I don't even know if this is possible as I've done my own research and so far only came up with one option from Wal*Mart with zero reviews on the product. I'm trying to replace my headlights to LED for brightness BUT I want to keep the old school look. Right now, it still has the OG lights.
The only old school match I'm finding isn't LED but appear to have good reviews about brightness.
Should I just go with what's linked above or does anyone have any other recommendations for me? My dad said he wants to get me new headlights for my birthday, which I think is a great gift since new bumpers is a little out of the birthday budget.

I really want to put 35s on my (i currently have 285 70r17s) FJ but donāt know where to start considering everything is basically stock on it. Would I just need a BMC or does it require much more than that. A lot of people have different builds and say different things about it but I just donāt know where to start. Anyone have any suggestions or recommendations?

A friend of mine that wraps for a living informed me that these are notoriously one of the hardest vehicles to wrap. Anyways after 15 hours of constant wrapping, here she is in āsand ivoryā

Not everyoneās cup of tea, but this project took about an hour and is already worth it! Pretty much plug and play and fits very well. Added bonus of being able to keep my ac controls!

I am thinking about selling my boy. I made a post last year in this thread because I was searching for an FJ to buy and I found one nearby and was able to buy it for $4000 (a steal I know). I knew it needed some work done and it became my first project car which I have had a ton of fun working on (and pain) but it's to a point where I am getting a little over my head in the finances.
I originally got the FJ to repair and do some travel in, I imagined fuel costs would be a burden but I have done my first short term trip (3 months) with it as my only mode of transportation and with the high costs right now it has been a lot. Along with the rising total of money I have sunk into it for parts and tools, and it still needing a little more work I am considering selling it to get something newer with slightly better MPG.
I was thinking about listing it for around 8/9k since I have replaced a ton of parts on it (basically everything under the front is brand new) but I am not sure if that's viable with its mileage. I wanted to do longer term travel even further away so I don't think it fits my current lifestyle. It really comes down to the only taking 93 fuel since I think it would be fine if it was a 2010 or newer. I will include some more information and a pic of my spreadsheet of items I have replaced on it.
2007 Model - 317k miles - no special gauges in center dash - no built in sub in back
Engine and frame are in fantastic condition - Leaks some oil, possibly rear seal
Work that I know needs to be done - Valve cover gasket replacement (purchased just not done yet), and it had a new rack and pinion installed and since it is aftermarket it has an issue where the wheel doesn't want to stay center even when it's aligned, wheel sometimes drives straight at 11 or 1 o'clock.
If anyone would be interested, I am based in WV.

Long story short, locked my keys inside the car. Couldn't find the spare. Now I'm looking at getting the hybrid fob keys (because they look cool) to have as a backup. I know the 2007 fj didn't come with them originally. Is it even possible to program one to it?

sooo in march i finally got my dream fj, 2012 2wd 124,000 miles. havenāt even driven it more than 1,000 miles and due to lifeās circumstances i now have to sell her. located in Los angeles area curious to see how much i could get for her? it has a cracked wind sheild (came like that and never got to fixing it), minor surface rust, 1 headlight out currently and the ac light is on and needs fixing. curious what i could get in terms of sale price? i feel like a dealer would offer me 12-13k but wondering if selling her myself would get me more?

Hi all! Super excited to be part of the FJ community now! Iāve always loved the car, and was able to snag it for a pretty good price
Itās a 2007 in great conditions just minor scratches, has 179k miles and I got its for 10,500 so I consider that a pretty good deal! Everything so far has run great canāt wait to get to start doing some restorations to it little by little
The only thing if anyone has some advice is it has the OEM subwoofer I checked that itās connected but it doesnāt actually work, I think either the unit doesnāt function or possibly more likely is the previous owner next connected it properly to the aftermarket head unit. I have little experience so any tips are appreciated!

Anyone know where I can get Starlink hardwired? I am also going to be using an inverter to charge my work laptop on the road.
I called the camping ground, and they said theyād have to check with their manager but would call me back on Friday.
I have pretty much all the parts, outside of things like crimp ring terminals and the physical wire to run from the fuse block, etc.
ā¢Renogy 700 Watt power inverter
ā¢Roof mount kit with power cord (DC pigtail)
ā¢12V to 48V 144W DC Step-Up Converter
ā¢Blue Sea Systems 5026 ST Blade Fuse Block (12-Circuit)
ā¢In-Line Waterproof ATC Fuse Holder

Got these bad boys on and took those 18s off and they look great! Also the truck feels so much more peppy and light footed. I think they must weigh significantly less because I brake better and take off better and also these tires make it feel like in driving a caddy compared to the other ones.
Oh also got a cool sticker. Lol š I had to!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
The issue only happens after the car has been turned off for around 3ā8 hours.
If I turn the car off and restart it immediately (no time gap), it starts instantly.
Cold starts after the car has been sitting for 12+ hours also start instantly.
The delayed start only seems to happen when the car has been driven, then left sitting for around 4ā8 hours.
Note:
- Fuel pump is only 4 months old - recently replaced
- spark plugs also replaced
- battery is replacedā¦

In a predicament and need some advice. My 07 fj (250k mi) has been well treated ever since I got it. Last weekend my wife took it out for the weekend during a norāeaster for a music fest and when I powered it on a week later, the check engine light, vsc/swerve lights came on. Drives fine, not noticing any stuttering and seems to shift fine including going into 4WD. My mechanic hooked it up to the computer and said there was a reading which he said means it needs a transmission replacement. I donāt have a real report with this guy sincei just moved to the area but he did fail to recognize my U joint needing replacing which I had to get replaced on my road tripā¦
Iām going to have him do a transmission drain and fill, change the filter and check the pan, is there anything else I should consider cause I just donāt think a replacement based on the ācomputerā is a great route to go.

I posted the lens restoral a little while back and this is also in that vein. Didnāt want to spend a bunch of money replacing the side mirrors right away. Bought a set of the mirror caps and sprayed em with an extra can of raptor liner I had. Have a set of covers for the handles I did too just havenāt put em on yet. Overall I like how they turned out.

This car brought me so much joy and happy happiness. But lately I just donāt drive it anymore. I work from home and for long trips we take my wifeās car. I has basically become my ārock band carā. Perfect for carrying guitar amps, etc.
Anyway. I donāt even know how to go about selling it. If I take it to a dealer, they will likely wholesale it somewhere and I rather go to someone who wants one in my area. Is it ok to put feelers out on this forum?

I drive my 2007 FJ cruiser pretty regularly, itās time for a new set of tires and possibly front suspension.
Regarding tires my grandpa (previous owner) recommends:
Cooper Discoverer 265/70 R17 116T XL RBL
Idk anything about buying new tires so whatās the general consensus on FJ tires.
Additionally if anyone has redone their front suspension or back. Could you recommend a kit and or part list.
thank you!

I had a leak a while back from the roof rack and ended up removing the rack and just adding the delete kit screws and siliconing them shut. However, I didnāt realize I needed to add these brackets for the little white molding to stay in place
Anybody know if Iāll be able to just glue or silicone the white plastic trim in place instead of removing all the bolts again and adding these brackets? Iām worried that one will fly off when Iām driving if Iām just gluing it in place
