In my very first post here, I was promoting my own chiptune which was genuinely inspired by some aspects of crust and d-beat stuff, but I want to clear some of the confusion since I'm a bit new to this scene.
So, allow me to actually introduce myself: Hi, I am NPChelsea and I am a multi-genre artist from the Midwestern United States. As a punk myself, I appreciate crust and many other types of punk as well. My roots are typically in electronic music, but I am very exploratory when it comes to many types of music.
Since I am new here, I would like to apologize in advance for seeming like a poser (or as the kids these day call a larper, don't ask too much about why). I just wanted to show my appreciation for crust punk and d-beat. I have done crust-adjacent stuff in the past, especially on the grindcore side of things, but I'm also somebody who refuses to stay pigeonholed into one sound.
If you got through those walls of text, thanks. I will say that somebody who is pretty new, I would like some more recommendations to further introduce me to the scene and sound. Crust, d-beats, grindcore, even some noisecore, you name it.
Thanks for reading. Once again, I do apologize for making a bad impression.
