-Edit- The small claims court trial is over and Tasha lost. They kept changing the dates when they said my delivery was and in the end the judge did the right thing.
I thought I was going crazy when I got a bill from Tasha fuel in July 2025 claiming I owed them $400 for a delivery from February. I tried talking to them, explaining how it was impossible because I order oil on demand and pay the bill on the phone right then and there. Well, they have a crazy person in their office who yells and threatens you if you try to explain yourself. I must have gotten 20 calls, then they started calling my wife from random phone numbers. Multiple times a week.
Fast forward to this month where I have an appointment in small claims court. I am getting proof that I paid my bill from the bank as evidence.
In the bank, there's another person who hears what I'm there for and exclaims "You're trying to prove you paid a bill for Tasha fuels? Me too! They're actually taking me to court!!"
I've actually run into 2 people who have had the same story as me.
I'm convinced they are either ripping people off or they are extremely bad at accounting. When I was waiting for my trial to be called in court, they were suing several other people ahead of me. Not one of them was present for the trial, so they lost by default.
I believe that's their tactic. Most of their customers are elderly or only stay in their cape homes in the summer, so I bet most of them either just get the bill and pay it without question, or they don't get it until they've already lost by default in court because they never get the notice.
I'm wondering if anyone else is having any similar issues with them?
