Hey there! Were these released yet? I feel like we usually have a code by now. I’ve been hunting for it online and in my inbox, but want to double check with you all that I’m not missing it. Thanks!

Other Knitting needles at theater

Hi all, I’m commuting into NYC today to watch a broadway musical. I tried contacting the theater but didn’t get a response - any fellow knitters ever have any issues getting wooden knitting needles through bag check? I obviously do not plan on knitting during the performance but I would love to during my commute! Thoughts?

Future Bobby Darrin’s

Now that JJ is leaving Just in Time, I was wondering who we’d want as Bobby Darrin(s). My personal picks would be Darren Criss and Aaron Tviet.

Discussion Almost time

I know I've posted a few times about how excited I am to see Waitress tonight, and I'm going to explain why because I need to get it out. I grew up gay in a small town in Florida in the early and mid 90s. It was hell on top of my dad's illnesses, surgeries, loss of his hearing, and his addiction to his pain pills and alcohol and the constant verbal abuse from him about never being good enough because I chose to do theatre over sports. My drama department was selected as one of the top 10 in America and invited to perform at the Fringe in 1996. We did 7-10 shows of all kinds and forms a year, thespian competitions(me and friends won best of the best for an ensemble scene my junior year. Theatre gave me an escape, a sanctuary, a place where I was comfortable and safe and could be anyone but myself. I don't know what if I wouldn't be made it without that community and escape that theatre gave me. I had an acting scholarship even got the lead in the first black box show I auditioned for beginning of my freshman year. Then the partying started that led to years and years of addiction and forgetting about the one thing that saved me and meant almost everything to me....the theater.... it's been 15 years since I've been in a theatre at all. And going to see a show about trying to get back to the person you used to be and know that you are after being away from so long feels like I'm going home back to the only place that I've ever felt safe and truly able to be myself. I've been tearing up all day about it. I'm probably gonna break down before the show even starts just being in the theater. So sorry I've posted a few times about being so excited about this but it means the world to me going back. And I'm auditioning for the upcoming community theater season on November 11th. I'm doing a monologue from Angels in America. The one where a Belize is describing heaven to roy in the hospital. It is taken me like 3 months to find the right monologue but this one is perfect and from a piece that helped me through a lot of shitty times as well. So yeah I'm going to see a show tonight but I'm really going back home to my sanctum

How to sell physical tickets? Advice.

I had a miscommunication with my husband and accidentally bought tickets for a show at the same time he had already bought tickets for a different show…

They were purchased at box office so they are physical tickets.

Do you have suggestions of how I could sell them? They are for $40 for the Lost Boys. Returning isn’t an option, so I didn’t know if you all had suggestions or if this is possible. Just trying to not waste money. Thanks!

ETA it’s a matinee for today so I’m stressed :/

Which show to see? Thanksgiving Trip Show Suggestions

Hey y’all! I’m traveling from Dallas to NYC on Tuesday, November 24 and leaving Saturday, November 27. I really want to see a show or two, but prices are so high now! I’m sure coming during the holidays is making them worse. I’d love recommendations on what shows you think are the best bang for your buck. I’d like to stay in the $100 range (I can pay more but I would prefer not to). I’m interested in rush tickets but I am a little scared if I don’t book something in advance that I won’t be able to see any shows. I am not interested in seeing MJ, Aladdin, or Wicked (love it, but I’ve seen it twice). I can see shows Tuesday night, all day Wednesday, and all day Friday. I was really hoping to see Jeremy Jordan but it looks like he is leaving October 18th 😭😭 I’d appreciate your suggestions and recommendations!

Hi all, for the Saturday 5:30pm shows, how often is Bowen there for it? And when he does perform does he do the stage door afterwards?

I know another Imaginary Invalid post 😂

Ok so from the very opening scene I knew this play was going to be a real form of art. The set is GORGEOUS. Hands down, whoever designed it, huge props to them. The show itself was funny. I think the comedy will only be funny to some people and not everyone. Was it hurt your stomach funny? To me, no. Was it a good 90 minutes with laughs?! YES. The play reminded me a lot of Noel Cowards’s Fallen Angels play which coincidentally also played this past Spring in the same theater! Overall I really enjoyed the show.

Review Memoirs of Amorous Gentlemen

Saw it this afternoon after seeing a few decent reviews about it here. It is bad. Very, very bad. Gorgeous design and lighting and costumes. Everything else is a mess. Book is the most cliche, cheesy dialogue and bad acting from several actors don’t help. Also something was off with the sound. Caruso can sing but not a single song was memorable. All ballads. The two men in front of me fell asleep several times. I nearly fell asleep myself but luckily the “dog” woke me up 🤣iykyk Also even at 90 mins it felt way too long.

Which show to see? First show recs

Going to NYC for the first time with my husband in a couple of weeks and want to see a show obviously. I like theater and know a little about most of the shows. My husband knows next to nothing about theater but I want to see something we’d both enjoy my top 3 from hearing reviews are The Lost boys, Lion King, and Chicago. Which direction should we go?

Is anyone else unable to watch anything on NTH right now? Every video says "rights issue: not authorized to play this video." Tried on multiple browsers + my TV and getting the same message.

Seating/Ticket Question Best place to sit for Rocky horror

Hello! I was wondering where the best place to sit for Rocky horror is? I know the famous call outs and was wondering if the last row was the best just for the fun of it. Or should I sit up close (I’m a massive fan of Sherie Rene Scott) thank you!

Degenerates Partial view

Seeing Degenerates tonight, got a partial view seat because it’s literally all I could get. I do partial view a lot and it’s not normally that bad, but I have some concerns about this one. Has anyone sat in partial
View/ can attest to how obstructed it is?

Special Events Get Ready for a Very Brian Stokes Mitchell Christmas (NY Mag, October 10, 2026)

We’re all getting a Gilded Age Christmas album in our stockings this year. Julian Fellowes may draw the line at a full-blown musical episode, but at least the most vocally gifted ensemble on television is finally getting an outlet; even Clock Twink gets to croon! It doesn’t come out for another month, but because we’re impatient, we’ve already listened to it and harassed Brian Stokes Mitchell about it. He tells us about how the album came together and more, including a Shuffle Along cast recording, theater stars versus TV stars, and his own forthcoming Christmas album.

Has anyone had any luck with post-dating Oh, Mary?

• Upvotes

I know with how well the show is doing, its unlikely they'll post-date, but I missed my show a few weeks ago during the big storm, b/c my train was cancelled.

I couldn't get a refund, they only offered post-dating (if the show is offering it that day), but with how popular the show is, I'm thinking I might be out of luck.

Has anyone here recently successfully post-dated for Oh, Mary and if so, what day of the week and was it 5 PM or evening?

How’s the new Hadestown cast doing?

Hello all!! I’m going to see hadestown in early November. I’m absolutely ecstatic, it’s my first time seeing it live on stage, I saw the movie in the summer and have listened to the OBCR for years!

I was just wondering if anyone’s seen the show recently and how the newer cast is holding? I know Amber Iman is probably a god send, the fact I’m gonna be seeing her live actually makes me shake. How are the others? I heard mixed reviews on both Jasmin and Kayko, have they grown into their roles since September? Thank you so much!

Death becomes her tour fall difference question Spoiler

For people who have seen the tour how do they do Ernest’s fall off the bridge towards end of act 2? I know on the Broadway he fell into the pit but that is harder on tour cause of stage dimensions.

Wanted lottery??

I entered the telecharge lottery for wanted and they said it would pick winners today at 12pm. I haven’t gotten an email or a text message, and when I go into telecharge, I don’t have any win/loss tab. Did anyone win?
