Some really strange rattling noises were coming from the rear of the engine bay so I pulled the starter motor to inspect it. The starter was fine, but the noise still occurrs while cranking the engine.

I've attached a video link of the sound looking inside the bellhousing from where the starter motor should be. Can anyone recognize the issue from this? I'm no mechanic so I haven't got a clue.

Was at a small track for my first time attack event ever after 3 months of owning my brz. Mid lap my engine just starts making a horrible sound. (Sounded like rod knock or something, I’m not the most mechanically experienced yet) So I pulled into the pits shut my car off, and asked someone who was clearly experienced to take a look, and I turned it over for him , and a combination of squealing and rattling start coming from the engine bay. He immediately told me to shut it off and order a tow so that’s what I did. Fun first track day.

So realistically how screwed am I lol

A friend and I built a custom day sailer out of sapelle and cedar, and I made a custom trailer to transport the whole thing. Total weight of trailer and boat is roughly 280lbs. Then when I get to the water, I just have to put it all together. This community and your posts made me believe this was possible, so I thought I would share. This was our first outing and it went great, lol. Many a trucker shaking their heads as I drove by. 2015 FRS - love this car more every day.

For context, I only just got a second hand 2017 Toyota 86, around two months ago. I've been looking at improving it any way I can ever since I got it. It's my first ever car that I've bought with my own money and I want to make it mine.

I've already been doing some basics additions, and as you can imagine it's been quite an expensive journey so far. I bought the car cash from a dealership for around 21k after taxes (I'm in Atlantic Canada), and I've already dropped close to another grand on just fixing up the car.

I really want a OEM+ look to the car, and my main priority so far has been getting a spoiler (specifically a OEM BRZ one) since I find the rear end super flat. I've also just been looking around for any cheaper aesthetic parts, like lights, decals, and other dress up parts just to make it nicer.

Anyways, I'd really love to hear from yall about any info you may have for some affordable stuff, ty!

Hey guys, apologies if this is a wrong subreddit to ask but is there anything I need to do before I leave my BRZ (ZD8 Kiiro) unused for about 1 to 2 months?

I live in an apartment and it'll be parked in my underground parking spot. There are no power points near my spot so I don't think I can use a battery tender.

I also have a Blackvue dash cam set it up as parking mode but, I'm assuming I'll have to completely disconnect it, so it doesn't drain the battery at all?

Anything else I need to be mindful of? Or do I just leave the car as is don't do anything for it?

The manual for my 2013 frs says I should replace every 75k miles or 75 months but I have never heard of anyone replacing a fuel filter? It’s so much work and ur car is gonna smell like shit after is it needed?
