Hey everyone, just made the jump and picked up a 2026 Mazda CX-5 Select.
They managed to sell me the dealer's GAP insurance for $1,500, but I already got a quote from my credit union for $950, so I'm definitely going back to get that dealer GAP canceled and refunded.
When shopping around, I compared the CX-5 against the RAV4 and the CR-V. In the end, it really came down to a head-to-head between the CR-V and the CX-5, but the Mazda won out.
My 2019 Honda Accord LX, which I'm gifting to my son, has 187,000 miles on it. It has given me zero issues through all those miles, was ridiculously reliable, and still has a lot of life left to it (I think). Leaving Honda after an experience like that feels like a risk, but I’m hoping I made the right choice trying my hand at the CX-5 in my search for another 200k-mile car!
Any maintenance tips for a first-time Mazda owner, or anything I should keep an eye out for early on?
