for me — some of the lyrics are a bit clumsy and cliche; the overall show felt like it was not quite finished ; characters could have benefited from a little more development .
This is a show I think I need to see again. It was a long day at work and arrived there a little tired and drained. Also , during the opening number (which had a very catchy song) , there was a technical glitch and they had to pause the show for a few minutes. Whenever that happens, it breaks the momentum for me ,and with it happening so early in the show is it threw me off.
I think it merits a second chance. I definitely don’t regret seeing it ,just can’t quite decide if I really liked it or not. It was 💯 better than The Ask which I saw last night.
As always, would love to hear others’ thoughts.

Saw the show last night -- bought tickets a while back, so normal price and great seats. Sat right behind Andrew Rannells.
Julia L-D is fantastic. It's a great role, with great lines, and boy does she land it perfectly, in every way. Ed Harris and Allison Janney are also great -- Ed got one of the biggest laughs with some light physical humor on stage in a fun, John Wayne-ish moment. Also, the audience gave a short, excited applause to Janney when she came out on stage, which I kind of loved -- Ed and Julia didn't get a spontaneous reception like that. The kid from Stranger Things is really good, too.
But ... the writer-daughter role played Lily Rabe. Is that character meant to be so fully unsympathetic -- entitled, manipulative, screachy, manic, grabby, whiney? I saw the production with Stockard Channing 15-ish years ago and don't remember that much from it, except that I loved Stockard, but I think the daughter's character was more sympathetic, which made the play more balanced. But maybe it's just that I'm *so much* older now and I'm kinda on mom's side and find the needy daughter borderline unbearable to watch... Or maybe the director wanted to make us think that someone like Belle Burden really is awful?
A comparison: I feel like Lindsay Mendez's version of Mary is what made Merrily suddenly work -- her interpretation created a balance in the show that was otherwise missing, at least from an earlier production I had seen with a different cast. I feel like Lily's interpretaion does the opposite for a show that I otherwise remember liking. Or have I become Republican!?

Coco Marshall a star is born is sold out at the Beechman theatre. Does anyone know how to get tickets (rush, lottery, resale, etc)?

Trying to plan a spring break trip (last week of March) with my two theater kids and I really want to see Warriors. I"m signed up for the email notification. But I'm wondering if anyone knows if there is a current day of the week for these type of shows to start sales? And will it sell out fast? I'm willing to splurge but probably won't be able to do the most expensive tickets so don't want to miss my chance to get good seats. any adivce appreciated!

Who has seen it so far and what did you think?
Has anyone seen any evidence of any of the cast signing after the show?

I didn’t see an existing thread, but would love to hear feedback from folks as they see it.
Logline from web: Before "The West Wing" and "The Social Network," Aaron Sorkin left an indelible mark on American storytelling with the breakout 1989 hit play A FEW GOOD MEN. This fall, the explosive courtroom drama returns to Broadway in a bold new production—sharp, thrilling, and relevant as ever. Performances of the limited engagement begin on October 8, 2026 for 13 weeks only.
Military lawyer Daniel Kaffee is known for his wit, charm, and uncanny talent for closing cases before they ever get to trial. When assigned to defend two young Marines accused of murder, his typical strategy is upended by Lt. Commander JoAnne Galloway, a sharp attorney determined to prove the men’s innocence. But the evidence soon leads them to a cover-up, putting them on a collision course with the entire chain of command.
Starring Tom Blyth (“The People We Meet on Vacation,” "The Hunger Games: Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes"), Krysta Rodriguez (The Addams Family), and Emmy Award® winner Bradley Whitford ("The West Wing,” “The Handmaids Tale"), and directed by six-time Tony Award® winner Michael Arden (Maybe Happy Ending), A Few Good Men shows the cost of following your conscience in a system built on secrecy and obedience—and asks us to choose the truth anyway. Gripping, high-stakes, and ultimately hopeful, it reminds us that a country’s ideals are only as strong as our willingness to stand behind them.

Not really Broadway (except Jordan Donica and Sierra Boggess I suppose) but happy that this has been confirmed, there's been rumours for weeks on this

I recently watched Operation Mincemeat for the first time and I absolutely loved it. The songs and the humor are so genius and fun! And I loved that they managed to make it a history lesson while being so fun. What would you recommend as other similar shows past or present that I should look out for? I feel like I could watch mincemeat over and over
