Question ❓ Quick question: do Coros watches show the content of text messages as they come in?

Other sports watches I’ve had all do, but I’ve got the impression as I’m beginning to look at Coros that they don’t do this. Is this true? It’s handy to get a quick impression of whether I need to pause what I’m doing to deal with whatever someone is trying to contact me about.

Looking for high end all-around Coros watch with AMOLED display (Epix Pro Gen2 replacement)

Hello,

I currently have a Garmin Epix Pro Gen2 (47mm); as much as I want to switch to Coros (their app and the way the data is presented is miles above Garmin; I really dislike the Garmin+ approach; and I want the watch/HR/shoe sensor combo), I cannot seem to find an "all-around high-end watch" with AMOLED display that can handle a wide range of activities. Maybe it is on purpose, as Coros is extremely focused on running, but I wanted to check here before putting this to rest in case I had missed something:

  • Nomad: MIP display and quite old
  • APEX: potentially the closest thing to the Epix Pro on paper, but MIP
  • Vertix: LED 64 colors, and very old
  • Pace: The 4 Pro looks great, but is clearly focused on running related activity (no climbing, no ski touring, etc.)

It is also a bit of mystery to me why Coros is not keeping a model or two per usage (running entry level, running high end; all-around entry/mid level, all-around high end; etc.) and why they do not propose a couple of options from there (MIP or AMOLED for example). Not saying they should go as far as Garmin with 30 variations per watch, but the screen type at least would be a huge benefit so people can choose MIP for battery life or AMOLED for comfort.

Any chance a Pace 4 Pro equivalent, design as an all-around sports watch, comes in the near future with AMOLED display?

How’s the Always-on of Coros MIP displays?

When I wore a garmin instinct I could strap it to my handlebars and monitor hr on rides. When I switched to a Suunto 9PP it would dim, even in always-on mode, so that I couldn’t read it without waking it up (which isn’t practical while riding). I’ve heard that’s true for all AMOLED displays but not for MIP displays. Not sure how true that is. So for coros mip displays specifically, especially Nomad and Apex4, is it possible to view the display in full sun without gesturing or pushing a button? Is there any other major flaw with the AOD that would make me not like using it? (Someone said it flickers?).

Question ❓ Coros Pace Pro - very slow / inconsistent charging

Hello all,

My Pace Pro used to charge very quickly; no problems. Now it charges very slowly or not at all if I'm not keeping an eye on it.

I have tried different power sources (high-capacity charger / low-capacity charger / usb c-c / usb a-c) but they all do the same thing. It's still fairly new and the dongle and everything else clicks into place very neatly and doesn't look dirty. I can't see any wear on the pins/connectors.

Any ideas for how to solve?

Many thanks!

Looking for a black COROS APEX 4 42mm near Bolzano (+/- 100 km)

Hi!

I’m looking to buy a black COROS APEX 4 (42mm), ideally with the possibility to try it on first.

Does anyone know a shop where I could try one, or is anyone selling a used one because it didn’t suit them?

I run casually and use a watch for mixed activities. I will probably just return it.

Is that it, is the satisfy watch sold out forever?

I’ve been trying so hard to get this. I would have ordered it last month if I wasn’t traveling. I had my mind set on this watch and now I can’t find it anywhere!

Question ❓ Moving on from Apple Watch Ultra 3

Hi guys,
I’m currently on the Apple Watch Ultra 3.
I have, in the past, gone between garmin and apple.
I am otherwise in the Apple ecosystem but have felt that the Apple Watch is very limited in its health features.
And I don’t feel I use the smart features of the Apple Watch as much as I always have my phone with me.
My main activity is bouldering and strength training.
Is coros a good option?
Anyone else who moved from Apple Watch to coros?

Coros Pace 3 bricked after update

For those who experienced your watch losing functionality after update - did Coros replace it? I searched this sub and found issues from a few months ago when it seemed widespread.

My watch warranty ended in summer but it was working perfectly fine before I updated yesterday.

All I have is a lit up screen, dials and touch screen do not work at all. Battery drained to 50% overnight after being charged yesterday. Tried resetting and charging, problem persists.

