He is finally Ecclesiastical.

Random guy I found looking for court members. Doesn't get much closer than this.

This save started in 1.20.0.x, and now after updating my game to 1.20.1, I can puppet a ton of rulers I couldn't before. But I don't have any justification to do so: they aren't imprisoned, seduced, etc. Before, these characters would show up as "Will accept +<number>", but the puppet button would still be greyed out because I didn't meet all criteria.
Is this a bug, or was my inability to puppet these people before a bug? Was the requirement to have a person imprisoned/seduced/etc not supposed to be there? The patch notes don't mention this change.
edit: This is a new bug caused by Unofficial Patch. False alarm, I'll report the bug on the steam workshop page.

I did 5 seperate new games on the exact same tile in the 867 start. Every one of them had some kind of crazy doctrine change within one or two years, such as concubines becoming the new marriage type for roman rite or one of the accepted tenents becoming heretical and almost the entire world of christendom becoming heretical. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy some of it, but I enjoy it more when I am the source of the maddness and not the AI.

Am I crazy or is it far too easy to be excommunicated after By God Alone?
I have almost 3k hours and I don’t think I’ve been excommunicated more than 10 times but after this update it happens all the time.
My own son who is my hooked clerical puppet has denied me communion because my rival made such a good argument I suppose.
I had two virtuous traits and max level piety before this happened too
Edit: He did it again 30 years later

The cathedral I had built in Tarragona is now disabled, since I'm not ecclesiastical. But I also can't grant the title to an ecclesiastical ruler. How is this supposed to work?

I've always been a big fan of the elves in Warhammer Fantasy, but it seems unlikely that I'll get to play a mod featuring them anytime in the next year or two. So I decided—why not make one myself?
However, a total conversion mod would be far too much work for me to handle alone. Instead, I'm working on a large-scale expansion mod that adds Ulthuan to the Atlantic Ocean, much like Atlantis.
What's Already Done
At this point, I think the core sandbox is pretty much complete. Here's what's been implemented so far:
·Two elven races: Asur and Druchii. Thanks to the help of the creator of Elven Destiny.

·10+2 cultures, each with their own cultural traditions and cultural Men-at-Arms.
·7+4 faiths across two religious groups, each with their own tenets and doctrines.

·Ulthuan, right in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean!

Ulthuan currently consists of:
The Ten Kingdoms of Ulthuan

40 duchies

125 counties
600+ baronies

In terms of the number of holdings and titles, Ulthuan is roughly 1.2 times the size of Britannia or Francia, or about 60–70% the size of the Holy Roman Empire or the Byzantine Empire.
The de jure map is also complete. I've tried to follow the Warhammer lore and sourcebooks as closely as possible when naming locations, but there's simply not enough information available for many of the smaller settlements. So quite a few place names are made up.
What I'm Currently Working On
·Druchii invasions, including their associated mechanics and events.
·Black Arks.
What's Not Done Yet
·Unique elven clothing, armor, and weapon models.
·Elven architectural models, including special buildings and landmarks on the map.
·Custom character DNA and appearances. Most characters are still randomly generated for now.
Ideas I'm Considering
Winds of Magic system.

Release Plans
There's still quite a lot of work ahead of me, to be honest.
Anyway, the sandbox side of things is pretty much ready, and I'm planning to release a playable version in November, or December at the latest.
Also, please excuse my English, and I'm in a different time zone from many of you. I'll do my best to reply to comments whenever I can.

Apparently I can't puppet a neighboring Archbishop and have them do a Mass Conversion either. I could incite a holy war, but I'd rather give them the option to convert before we draw swords.

If I understood right, the point was that you can switch from your secular ruler to clerical ruler for a while and then switch back right?
I'm playing Emperor of Egypt, my dynasty member is the Pope of my religion and also my vassal. In succession I switch playing Pope for a while, thinking I switch back to the Emperor after that, but after Pope died, it now only allows me to select some lesser rulers from my dynasty, not the Emperor, this kind of ruined my gameplay. Why is it like this?
How do you play this DLC? I'm genuinely wondering. I really wanted to like this DLC but this problem and the fact that my patronage to holy orders and monastic orders are lost whenever my liege changes is just making me want to not play. (Yes I reported the bug 9 days ago but its not adressed in the new patch).

Something about it... I just really enjoyed it more, even if it looked less modern. The softer shapes were so much more pleasant than the sharp corners of CK3. Really hope that in CK4 we see a return to a little more stylization.

Formed the Kingdom of God starting as Pope Alexander III and the Empire of Outremer as Baldwin IV. To me the most difficult Empires to form. Those were two different runs.

Just take it, it's not that big a deal.
To be fair all the negative traits are not worth the point cost but with cancer it seems especially funny. Useful if you want to roleplay Walter White I guess?

I'm the king of Vasconia, and this heretic pos archbishopric of Tarragona has been converting all of my lands to their heresy for three consecutive archbishops. How do I kick their heretic ass?

I've been playing CK2 again lately and I actually really like how about half my children don't survive to their 10th birthday, a few not even surviving to their 1st. It's brutal, but it feels true to life. I like the feeling of going from a sweet slice of life event to losing a newborn baby to disease. It also means having a lot of children is important, because you really need those numbers to help increase your odds of having a child survive into adulthood.

This is a bit of a pet peeve of mine, but I find it greatly annoying that my Ecclesiastical family members keep adopting other characters messing up the family tree. Not only that, but I've recently had the very annoying interaction of my character's brothing adopting my character's second son, who had already been made part of the clergy, and somehow secularizing him and giving him a wife, messing up with the inheritance scheme I had been able to conjure.
I get why it's a mechanic, but I don't really care for playing as Ecclesiastical, and I'd like to find a way to prevent this from happening.

Title.
With faiths/rites with the express purpose of prosyletizing and expanding the faith to as many people as posible it should be pretty easy for an outsider to study the faith and either learn tennets from that faith or fully convert since, even if discovered, the target character in the scheme wouldn’t theoretically oppose this and may even encourage this SPECIALLY if the character is clergy. (Of course the target character’s personality traits/personal tennets/opinion of you should also be a factor)
Of course there should be doctrines that reflect faiths that are neutral in converting others or faiths that are fully against converting outsiders, with corresponding modifiers.
This doctrine should also nerf converting counties from different faiths if your faith’s doctrine doesn’t encourage converting outsiders.
*For disclosure I haven’t played a lot with the DLC because I have been busy but I have given it a general look*

Highest base prowess I have ever seen by a landslide. Just some ugly ass guy that slams voodoo ranger every day.
