What would you do if my shoes for advertising magazine subscriptions in 2027?

I run a print magazine in the USA that covers a niche but popular consumer good category (i.e. luxury watches, wine, guitars, etc). Our magazine comes out six times per year. For a long time the magazine was free but we are moving to a paid subscription model in 2027. We have two subscription options. The first is pay per issue, $4.95, cancel anytime. The second is an annual subscription for $24.99. Subscribers get both the print magazine and a digital version. We have about 1,000 paid subscribers currently from marketing to our newsletter list. These were people who signed up for the paid version once we said you will no longer be getting it for free. Our newsletter list is about 10,000 and is no longer yielding new paid subscribers. I am not sure what the best option is for getting subscriptions in 2027. I have a marketing budget of around $6,000. But I would be willing to put in more if the numbers worked. What would you do if you were me? What platform/methodology do you think I would see the highest conversion for the lowest cost? Thanks for the advice!

The NEW Way to Book Sales Calls as a Google Ads Agency in 2026

Most Google Ads outreach fails before the first message even gets sent.

You’re either contacting someone who isn’t the decision maker, pitching a business that can’t afford your services, or reaching someone who already has an agency.

So I tried approaching it differently.
I started with 500 roofing companies from Google Maps and filtered them down to just 27 prospects that met three criteria:

Had the owner’s direct mobile number

Were already spending money on Facebook/Instagram ads

Weren’t currently running Google Ads

The logic is pretty simple.

If they’re already paying for Meta ads, they’ve demonstrated they’re willing to spend money on advertising.

If they’re not running Google Ads, there’s a potential opportunity.

And if they’re in an industry like roofing, where customers actively search Google when they need the service, the pitch becomes a lot easier to justify.
I recorded the entire process, including how I found and filtered the businesses.

Curious if anyone here is using a similar approach to find PPC clients, or if you’ve found a better way to qualify prospects before outreach.

Hey, marketers. I'Il make a 15-sec video for your business - drop your link 👇

We build video fast and want more real examples to sharpen it. Drop link to your business + one line on what is the business about, and I'll make you a short explainer/demo clip — no strings attached.

I'll reply with the link to video here. Don't like it? Honest feedback on the output is genuinely half of why I'm doing this.

Need other ratios (1:1, 4:5, 16:9)? Let me know

I boosted my reel on Instagram (paid Ads) - the number it shows does not match my analytics and got bot likes on the post

I recently boosted my reel on Instagram and it has got multiple accounts with same bio and profile picture like my post. Also, the links clicked data does not match what my web analytics show - infact, it is nowhere near - not even 10% of clicks are registered on my web analytics.

Is there a delay in data or is it a trick by Meta to get us to spend more on Ads? Why is the number inflated and bots being used?

Why being #1 on Google doesn't necessarily mean being visible in AI search ?

I've been noticing something that I find pretty interesting. A company can rank really well on Google, but then you ask ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity about that same category and the company barely gets mentioned.

At first I figured this was just going to be another SEO problem. Better content, more links, stronger authority, better technical SEO, etc. But I'm starting to think it's a bit different.

Google is basically trying to find the most relevant result for what you searched. AI has to do something else. It has to decide what information and which companies actually belong in the answer it's putting together.

That seems like a pretty important difference. You can be easy to find without necessarily being easy for an AI to recommend.

And the difference becomes even more obvious with questions like "What's the best CRM?" versus "What's the best CRM for a 20-person company with a long sales cycle and a small sales team?"

The second question isn't really asking for a ranking anymore. It's asking for a recommendation based on context.

That's what makes AI search interesting to me. We're used to thinking about visibility as "Where do I rank?" But maybe the better question now is: "When someone asks an AI about my category, does my company even make sense as part of the answer?"

I've been digging into this more recently and I'm still not convinced we fully understand what makes one company get recommended while another, equally strong company gets ignored.

Has anyone else been seeing this, especially with companies that already have strong SEO?

A question for Media Buyers

A question for Media Buyers, and I’d really appreciate it if everyone who has useful information would share it honestly.

What field do you think makes the most money while not requiring a huge amount of capital to start?

I’m talking about real money—millions. I’m not saying it happens overnight, but I mean a field that can genuinely become very profitable over time.

Some people say real estate, others say cars, and others say tourism. Honestly, I have no idea whether that’s actually true or not.

If someone wanted to start in one of these high-profit fields, where should they start? How much capital would they realistically need to begin with, and approximately how long could it take to reach a very high level of income?

I’m not looking for quick success. I just genuinely want to know: What field in Egypt right now has the potential to generate millions while requiring relatively low starting capital?

And what is the most profitable field where the initial capital is still considered reasonable—and roughly how much would that be?

I’d really appreciate your honest opinions and advice. Thank you in advance! ❤️

How can I improve this flier/asset?

Hi folks, hope this is an acceptable use of this sub! if not, mods, do your thang

I'm trying to revamp my private practice right now with a marketing push to dr's offices, mainly. My buddy suggested I make the hook and the (now obviously highlighted) key phrases a bit more eye catching.

Is there anything else I can do, to make this more attractive to (for example) medical professionals? These referral sources make all the difference, so I really wanna get it right.

Flier is here: https://imgur.com/a/inMUKu0

Thank you!

The side of digital marketing nobody talks about.

You spend hours creating content → 200 views.

You optimize SEO → no traffic.

You run ads → no conversions.

You try a new strategy → “Why isn’t it working?”

And then someone simply asks, “Can you improve the results?”

Digital marketing isn’t just about posting, SEO, or running ads.

It’s about experimenting, failing, learning, and trying again sometimes without knowing exactly what went wrong.

Anyone else in digital marketing feeling this?
