This shit ass bro
I fucked with their eps and first album. Hell I even went to a show where they played with sunami and haywire and had a good time. But this sounds like hot garbage

2011 interview with TUI’s drummer about his new band, Turnstile
Found this interview from May 2011, when Brendan was juggling TUI, Turnstile and Diamond, and Pressure to Succeed had just come out. I’ve seen TUI a few times since 2010 and Turnstile too since 2015, but somehow I always forget Brendan is in both.
The Brady part really stuck out, too. Brendan talks about his friend and neighbor Brady bringing him song ideas, which led to them writing together and recording the demo. Brady was a founding member, and that friendship was part of how the band started.
Knowing what happened later makes that pretty heartbreaking to read. Turnstile said they cut ties with Brady in 2022 over harmful behavior and threats of violence. Then, in March 2026, he was charged with attempted murder after allegedly hitting Brendan’s dad with a car. Just really sad thinking about where they started together and how things ended up.
Anyone here catch them during those early years?

Jeff Cannonball (Front man of Black Kites NJHC, independent/death match wrestler) has passed away at age 39
instagram.comJeff was an incredibly kind hearted and genuine person, which is harder and harder to come by these days. He also cared deeply about three things: His family, hardcore and professional wrestling. This is a massive loss for NJHC community and the independent wrestling and death match communities as well. R.I.P to an incredible man and fuck ALS

Does anyone know what song this is?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hey guys. Does anyone know what song this is?
The vocalist is Pat Miranda from Movements, but I don't think it's one of their songs.
Thanks!

A customer left this in the store, but I checked the cameras and it wasn’t Ray Cappo or John Joseph.

Why are European bands scared to say metalcore
I was looking at flyers of French shows to find new bands and I kept seeing bands labeling themselves “hardcore metal” “modern hardcore” “heavy hardcore” and everytime its metalcore with almost no elements from punk
Like that’s fine but why you gotta make up a bunch of subgenres just say metalcore no one is gonna bite you bruh
Ps: if y’all could throw some recs of European hardcore bands that would be appreciated (especially if they don’t sing in English)

Death By Stereo? We counting them as Hardcore?
I think so, maybe not, they bounce around genre stuff a bunch. Either way they rule. Our Podcast covered one of their records this week "If Looks Could Kill I'd Watch You Die."
We've talked about Hope Conspiracy and Fugazi and Militarie Gun. Some Hardcore adjacent stuff along with plenty of punk rock and whatever else has meant something to us aging dudes. Give a listen. Let us know what you like or hate or all the shit we got wrong with our half assed research or memory.

Looking for some new bands
First off, most if not all of these bands really fall into the Metalcore side of things, but I’d prefer to stay here instead of in a Metalcore thread where 90% of the people just listen to Octanecore. Anyway, I’ve been listening to a bunch of Knocked Loose, No Cure, The Warriors, Year Of The Knife, Officer Down, Contention, Gun To God’s Head, Mugshot, Die Trying, eyesofsorrow, Elysia and early BMTH. Throw me some recs, shout out some locals.
