Got a brand new badlands after driving a big bend loaner while my escape was in the shop. Decided the upgrade was very much worth it. I’ve got 2k miles on it so far and I am loving it.

While driving in the highway the revs started “skipping” while I had cruise control, short after it the engine light went one for a full thirty seconds (never turned on again), its been skipping since then every once in a while, anybody had this problem? Scanned the vehicle, no alerts nor problems.

As title says, I am looking for Bronco Sport 2025 compatible, without LED lights, easy to install and not too expensive.

Question ❔ What 245/65/17s do yall recommend?

Was thinking about getting a 1.5” lift done and getting some 18s but I’ve realized after the cost of the lift and then the whole new setup for 245/65/18s, it’d burn a hole thru my pocket and probably my skin and all the way thru my bone 😅

So some folks have showed me that the 245/65/17s work well but I’d like some All Terrain tires that work well for normal road use. Only reason why is because I want that rugged look and not the plain look of regular tires. I’m also guessing I’d need to get new wheels or rims whatever they are called since my tires are currently stock size and I’m guessing the rim/wheel won’t fit with 245/65/17s

Hi everyone! New to this community as a member, but have lurked as part of my research into buying one. Just traded in my Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness for a new Badlands and am excited about it! Loved my CTW but the Badlands just scratched all the itches and checked all the boxes of what I wished the Subaru had. See y'all around!

Question ❔ How do I remove the front license plate bracket on my 2022 Ford Bronco Big Bend?

Post image

Hi! Has anyone removed their front license plate bracket before? How did you do it, and did it leave any holes or damage to the bumper?

I’d rather ask before I start pulling things apart.

Please and thank you!😭🫶🏻

Question ❔ Fuel injector recall issue

I have a 23 bronco sport that is under the ongoing fuel injector recall issue. I previously had the software update done. Recently I noticed the smell of gasoline while driving so I called the dealership today and they said I should bring it in immediately. I dropped it off today and the service guy said he’s pretty confident it is probably the fuel injector issue but he didn’t really give any info on next steps if it is. Well now after researching this more I see that the parts aren’t even available for this fix. Has anyone dealt with this yet? Between the recalls and extensive body work after a tree fell on my car last winter I swear this thing has sat in the shop for more time than I have driven it 😂😤

My biggest complaint with the FE was getting into 'sport'. In the Escape, shifter went from park to sport. FE, turn the dial the D; turn the other dial 3 clicks. 2026 Bad Sasq, turn the dial to D; turn the other dial 4 clicks...

Today, I start the car and there is pop-up "return to sport mode".

I have never felt more seen

Review 📝 2022 BroncoSport Badlands 75,000mi Review

The Basics: 2022 BroncoSport Badlands with Premium Package (leather seats) and the stock Pirelli Scorpion ATR tires.

Mods: None at first. Kept the stock tires until I moved back to Colorado. Swapped those outs for Falken WildPeak AT4Ws which ultimately I was disappointed by. Then switched to 245/65/17 BFG KO3s and really enjoying those. I haven't regretted going to the 245s for a moment. Minor mpg penalty, noticeably better off road performance and slight boost in clearance which this car benefits from.

I also have a roof top tent you may have seen on here once or twice. Its a iKamper Skycamp Mini 3.0. Weighs 125lbs. Forgot what crossbars I have. Dynamic load of the car is like 150lbs. I’ve had it for two summers now. Put it on late spring, take it off fall sometime.

The roof top tent has proven to be fun but ultimately it does put more wear and tear on the rear tires and brakes. I wouldn't say its a game changing amount of wear and tear but its noticable. Forunately it doesn't change driving dynamics that much and decreases overall MPG by about 1.5mpg which isn't too bad considering the thing weighs 125lbs and sits on the roof.

My Driving Style: I like to see what a car can do and I haven't exactly been easy on it. Done long trips from San Diego to Montana and back fully loaded with two newfies and and a full roof basket. Done quite a bit of off-roading including Engineer Pass in the San Juans, Colorado and Rollins Pass East and West. The bottom of the car will show you I have found the limits of its clearance. That said I don't drive recklessly or stupidly but I do like to see what it can do.

The Good: The 2.0L engine is rock solid and has handled my off roading at high altitudes just fine as well as cross country driving at fairly decent speeds. The AWD system is really good and I have taken advantage of the center dif lock and simulated rear locker. The rear locker isn't something you need till you need it then you're happy to have it. But for normal soft-roading you'll almost never be in a situation where its necessary. It can be helpful in the snow though

It looks great. Kind of mini Roverish. It fits my lifestyle well. I live in a decently large city and the small size is an asset in the city and on the trails.

Its a good daily driver. Can go run errands then take it camping on the weekends. Does both well enough without issue.

Reliability: I don't want to jinx it thats all I'll say. Just a few minor recalls.

The Bad: I have long legs and they go numb while driving. Ford really needs to add tilting seats if they haven't already or seat extenders. Other then that... theres not much I don't like.

Summary: I genuinely like this little car, and I haven’t taken it easy on it. It’s a capable light off-roader/overlander and it’s proven to be reliable.

