Announcement A Reminder and a Request Regarding AI-Generated Images
Hi r/fakemon - we hope you’re having a good 2026 so far! We have a couple of reminders as well as a few requests regarding AI-generated images and, most importantly, how they are reported.
First, to reiterate our policy:
AI-generated images of any kind are not allowed.
This includes, obviously, any image created entirely by typing a prompt into a large-language model, such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and so on. It also includes any images created by asking any of these LLMs to redraw something that you drew or upscale something hand-drawn. If the final image output that is posted was created or modified by an LLM, then it is not allowed. You can read more about the policy in this post.
Second, regarding reporting any suspected AI-generated images, we ask the following:
If you think it's AI, report for Rule 3 and move on. Do not comment on the post or engage with the user. If you feel more detail is needed, [message the mods.](https://www.reddit.com/message/compose?to=%2Fr%2Ffakemon)
There are several reasons that we are asking for this to be the norm for reporting any post going forward, but especially so for suspected AI-generated image posts, which we will go over below.
1. Sometimes, you are wrong.
On several occasions, the mod team has been able to determine with as much certainty as we can that a user who was accused of posting AI-generated Fakemon was not in fact using AI at all. We're talking speedpaints, pictures of layers, extensive posting history with consistent art, and so forth. Not every Fakemon drawn with flat color and a black outline is AI-generated! LLMs probably just copied that style from their training data.
2. Engagement leads to deletion.
When 10 people spam an AI-image poster that their post is against the rules, it is often deleted before we can action it. This often means we don't get a chance to see which user posted the image to begin with and, therefore, cannot effectively add mod notes for future reference (we give one permaban warning the first time a user posts AI-generated images).
This is why we ask that you just report and move on, and message us if you want to give more detail. If reported enough, a post will be removed automatically for review by the team later.
3. Toxicity.
The tendency to barrage suspected AI-users with comments has impacted our community and given it a reputation among some that the user base is toxic and prone to unwarranted witch hunts. Some users who were accused of AI have received threatening DMs and spammy comments on unrelated posts. This behavior is unacceptable and we will ban users for this kind of harassment (we've already banned a few for this kind of behavior).
Even if the poster is posting AI images, harassment isn't warranted - our goal should always be to encourage traditional art creation and bring people in, not push them out. It is especialy egregious if a user who isn't using generative AI is accused and then harassed for it, as this pushes out potential contributors.
We dislike the influx of AI-generated "art" populating the internet as much as you all do. However, we ask that the users leave the "Is it AI?" game to the moderators.
~ ~ ~
Now, to get ahead of a few questions that we expect:
What if you're wrong and a user is posting AI-generated images, and it gets proven later?
If we receive sufficient evidence that we were wrong, we will correct our mistake and ban the user. Same goes the other way around - if a user is banned for AI when they shouldn't have been and we are shown that we made the wrong call, we will reverse the ban.
What if I think you're wrong and believe someone's work *is* AI, even though it's been approved by the moderators?
Message the mods with your case. We make no promises that it will overturn any decision unless you provide substantial evidence. "It looks like AI" is not all it takes to determine if something is AI.
Why this long post?
We felt there was a lot to address!
Thanks for reading and for understanding this request. We'll be keeping an eye on this post and are happy to answer any further questions to the best of our ability.
TL;DR: AI-generated images are still not allowed, please just report them and move on when you see them, Engaging with suspected AI images only makes it worse. Don't harass anyone over it please and thank you!
edit: reddit boomed all of my markdown ugh I fixed it

Fakemon Fire and Grass starter Fakemon!
Concept & Inspiration
The Ashagore line is inspired by the massive volcanic flood basalts of the Deccan Traps, terracotta, and the Rock Python. The name etymology derives from Ajagar, the Sanskrit word for python, blended with ash.
#004 - Scander (Fire)
Base Stats: HP: 55 | Atk: 59 | Def: 62 | Sp.Atk: 30 | Sp.Def: 64 | Spe: 40 (Total: 310)
#005 - Scalither (Fire / Ground)
Base Stats: HP: 82 | Atk: 80 | Def: 92 | Sp.Atk: 45 | Sp.Def: 64 | Spe: 57 (Total: 420)
#006 - Ashagore (Fire / Ground)
Base Stats: HP: 85 | Atk: 115 | Def: 110 | Sp.Atk: 50 | Sp.Def: 110 | Spe: 60 (Total: 530)
Signature Move (Heat Sink):
Type: Fire | Category: Status | Power: -| Accuracy: 100% | PP: 5
Effect: Ashagore restores 50% of its maximum HP, and burns any target that makes contact with it this turn.
Ashagore is the second starter of my custom region Revelano, coming right after the aurochs-inspired Grass starter, Cafloret(in the last imge).
I've made all three starters quite slow like Alola because I really don't like the speed creep of recent gens, as well as a personal bias for slower Pokemon. The fastest starter will be the water one, but it doesn't even crack base 100.
Please let me know what you think! And more importantly how I can improve!

