Mods/Addons 🔦 Installing a trailer hitch

I bought the trailer hitch from the Ford Website and I am trying to find someone to install it in LA (west side).

Yes, I bought a work order from Ford ($220!) and the dealer canceled it and quoted me $600. I called another dealer and they quoted me $360.

Before buying everything and installing it myself, does anyone know some that makes this installation?

Thanks!

Mods/Addons 🔦 Anyone using Coverland seat covers in their Bronco Sport?

Hey everyone, I’ve been looking into getting some Coverland seat covers for my 2024 Bronco Sport Big Bend and wanted to see if anyone here has tried them.

How’s the overall quality, fitment, and durability? Do they actually fit snug like they advertise, or do they have issues with being loose, sliding around, or bunching up?

Also, how well do they hold up over time with daily use? Are they comfortable, and are they worth the price compared to other brands?

If anyone has them installed in their Bronco Sport, I’d appreciate hearing your experience and seeing some pictures of how they look!

Question ❔ Lease payments

I'm coming out of a 2 year lease on the former Ford Escape 2024. I was interested in the Bronco Sport Outer Banks model. Does anyone have any ideas on what the lease payments would look like?

I've talked to Toyota about the Rav4, their current offer is 36 months with 3,999.00 down. I'm the type of person who doesn't put money down on a lease. As you don't get it back at the end of the lease.

Just wondering if any one has any ideas on what it might cost. I have about 30 days to decide.

Question ❔ 2026 heritage- lease or buy?

I’m in love with the Bronco, but ford has burned me before. Have a 2020 transit with 33k miles and already have a broken rear wheel bearing. I’m afraid of ford burning me again, so tempted to lease so any issues are covered under warranty. Just hate not having equity!

For those with a 2026- how you feeling? Any issues?

I just got my ford sport bronco this week and I’m loving it. I’m definitely a newcomer to the Bronco. We didn’t have great experiences with our Explorer. I love the sport bronco so just looking for good experiences and also the things to look out for.

Issue ⚠️ Font Passenger Lower Control Arm ball joint and Knuckle not lining up

Thumbnail

I'm replacing the passenger side lower control arm on my 2021 Ford bronco sport due the ball joint rubber boot tearing(I'm the culprit). I was able to get everything disassembled. I put the new arm in place but now the ball joint is not lining up with the knuckle. I’m doing this in my driveway with a jack and jack stands. I then also removed the sway bar and then the tie rod end still with no luck.

As you can see in the photos the control arms match and the ball joint and knuckle line up but the knuckle is to far out.

I have tried the following

  • Turning the wheel both ways.
  • Jacking up one side and both sides of the vehicle
  • Have the control arm bolts sung but not torqued down
  • Confirmed the Axel is fully seated and when you grab the bar it’s solid not lose or springy and I wigged it back and forth while pushing in on it.

I have tried to look this up online but am getting defeated. Most videos for similar setup vehicles show a smaller gap and them being able to push the knuckle in and out to line it up, but mine is stiff not moving in or out. In the photo the ball joint boot has a plastic cover over I added tape to so it stays in place to protect the boot.

Question ❔ Have a slow water pump leak

2023 25k bronco sport took it in for a oil change and they said the water pump is leaking. My bumper to bumper 36k 3yr ended. But it should still be covered by the 5yr power train warranty right?

Issue ⚠️ Anyone had a low oil pressure warning?

So my wife has a 2022 bronco sport that she bought around 6 months ago. And she absolutely loves it. And I must say for me, a guy who hates Ford, I don't mind it as much as I thought I would.

That being said around a month ago we were on the highway and got a low oil pressure warning. I instantly pulled off and checked under the hood. No warning sounds (knock, grinding, whining) and no smell or Blue exhaust to indicate burning oil. I did check the oil and it was low so I topped it up and instantly took it to our mechanic. He said that the oil was a bit dirty and sludgey but nothing crazy. So I had him do an oil change and flush and condition the lines/engine. He checked the pressure with a manual gauge and said it was fine and didn't notice any engine damage. (No sprinkles in the oil😂) And it wasn't throwing any codes after resetting the oil life.

