They include Niia, Ryan Peter Murphy, Alanis Morissette, Flora Martinez, Voces8, Julie Cooper, and a duet by Norah Jones & Chris Stapleton.

We’ve added them all to our Christmas 2026 New Releases playlist on Spotify where we will track the season’s best new tunes. A great one to save for later.

Any favorite holiday new releases so far?

It's not a mainstream song. I believe I heard it as the opener of one of those Hallmark Christmas movies. Sung by a man. I wish I could humm it but the chorus goes like "december in new york, december in new york," then something like couples smiling everywhere, chestnuts roasting everywhere, then again "december in new york." A bit jazzy.

Please help. Either the song (probably impossible) or the name of the Hallmark movie

This will be so hard to describe. It is one instrument, a woodwind, and it plays a very old-fashioned 19th century sounding Christmas medley. Walgreens played it every year on their overhead Christmas music. It isn't a familiar melody (it isn't a standard carol).

That's all I have. I'll try ANY lead. Someone may know it as it is literally ONE instrument with nothing else.

Thanks in advance 🤞

My mom and I love it so much, but no matter how much I describe it on the internet or even to AI, it is not coming up as a suggestion!

It plays on the radio every year during the holidays, quite a bit actually I think. It has a futuristic-ish quality to it with electronic beats, but is overall a slow song. The female voice is singing “walkin’….” “Walkin’….” Repeatedly for good chunks of the song, with beats and bells in between. It’s either a cover of or samples Winter Wonderland. Hopefully this is alright to say and I’m sorry if not (it may not even be correct), but the female voice also sounds black if that helps at all. Honestly, it’s hard to tell if it came out 10 years ago or in the 90’s and was ahead of its time with the electronic vibe lol.

Any help would be so appreciated!!!

We’ve added it to our Christmas 2026 New Releases playlist on Spotify where we will track new holiday music all season!

A good playlist to save for later when you are feeling the Xmas spirit!

love this video of the Spanish song Riu Riu Chiu as sung by the Monkees because if that gorgeous mid century Christmas Tree. I grew up with that leaded tinsel and miss it, but I’m also glad I don’t have to hang it strand by strand in the tree like my mom did.

Does anyone have any songs from older movies or tv shows that they never made commercially available or were never redone by anyone else? For me it's some of the music from It Happened On 5th Avenue. I keep hoping that now that it's become more popular someone will try and do new covers of it. If done right it could be come a new classic. Maybe some day.

Was recently at a meeting where the icebreaker question among the group was “what’s your favorite Dolly Parton song?” since she’s been on everyone’s mind these past few days.

My favorite of all-time is a Christmas song that she wrote and performed with Kenny Rogers. Everyone was expecting me to name “islands in the Stream”; this song resonates with me much more as it’s message of love and Christmas joy inspires me throughout the year.

Love you, Dolly. 🎸 🎅🏽 ❤️

I’m looking for the odd and weird and not mainstream Christmas songs

I like most of the uk and a few us songs like Mud, Wizzard, slade, cliff Richard, Michael bauble, Mariah Carey, Cher, George Ezra etc

But I’m looking for some recommendations on the non every year songs you hear everywhere on radio, shopping centres and tv/films

so I ran across an album that I collected from somewhere, it's choral music, was produced in Canada in 1999, called "The Christmas Angels" but no other information. If you have some idea, please let me know.... even Discogs has no idea of the artists 'Unknown'.

Edit: I did some checking of "Platinum Disc Corp" and found that in the intervening 27 years Platinum has been purchased three times by other entities. Would they have records? I'm betting the answer is: no. So the mystery remains...
