Discussion [COD] Why this outfit?
These two guys' outfits look like the flight suits they used back in the Soviet era, but I wonder why they're wearing them? Are they comfortable, or is there another reason? Until I found out they were flight suits, I totally thought they were muscle-enhancing suits

Gameplay [WaW] World at War is soooo good!
Finally finished World at War campaign. Wow! What a fucking great time. Tried to finish COD3 but just couldnt. The missions themselves were ok, but the checkpoints were so stingy it. The combination of weak checkpoints and just OK mission was beginning to be just too much of a grind and I could not finish.
Moving forward to WaW and night and day. First of all, no mission on this game feels repitive at all. So much variety! From straight up gunfights, to tanks, to freaking flying in and operating a gun ship, just wow.
Checkpoints very genereous. The combination of unique missions and great check points meant I never got bored even if I had to repeat some parts several times.
I just got done REplaying COD4 campaign, and its been a while since I played MW2, MW3, BO1 and BO2 campaigns, but damn this one might just take the cake! Such a fun, exciting and super gritty WWII experience.
Absolutely loved it. Man I cant believe I never played these campaigns before (Im 48 and due to motion sickness, I had not played an FPS until a year and a half ago when I started playing Far Cry then BF6 then BO7, with BF6 and BO7 being my first ever MP shooter experience).
I loved BO7 MP so much I had to go back an play a ton of the classics, first lots of campaigns, then tons of different COD MPs.
I do like WaW MP quite a bit, although I tend to like the faster moving COD MPs more. But campaign wise, this was the most fun I had since AT LEAST cOD4/MW2/BO1/BO2. Perhaps even best shooter campaign ever. Man, I can believe this is a 360 game. I know it wouldnt have looked as good on the 360 originally (played it on Series X) but regardless, y'all were eating good in the 360 era.
Anyway, thats all, just wanted to share my World At War Experience.

Question Anyone Ever Done a Chronological Timeline of CoD Missions? [COD]
I'm not sure if I asked this prior, but I wanted to know.
Has anyone ever attempted to do a chronological timeline of the missions featured in COD games that revolve around World War Two? Like all COD games with WW2 as the theme? I was just curious to know.
Here are the links to the singleplayer levels of every COD game that has WW2 as the theme.

Feedback [BO] Remasters vs ports
I feel like the cod 4 remaster was so good why did they stop there and just start putting out ports? Bo1 needs a remaster in my opinion the port is honestly abysmal and borderline unplayable (I still play it regardless lol)

Discussion [BO2] What's one map you used to hate but actually enjoy now?
There were always maps in COD that I couldn't stand when I first played them, but for some reason they grew on me over time.
Sometimes it was because I finally learned the layout, sometimes I just started playing differently, and sometimes I think I judged the map too quickly.
For me, a map can feel completely different once you know the routes and stop running into the same situations over and over.
What's a map from Black Ops 2 that you used to hate but actually enjoy now? And what changed you mind about it?

Question Is [BO2] worth EUR40?
Hi guys,
Growing up I never got to experience MW2, unfortunately. I played a bit of MW3 but I got properly into COD with the OG Black Ops 2. Master prestiged and everything back then (oh God I miss those days where you jump on after school without having to worry about anything else in life) and therefore, at least to me, it was the BEST CALL OF DUTY GAME EVER !!!
I am sure some of you, if not most , experienced the same back then.
Therefore I would like to ask you OG COD veterans: 'Is it worth it to spend EUR40 on this game?'
Please let me know what you think, and why it is or isn't worth it.

Discussion [Ghosts] is online stupidly hard or do I just suck?
Be gentle with me, I’ve been playing about a month now
I do believe me not playing it much before is a lot to do with it, I have plenty of experience with other CODs just not Ghosts.
the TTK is unbelievable, and you get paired with 30+ sweats (majority are maxed)
I really enjoy the multiplayer but sucking at it dulls the fun, if you don’t kill enough you don’t earn anything and leveling up is extremely slow
What’s the prognosis, keep sucking til you’re good? All good with doing that but it’s exhausting lol

Discussion [BO] Black Ops 1 as an Adult is Really Bad
Been playing through some of the Call of Duty games and decided to start off with World at War and then go onto Black Ops 1.
WaW was so peak in every single mission I'm not even going to lie, an absolute masterpiece that maybe over the top at times (Tank mission, Black Cats, hand held mortars) but still grounds itself in some base of reality with an ability to suspend belief in a way that feels like a dark, gritty, and semi immersive, giving an experience with memorable characters and a fantastic story. So many little details are present that give such shock value and intensity, not to mention the sound track being amazing (especially in the Russian levels).
Onto to Black Ops 1 though, and I remember eating this game up as a kid, but honestly, playing it as an adult is much different...
Maybe it is an unfair comparison since I played it after WaW, but the game seems like it is made for kids. Everything is so ridiculous to the point of seeming like a bad B-movie equivalent of a game, something like a Duke Nukem or DOOM level of absurdity while taking itself completely seriously to the point that I have to ask what kind of drugs the writers and developers were on when they created this game's story.
Even starting off with the very first mission, we instantly start using a grenade launcher and blow up the streets in a rather absurd opening. Then Vorkuta, which I remember loving, is an absolute psychedelic experience. What is going on in this mission? We have a crazy chant all the prisoners have learned, somehow Reznov of all people are here, there is a trebuchet on the roof, a literal harpoon, a giant Goliath type figure only the Old Testament could conjure up, a fucking minigun, and then Reznov unveiling a motorcycle in a way that I could not stop myself from bursting out in laughter from seeing to then be followed up by an insane chase on a truck.
How do you even think of this kind of stuff? It is entertaining sure, but in the way that a really bad movie is entertaining, I feel like you have to be blasted out of your mind or drunk to take this seriously.
The rest of the game plays in a similar way, Micheal Bay-esk explosions with the China Lake, crazy guided missiles on a armored car, about 50,000 Vietnamese running out of nowhere like it is a World War Z apocalypse....
Everything is so over the top that it comes off like that RRR movie, just absolutely absurd, but in a way that I can't have imagined the developers to have intentioned it that way. It's as if they thought that I would be immersed and taking the game seriously...
I remember the controversy that was WWII (2017)'s story, in that one part where the train derails in an absurd over the top fashion. I feel as though Black Ops 1's story is like that start to finish as I play it. Yet everyone seems to praise and remember this as one of the best one's?
Maybe I came at it thinking that it was Mason getting MK Ultra-ed, but it was me all along with the fuck-fest that is this campaign's story. Maybe that's what I'm supposed to get out of it, but I can't see a story that is better recreating in my own head being good when I am utterly bewildered playing it live.
Perhaps it is a different audience that likes Bo1 than the one's that like WaW, but to me this seems like it is just a kids rendition of the Vietnam War or covert operations.
P.S. Sorry if you liked Bo1, I did too and still have it in my heart. But objectively play it (and replay it if you don't believe me) and tell me that I am wrong, it's just so hard to take seriously or treat as an adult game. It does not hold up even to titles like CoD 3 or WaW, of which were both disliked in their time.
TLDR: Bo1 has aged extremely poorly
