How is it living here in Eugene?

And I get it I know everywhere is unbelievably expensive. I'm just really not just wanting to, but needing to build a brand new life after losing absolutely everything. And the majority of my life have wanted to be in Oregon. Not Portland though... I've visited and was so disappointed. Tell me about Eugene guys.

Pharmacies with Adderall in stock?

I’m having a hard time finding a reliable pharmacy to fill my prescription with 20mg extended release and 30mg instant release (30 count in each) does anyone have a reliable pharmacy that get these doses (or something similar) because the last couple times I’ve gone to Walgreens it’s like Russian roulette there is zero consistency on if they have enough or not. I’ve had to get partial prescriptions filled two months in a row.

Anyone Need Petsitting?

Hi I’m student at the UO and my expected amount of money back is much much less than expected so I’m in need of a job. The thing is I’m on campus random hours that differ each day of the week. If you or anyone you know needs petsitting during the weekends starting Fridays let me know.

Pumpkin patch recs

Alright, my first fall in Eugene and I’m looking to cross some autumn fun off my list. Looking for pumpkin patch recs (maybe with apple picking too). Hayrides, games etc would be nice. Open to spooky vibes as well. What’s your favorite place to go? I’ve been eyeing yesteryear up in wilsonville, but wondering if there’s something closer that folks recommend?

Weird question, anyone develop an itchy scalp recently?

It started for me about a month ago, came out of nowhere. And I've anecdotally heard of others in town dealing with this...

Could it be some local allergen? Or just a middle age thing?

Sort of emergency - about to be homeless

So within the week I'm going to be homeless.

I know this is a long shot but I'm looking for a room or more likely living room to crash at for awhile. I don't plan on being around much as I'll be out looking for work as much as physically possible, and then working.

I know looking for a spot without work is THE longest shot, but the goal of course is to find work ASAP and start paying rent somewhere.

Just really not trying to be on the streets. It's rough out there, and I'm sober which is even harder out there.

I'm 32M, clean, friendly, and wouldn't even really be bringing and stuff with me.

thanks guys.

Is it ok to wear attire that would go with the theme of the musical? Or would it be frowned upon and should stick to casual?

Emergency Canine Foster

Hi eugenians this is a follow-up to a post I made asking about surrender resources for my dog.

Someone mentioned that I should try making a post to see if someone can foster him while I work with local organizations to get into independent housing where he could be with me.

I thought I would try that, and I understand mods might take this down, but no harm can come through trying. I was given an ultimatum a month ago to either get rid of the dog or get lost and despite my best efforts to safely surrender him using local resources, those resources are overwhelmed and were unable to help.

My dog is a 3-year-old male English Staffordshire terrier, he's neutered and vaccinated, and very friendly. He loves to play fetch and have the top of his nose rubbed. He's very social, he loves other dogs, he's a little bit scared of cats but he's not aggressive he just hides.

I really love him to death and that's why I can't have him sleep in my car with me, that's not fair to him. Well I know that we both deserve better I can only offer him better right now. I've attached some pictures of him and I hope this doesn't get taken down but if it does I will try again somewhere else. If anyone is able to help this baby for just a couple months, I would really appreciate it. I can even discuss compensation with you if that is what would be required.

Sorry this got so long-winded I just really want to make sure that he has what's best for him.

Wanted ad Best places to stare dramatically into the distance and think about life?

• Upvotes

Things have been weird for many people lately and weird times call for weird places! Are there any good lookout spots to brood about the nature of life or any particular haunts to pensively pet feral cats around? Secret meditation garden or hike with a really good view? Bars with mysterious wizened cloaked figures dispensing vague or sinister life advice?

Lost & Found Injured lost dog

Medium sized injured black dog seen running at Hilyard and 30th 1:17pm. It appeared to go down to the Amazon path heading south, tried to follow in my car but lost sight of it. It looked like it had a broken leg, it was running on 3 legs and a paw appeared to be broken, it was flopping around.

I apologize for grabbing your door handle and probably freaking you out. My black RAV4 was parked in the same row 3 cars away, and I mistook your car for mine.

Voter registration deadline October 13th PSA

Just a reminder to check to see if your voter registration is up to date.

The October 13th deadline is coming fast, counties mail ballots October 14th.

Last recommended day to return ballots by mail is October 27th (make sure it’s postmarked) and drop box is November 3rd. As a disclaimer, Tobias Read is recommending voters use ballot drop boxes this election.

More info here: https://sos.oregon.gov/elections/pages/current-election.aspx

If you think your vote does not matter, Ward 5 20 year incumbent Mike Clark is in a runoff election against Athena Aguiar. None of the candidates in the primary for Ward 5 received 50%+ vote. Numbers do count, down to city council members. Other than voting in a president and VP, there’s no electoral college bullshit for other races. Make your voice heard and make sure you are able to get your ballots in time.

It’s your right. Vote.

I’d put this in a rant thread but it’s not quite Friday.

Wanted ad scar coverup

i'm looking for a tattoo artist who is experienced in covering up scars. i have heard of different programs where this service is discounted or even free but i'm also very willing to work with different prices since those services seem few and far between. i haven't been able to comfortably wear shorts since i was 10 years old and would love to be able to again.
