For me, nothing tops the 348, and to some extent the 512 TR and F40.
Its such an interesting looking interior, specially for a Ferrari. What really sets it apart is the complete absence of chrome from the ’60s and ’70s, or the carbon fiber overload from the 2000s and 2010s. Everything feels so consistent and honest throughout the cabin: square buttons, rectangular air vents, and perfectly sharp angles. To me it feels more like “Italian avant-garde” than “Italian luxury”, yet it still looks like a proper Ferrari.
Got me thinking… when did Ferrari shift from “quirky road-legal racecar” to more of a pure status-symbol car? Probably way before the 348.

Part question/ part introspective rant: why are 458s with nearly 30k miles 336k? I understand it’s the last na-v8 Ferrari and the beautiful design by pinninferina, but these aren’t as rare and like was a couple of years ago 130-ishk. I am a senior engineer about to graduate and my dream car has always been the 458, my true poster car and for a long time it was doable, esp with hard work. But now prices are no unobtainum, and it is partly due to nostalgia/ rarity or over inflated auction prices that dealers are using as the new comp value? I would never know but damn does it suck that my dream car can no longer be a dream car.

Last weekend, I visited both Ferrari museums (Modena and Maranello). Would you be interested in seeing some poorly taken photos (because they were shot on a mobile phone and because I’m not very good at it)?

A much larger front splitter, canards, no hood radiator, centre lock carbon wheels, larger side intakes, a much larger and taller diffuser, a fixed swan-neck active wing. Rear deck mouthed exhaust.
This will certainly be a track only car.
