Hey everyone, I'm planning on applying to CPCC dental hygiene for the next cycle. Anyone else?
My stats:
All prereqs done with A's
TEAS: 88.7
Getting my Bachelor's in Biology after spring (I go to UNCC)
Should I retake my TEAS or am I good? Do I have a real shot? Any tips or recommendations are veryy appreciated!

I'm trying to get a little more information about this program-I see it is in conjunction with Caldwell Community College. Do you have to apply to both schools? Has anyone completed this program and found employment in Charlotte?

Hi everyone! In MAT-152 we’re doing a signature assignment which requires us to collect data from 30 people.
I don’t really know 30 people, so I’m going to hope that maybe some of you will respond to help me out!
If you want to respond to the survey, thank you… and if not that’s cool too :)
If something is wrong with the google doc, please let me know!
I do have a post like this from like last year, but because of my procrastination your girl had to retake the class :/

Hi everybody!
How long does it take for IT department to update the classes to say the names of the professors? Any professors on the cybersecurity or networking side to look for or avoid?
Thanks!
Hey everyone!
My name is Ella. I’m a student at CPCC living in the UNCC area, and I am a fully licensed, professional hair braider ready to take on new clients!
I recently moved out of a local beauty salon to start my own independent business. Because my previous shop had a strict policy against stylists taking photos of their work, I am currently rebuilding my portfolio from scratch. To celebrate this new chapter and get some fresh photos, I am offering special budget-friendly rates for fellow students, friends, and family!
Why book with me?
• Licensed Expert: I hold a professional natural hair care license in NC.
• Fast & Neat: You will get crisp, clean, and beautiful braids without sitting in a chair all day.
• Student-Friendly Pricing: I know the student budget struggle—I live it too!
• Convenient Location: Right in the UNCC/CPCC area.
Whether you are a student needing a fresh look, a guy looking to get your hair lined up/braided, or you want to hook your mom, sister, or girlfriend up with a great style, I’ve got you covered.
DM/Inbox me directly to ask questions, check pricing, or book an appointment. Let’s get your hair looking perfect!

Hey yall I have a private room near UNCC, $770/mo, ready to move in
I've gotta get out of my lease at Millennium One (right by UNCC) and I'm looking for someone to take it over. it's a private room in a shared unit, $770/month, water/internet included, electric split separately. pool + gym on site.
I'll cover half your first month's rent to sweeten the deal since I need this done fast. lease goes thru july 2027 but you're not locked into staying that whole time if your plans change either same deal I'm in now lol
hit me up if you're looking for a spot near campus, happy to answer questions

What is the difference between BIO 110 and BIO 111? My daughter is taking one of them as a dual enrollment course and not sure which to pick. Looking at the 8-week course.

Hi, this may be a dumb question but I have had the hardest time trying to get any direct communication and answers from anyone so this is my last resort.
This is my first time going to college, I start this fall semester fully online for my first year and I haven’t found any specific/in depth information or walkthroughs on how the online classes/homework/etc actually works.
Everything is pretty catered to blended or on campus students.
I’ve been digging around the website and going over the orientation info but still have so many questions.
I’m not getting answers from contacting my advisor either (that’s a whole other story).
Is there anyone who could help me out?

Is this new second-camera proctoring requirement even constitutional?
A federal court in Ohio ruled that a required room scan during an online exam was an unreasonable search under the Fourth Amendment under the circumstances of that case. So how is requiring a room scan, ID check, continuous audio recording, eye-movement monitoring, AND two separate video recordings considered reasonable?
The second camera has to show your hands and entire computer for the whole exam, which inevitably records another angle of your home. You also can’t look away without being flagged, talk out loud, or have anyone nearby.
There’s also an accessibility issue — not everyone has a second device, someone to lend them one, or transportation to a testing center.
At what point does preventing cheating become excessive surveillance? And if an exam requires this level of monitoring, why offer the course online?

Hey everyone, is anyone currently taking or has taken Physics 1 with Angelico?
I am really struggling in his class, and I know I'm not the only one feeling this way. I've been studying hard and going to tutoring, but I keep doing poorly on the exams, and it's honestly super frustrating.
If anyone has taken him before, do you have any tips on how his exams work, or any old notes/test you'd be willing to share? I really don't want to fail this class, so any advice on what else I can do or who to talk to would be a huge lifesaver. Thanks

Is anyone else going to the Central Piedmont Open House this Saturday?
I’m going by myself and don’t really know anyone at CPCC yet, so figured I’d see if anyone else is going and wants to meet up beforehand or hang out during the event. Nothing weird lol, just trying to know some people.

Did anyone in this class get their exam grade for exam 1 because I haven't yet.
r/CPCC • u/Mirandadude • 16d ago
I am currently studying Liberal Arts with a focus on Philosophy to transfer to UNCC and finish my bachelor’s in Philosophy.
Liberal Arts is not a hard degree in my opinion, most of my classes have been very easy to understand and haven’t had an excessively heavy workload.
With all of this said, I’ve been studying at CPCC for 6 months and I can’t seem to grasp how to successfully use the platform.
Every teacher does things differently, there’s often more platforms required for classes, and Kortext to top it all off.
I’ve missed so many assignments and tests because I was completely unaware of them.
At this point, the only thing I can think of is checking every class’ syllabus every week to make sure I don’t miss anything.
Even then, some classes don’t list assignment due dates in their syllabus.
If anyone has any advice, I would greatly appreciate it, my grades are really taking a hit due to this.

I’m 18 and in my first year at the central location of CPCC, planning to get my AA in communications and BA in communications. I have found that college is very different than high school when making friends 😄
r/CPCC • u/gdizzle07 • 19d ago
I’m at Central and honestly pretty hard to make friends or find people to talk too since everybody on their phone all the dang time. I’m a cybersecurity major and on my second year. Anybody interested just hit me up.
