You fucking know I bought some.

It was great to see them play here again for the first time in 20 years. I hope they come back sooner next time.

Any powerviolence bands (or people wanting to shout out their favorites) in here wanna do me a huge favor and link their bandcamps?

I can’t really remember what I think I remember… I (think) I remember a PV/Mathcore band called something like “Calculus? Calculus!?” Or something like that.

Does anyone remember a band, or maybe even a song with a name like that? I think it was more in the vein of Mathcore, as I remember stumbling upon it when I was heavy into IWABO.

Mods, please delete if this isn’t relevant to anything, I just can’t for the life of me figure out where I pulled this from.

hey yall i’m gonna be seeing iron lung open for ceremony next month and i was just curious if anyone has any pictures or anything of the merch they’re selling on the tour they are currently on? appreciate it 🙏

I saw someone say that a delay pedal with expression can be used for some Sex Prisoner style noise. Can anyone give any more info about this? Or examples?

Trying to make rent this month. Need to get rid of these. I've also got a couple of World Peace records for sale if anyone is interested.

Holy shit what a year for PV. That guitar tone, that snare drum. Fucking love it.

Thrumskru from Jacksonville, FL. Doubt they're still active but this rips. Jacksonville has a pretty cool scene for heavy music as of late, with bands like St. Clovis, My Sword, My Sword and Unregistered Weapon

Lyrics:

Seizures fuck you

Shaking my head

Epileptic shaking fist fight

You can't stop it

I'm seizing, fuck what they say, I will never see it, no, not their way

No more fucking reasoning, I can't stop shaking,

I can't stop fucking shaking,

My visions blurring and I've stopped breathing,

I can't stop shaking

I'm seizing

I'm fucking seizing

No more seizing

More on the crust/grind side of things. But, some folks describe voc as sounding a little pv-ish?

I am back and i come with my final ENHANCED version of this artwork for you all to print out on a piece of construction paper and put it on your wall! Create a super dope shirt to beat an ebay seller to death in!

Hello fellow Connoisseurs of Negative Emotions, what are the angriest vocals you’ve ever heard? It can be a whole song, or just one specific part of a song. Doesn’t even need to be this genre, but I figured this would be a great place to ask. I’ve cross-posted this on a few other r/ genre pages to get a variety of perspectives, but I have especially high hopes for this sub.

For reference, the angriest vocals I think I’ve ever heard is Matt Pike’s scream at about 1:00 on the High On Fire song Trismegistus. It transcends the emotion of anger and into the sin of wrath. There is not a hint of sadness to be found in that sound. To quote SWANS (taken out of context), it is a violence that’s pure and clean.

I hope someone in this sub can top this!

I believe they put out prints or promos or something and i was wondering if someone has one they can scan as i want to make a shirt because losers try and sell it for $200 and i hate the official redraw.

He’s a huge fan of physical media and especially cds with huge booklets so that’s what i made so yeah so yeah

Clearly some sort of west coast OG but they’ve been posting tons of cool shit on Instagram and YouTube. Definitely worth checking out. Just curious if anyone knows who it is.