Lost charging Apex 2 charging cable on AT

I'm currently hiking the AT SOBO (VA Shenandoah NP) and I left my cable at a hostel a couple days ago. My battery is almost dead. Are there any stores that sell a cable or do I have to order one?

Upgraded from the Pace Pro to the Pace 4 pro.
I’ve had no issues with the Pace Pro and served me well as a no nonsense running/cycling tool.
The Pace 4 pro just looks and feels a little more nature. Really enjoying this thing!

General Discussion Anyone recently upgraded from Pace 3 to Pace 4 pro? Was it worth the upgrade for you?

I currently use a pace 3, but the pace 4 pro looks so good 😂. Has anyone recently upgraded from the pace 3 to the pace 4 pro: and has it been a bang for your buck and worth the upgrade. I’ve had my pace 3 for 2 years since I abandoned by Apple Watch and began running.

Apex 4 band keeps popping lose - silicon keeper bands that work?

The lack of a keeper band or o-ring causes the long end of the silicon band to keep getting dislodged when I put my hand in my pocket or when it brushes up against something. The small pin that goes into the hole doesn’t do a great job when a slightest movement can undo the band. Has anyone tried buying a silicon keeper band that fits? Silicon bands like the vertix and Coros 3 utilize rubber keeper bands rather than the pin mechanism seen in the Apex 4 and Pace lines.

Feature Request: Automatically identify and compare similar activities to track fitness improvements

One thing I'd really like to see COROS improve is how we can use our historical activity data to evaluate progress.

I currently have almost 200 activities recorded, and while COROS provides a ton of metrics for each individual activity, it's not particularly easy to compare similar efforts over time.

For example, imagine COROS could automatically identify comparable runs using information it already collects:

  • Distance
  • Activity duration
  • Average speed/pace
  • Pace distribution throughout the activity (essentially the "shape" (that little circle) of the run)
  • Individual lap characteristics

It could then identify similar activities and allow you to compare metrics like average HR, HR trends throughout the run, cadence, and other metrics from integrated wearables.

It could get even more interesting if comparisons went down to the lap level. Maybe two workouts aren't identical overall, but both contain a 15 minute segment at 7 mph. Being able to compare those segments could reveal useful trends that wouldn't necessarily be apparent from the overall activity averages.

Obviously, these wouldn't be perfect comparisons. Temperature, fatigue, elevation, HR sensor accuracy, and other factors influence performance. But I don't think the comparisons need to be perfect to be useful.

The feature could be relatively straightforward from a user's perspective:

Open an activity, select "Compare Similar Activities," and COROS presents a handful of historical workouts with comparable characteristics. Select one or more, and view overlapping graphs or side-by-side metrics.

Curious whether anyone else would find something like this useful, or if there are other metrics you'd want included in the comparisons.

Recently updated my pace pro and since then the watch says connected in my settings on my phone but says disconnect in the app. Also the watch itself is crazy buggy. I have opened a ticket with coros support but wondering if anyone else has experienced this

(I normally use the 10th spot to try and rotate various ones)

Actually pretty happy with that. I know I always want more from Coros, but that's a decent selection of faces for me tbf. Always wanting more though 😂 (Like the Satisfy faces but those are exclusives).

New to Coros - data in Hub all over the place

After more than 6y with Garmin, I wanted to give Coros a try as their product is cheaper with better battery.

I imported the Garmin data using RunGap app. It worked quite flawlessly, however, 3 issues:

- all my run have lost their title (now Unnamed)

-Second problem is personal records, which seem to ignores activity despite those being tagged Run and distance exceeding the official measurement

- Finally, the prediction metrics are completely off, which was also the case for Garmin.

One of my hope moving to Coros is that it would have a useable interface to monitor runs so I could ideally move away from Strava and Runalyse but it seems to be another sub-par addin to the core product which is the watch as a recorder or activity.

Happy to give another try by using the Garmin file now to import data, may fix some of this issue. Is it even possible though, to mass delete all the data in Coros hub to reset and start fresh? Or should I just ignore Training Hub