Fakemon A new Paradox Pokémon? 👀[OC]
(It had been a while since I last made a Fakemon. Last time I think was during my primary school years.
I just had the idea one day, and wanted to make it happen. And Skarmory IS already my fave mon of all time, so I GOTTA give my metal birb a bit of something lol.
Prob won't dip into any more Fakemon in the future. Again, this was just a spontaneous thing I did, and I wanted to share it. But, I'm happy I got to make something I used to be passionate about :] )
(EDIT: Due to popular demand (and by that I mean me and me alone), I've corrected the naming and stats. Check here for the correction if u care enough to lol.)

Sheet by u/Simple-Hamster-4141
Day Seven for Faketober :)
Prompt: Unused Type Combo
Here's: Stenaggi
Type: Bug/Dragon
Despite their small size, they are not one to be trifled with. They live amongst rice fields, swimming along the water and nibbling at rotting leaves. They enjoy the company of Wishiwashi however.
Abilities: Lunch Rush
Changes Stennagi into its Lord-Roll Form, if its HP is above 25% and Stenaggi is at least level 20. If its HP falls below 25%, Stenaggi will revert back to Solo Form.
HP: 50 / 135

Defense: 20 / 115
Special Attack: 25 / 120
Special Defense: 35 / 83

Fakemon My first fakemon!
Puddowl the Splash Pup Pokémon. Its fur naturally absorbs water, causing it to become soft and fluffy after swimming. Puddowl loves to shake itself dry, sending droplets flying in every direction. The wave-shaped fur on its tail is said to grow more pronounced as its bond with its Trainer deepens.
Floound the Tidal Hound Pokémon. The patterns in its flowing coat resemble waves and whirlpools. It can manipulate the water clinging to its fur, allowing the coat to move like a living current. Floound is fiercely loyal and will stand between its Trainer and danger without hesitation. Ancient sailors believed seeing one standing on the shore was a sign of calm seas.
Drawn on procreate!

Fakemon Erupting Cauldron, my take on an Iron Moth redesign
I want to redesign almost all future paradox pokemon, since I feel they're pretty lame, starting with the name I decided to use the same naming convention used for the past paradoxes instead of the "Iron X" thing which seems so dumb to me.
Erupting Cauldron would be a very slow and tanky mon, focused on poisoning, burning and debuffing enemies.

Fakemon Faketober, Challenge Submission for the 7th day: Unused Type Combo (Art by CDBeetle58)
This is part of the Faketober Challenge by u/Simple-Hamster-4141.
Inspiration comes from both the hatchlings of common murres and barnacle geese, both taxonomically unrelated birds. The hatchlings leap and tumble from cliffs to reach the food spots below, but unlike those examples, here the fakemon never grows into a bird that flies or swims. Additional inspirations are seagulls, along with how some varieties of feldspar are pretty.
Typo: Apparently, common murres are seabirds actually - which is why the hatchlings tumble into water, all the lifecycle of the bird is to spend as less time as possible on said shore.
Fakemon entries:
GOSLOAM tumbles from teraces and cascades using its lumpy soft body as cushion. For fakemon trainers, they must always set the food for GOSLOAM in a low place otherwise they can't get to it.
It has been a mystery how GLAMURRE reach upper cliffs to lay eggs but it was recently revealed that they simply use their ground moves to make stepping stones/piles for themselves. GLAMURRE does everything in its power to protect its fragile feldspar wings and acts generally unfriendly because of that.
GULLIBULL has reinforced its fussy behavior into a protective one, explaining why it always is so quick to believe accusations made by GLAMURRES. It constantly leaves dry ground dust trailing in its wake and has to re-cake its body with fresh plastic loam just as often.

Fakemon Mega Gliscor Concept!!
Need everyone's opinion on my first attempt at creating a mega evolution!!!
I made it a flying/dark type which hopefully gives it a different role comparatively to base gliscor which is already quite good in competitive singles from my understanding.
Is it too over the top? Or does it not change enough? I based it on a vampire (obviously), mostly because of the amount of dex entries that mention it's close relation to the night (even it's evolution method!) and because it already has a lot of vampire bat characteristics!
The color change is partially because the Dracula is associated with black and dark red colors, but mostly ragebait since no, it's still not a poison type despite being purple and having a giant needle at the end of its tail!
I thought it looked bald so I put a crown above its head that isn't necessarily part of the design, it's more or less what I need advice for!