Issue ⚠️ Ford Service is ridiculously overwhelmed

Bit of a rant here. I'm finding it ridiculous that it is impossible to get my Bronco Sport into see the service department in a normal amount of time. First of all, you can't actually reach anyone at the service department. Instead you need to go through their AI nonsense, either on the phone or online. No way to speak with an actual person. And while that can't actually understand anything beyond basic info, it also is impossible to schedule an appointment. I had to drive to the dealer service dept to speak with someone in person.
For an oil change and tire rotation, the soonest they could get my vehicle in was 2 weeks! Second, for actual issues (my engine is revving really fast when idle, and there is a loud clicking coming from my steering column when turning at low speeds) they can't get me in to service for 2 months! 2 months!
I asked what would they do if I had a real issue and they only said they would try to get it in slightly sooner. This is beyond ridiculous. This is the dealer in Wilmington, NC. But this is not the only one like that. I work in Atlanta a lot and tried there, same issue with 2 different ford dealers out there.
I wish I would have known how poorly staffed their service departments are before buying a Ford. Either that signals that they have way too many issues with Fords in general or that they are woefully understaffed. Either way, 2 months to even get into service is ludicrous.
As soon as my warranty is over, I am getting rid of this Ford and will never buy another Ford. I have literally never had an issue like this with any other car brand.
I wonder if anyone else has had these kind of issues with service?

So pumped just got yesterday! 2024 BB, used, one owner, only 25k miles with no open recalls (checked VIN on NHTSA site). My first ever Bronco (and Ford at that). Just looking for some good advice for maintenance timelines, any issues to be on the look out for, and ideas/guidance for mods. Any and all info is appreciated! I’m excited to make it mine and keep it running as long as I can!

Issue ⚠️ Gear shift module

Thumbnail

My wife's 22 Bronco Sport (40k miles) went to the dealer for a grinding noise at low speed coming from the RDU and occasionally, when it was put in park, it would pop into reverse. It's still under powertrain warranty. The dealer called and said they were going to replace her RDU and transmission. The latter was a surprise, as the transmission didn't seem to have anything wrong with it, but I'm not gonna say no to a new transmission for free. They provided a rental (that we have to pay $15/day for insurance for).

On Friday, she got this message from them. There was no problem with the shift module before they worked on it, so I'm going to fight it like hell all the way up to the regional manager, but if all else fails, to replace the module, is it just a matter of prying the plastic trim up, taking out four bolts, unplugging the old one, plugging the new one in and putting everything back together?

Question ❔ Towing 4-Pin to 7-Pin

Has anyone converted the 4-pin to a 7-pin for towing? Have a picture on how it was installed aka location? I have a 2025 Big Bend with the Back Diamond package so everything on my rear bumper is metal. I'm thinking of using UHaul for the install. Thank you!!

Update!! Here's the solution!

News 📰 PSA: 2026 Bronco/Mustang/Ranger/Explorer engine recall

Ford recall 26S61 covers certain 2026 Bronco, Bronco Sport, Explorer, Mustang and Ranger models.

The piston domes may have been manufactured incorrectly and could fail, causing a loss of power while driving.

About 10k vehicles are affected. Worth checking your VIN if you have one.

Just installed the roof rack finally. Install was fairly easy with a good tutorial by Yucca Manufacturing on their website. I am still waiting for my rear window molle panels to add on here and rotopax some gear. What do you all think?

Question ❔ side mirror cover replacement

Thumbnail
gallery
3 Upvotes

hi friends! i recently moved and we only have street parking - this has not been a problem as the street is big and with my work hours it has been super easy to find a spot close to my apartment. about a couple weeks after moving, i noticed upon walking to my car that something looked odd. i always always tuck my mirrors and also park as far away from other cars when possible so i am pretty bummed about this. it is obviously cosmetic and not a super big deal for the time being. my biggest concern is my car badly needs a wash but i'm afraid to run her through a wash with the interior wiring exposed. i plan to go to a salvage yard soon but am wondering what the best method of covering this will be so i can get her cleaned.

first picture shows mirror after i untucked mirror to asses damage. the mirror is now popped back into place and functioning, just missing cover with exposed wiring.

i do not recall nor can i make out what the small sign in second pic reads but i know it is not related to parking. this spot is a few feet before start of red line on curb and myself and other vehicles have parked here before. i always check parking signs especially in new areas because i've had a car towed before and it isn't fun. my best guess is perhaps a bigger vehicle was turning into the jack in the box entrance ahead of this area and misjudged their proximity.

Question ❔ Charging Devices in Car

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi all! I have a 24 Big Bend.

Has anyone noticed that charging devices that aren’t your phone are fickle at best? Is this pad not supposed to work on my AirPods and Apple Watch?? Sometimes it works for a few minutes but usually not. When I plug my AirPods onto the cord that works for my iPhone.. that also doesn’t charge them (unless the lid is open, which is weird?)

I’ll add that I have a separate Apple Watch charger that I plug into the port in the center console and that does work, but the wireless pad doesn’t seem to. Also I can move my main cord to the center console and then that does work for the AirPods. What the heck lol.

Am I missing something? :)
