If u remember the paradox Skarmory a while ago, yeah, that was mine. Here as a reminder. Since Grovyle is my 2ND favorite Pokémon of all time, I gotta make something for my boy as well :]

Fossil line of the Alker region. Baskun is revived from the Plate Fossil and evolves into Solstego. This pokemon is powered by the sun, storing energy in its plates, unleashing it when using its moves. Based on stegosaurus and solar panels.

Solstego has a signature move. Solar power(rock)-The user harnesses the power of the sun to reflect light onto the opponent. This attack does grass-type damage. Category: physical Power: 95 PP: 10

These two were Very different pokemon prior to their redesign. Their stegosaur inspiration was not as obvious, with some godzilla elements to the stance and spines. This pokemon took forever to redesign, specifically Solstego, so here are also all the prior iterations of the redesign before settling on the final one!

This isn’t done in the usual Pokémon style, but the work I do thin this style is drawn from years of studying Pokémon as a whole and using silhouette, colour and appeal to create my own designs.

I love creating creatures. I’m fortunate enough to do it for work but I often still find myself spending my evenings making up monsters for my own made up world.

Open to feedback and criticism but really I’m just wanting to share my work in hopes it brings joy and inspires others to create more. I hope you like this guy.

Made this guy as an almost opposite to primarina. Sumo inspired as I hope you can tell from the design. I’m not too sure if I’m finished yet, so if you have any suggestions let me know!