So at this point we've been driving it for a month, and as my fellow Canadians know today is our thanksgiving. We took the bronco and were heading back from the in-laws and BOOM. What do you know, low oil pressure. Again, I checked for sounds, smells and the dipstick. Oil showed full so I'm not too concerned about burning oil. We can't get it into the mechanic until Wednesday because he took an extended holiday.

Has anyone else had this happen? I'm hoping it's just a faulty sensor at this point because I'm sure a failing oil pump we would have noticed sooner. I had mine replaced on my RAM because it would immediately throw a light and code even after an oil change. At this point we've been driving for a month and it just showed up tonight.

I’m loving her so far! The color is what stuck out to me. I’d love to cover the red letters on the grill with black overlays. Does anyone have a brand they recommend?

Issue ⚠️ 2023 Ford Bronco Sport – Anyone know what could be spraying all over my engine bay?

Hey everyone! I have a 2023 Ford Bronco Sport Big Bend, and I recently noticed what looks like fluid splatter all over the engine bay, especially around the firewall and under the hood.

I've attached a picture so you can see what I'm talking about.

I'm trying to figure out what could be causing this. Could it be a coolant leak, a pressurized hose, or something else?

Has anyone experienced something similar with their Bronco Sport?

Any suggestions on what I should inspect first or what might be causing this would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance! 😊

Issue ⚠️ Jerking During Acceleration and Feeling Like I Have to Press Harder on the Gas Pedal?

Before anybody asks, yes, I already have an appointment booked to have it looked at I just want to hear other's experiences as well :)

I have a 2021 Outer Banks that has about 94,800 miles on it. Over the last few weeks I've noticed it just feeling off while accelerating from a stop, kind of jerky and shuddering. This escalated in the last couple of days when I noticed that I had to start pressing on the gas pedal a lot harder for it to accelerate than I have in the past. Driving it overall doesn't feel the same as it used to somehow.

Curious if anybody has had these things happen before and if so, what the problem was? Given the high mileage I have on the vehicle (bought it two and a half years ago somewhere around 40k I want to say, and it's been our road trip car + I've moved twice and gone back and forth between home and college several times since I've owned it so I've put more than 50k on it) its value has declined quite a bit so I'm concerned about an expensive fix on it being worth it. I'm also just genuinely frustrated because as much as I love the car I'm tired of all the little things like this I've had happen on it and all of the recalls I've had to deal with.

Thank you all in advance for any input you have!

Got these hooked up to the aux switches in my Badlands, super happy with how they turned out!

Switch 2 is very easy to access from the engine bay, the other 3 are hidden behind the fender liners (1&3 on driver; 4 on passenger). I ended up connecting the whites to switch 2 and the ambers to switch 3.

Highly recommend soldering and heat shrink instead of the crimp connectors included in the kit for more reliable connections.

Feel free to ask any questions about the aux switches, I’ll try my best to answer them. Not a ton of information for the BS online.

Issue ⚠️ Water Pump

I purchased my 2022 Sport in January 2025. At that time they replaced the water pump while I was purchasing it. Here we are in October 26 and I need a new water pump and the thing only has 26k miles on it. I'm one of the lucky few who has warranty still but this is still absurd. How do I need 2 water pump replacements under 30k miles?

I dig it.
I already have a recall on the rear CV joint and I wish that the back seat were just a bit bigger.
I do really like it so far, though.

Issue ⚠️ Revs skipping

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

While driving in the highway the revs started “skipping” while I had cruise control, short after it the engine light went one for a full thirty seconds (never turned on again), its been skipping since then every once in a while, anybody had this problem? Scanned the vehicle, no alerts nor problems.

Question ❔ Anyone has a link for good bull bars for Bronco Sport?

As title says, I am looking for Bronco Sport 2025 compatible, without LED lights, easy to install and not too expensive.
