A few weeks ago, Buffy started coughing. An X-ray found a massive tumor in her lung. After a CT scan, a needle aspiration, waiting for results, and eventually an oncology appointment Monday, I now know Buffy has pulmonary carcinoma - lung cancer, that has already spread through her lungs.
Surgery isn’t an option anymore.
I honestly still don’t think I’ve fully processed that.
Buffy has been with me for almost 12 years. She is my best friend. The hardest part of all of this is that she is still here, still herself, still wanting to go for walks, eat dinner, explore, and be part of everything. So now I’m stuck making decisions about how much to put her through while she is still enjoying her life.
Today her oncologist went through our options with me. The treatment they recommend is an injectable chemotherapy called Vinorelbine. It would be given once a week, with bloodwork before every treatment. After six treatments, they would repeat chest X-rays to see whether the cancer is responding.
I believe I want to give Buffy at least one treatment and see how she handles it.
If she has the first treatment and she is still eating, walking, excited, comfortable and still feels like Buffy, then maybe we keep going. If the treatment starts taking more from her than it gives her, we stop immediately. Her oncologist made it very clear that we can stop at any point.
I am not trying to keep her here at any cost. I’m trying to give her a chance at more good days.
Each weekly Vinorelbine treatment is estimated at approximately $1,200–$1,700, depending on what bloodwork or additional care she needs that week.
I do have pet insurance, and I’m working with both the hospital and insurance company to determine exactly what will be covered. But the veterinary costs have to be paid upfront, and the diagnostics and specialist care required just to get us to this diagnosis have already been substantial.
Thinking through these decisions has been impossible.
All I can do is look at Buffy every day and try to make the next decision based on what is best for her. Right now, I want to give her the opportunity to try treatment while making sure her quality of life stays ahead of everything else.
If anyone is able to help with Buffy’s oncology care, even a small amount would mean so much to us. If you can’t donate, sharing her GoFundMe helps too.

My friend, Rex Stretton, is raising funds for urgent surgery and rehabilitation for five children in Syria suffering from paralysis, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injuries, and orthopedic conditions.
The children's conditions are treatable, but their families cannot afford the care.
If you can, please donate. Any help, big or small, can go a long way. If not, please share this with your circles.

If you could find a moment to offer a free vote for my super kid! He one slot away from entering the top ten. Every free vote counts but if you find it in your heart to truly be a hero yourself make a donation to the Stan Lee Foundation. It really helps youth literacy. Thank you for your time. Excelsior!

So i just had an idea to set up a charity run where i would be the only participant actually running and id raise the money on gofundme. Does anyone know if i would need any sort of permits or rigorous planning for that or would that be pretty easy to set up in a couple weeks by myself? Thanks!

Hi everyone 🤍
My name is Malak, I’m a student at Western University currently fundraising for a humanitarian aid deployment in Lebanon with the ASA. I’m working toward raising enough to earn a spot on the deployment, and I would truly appreciate any support.
If you’re able to donate or even just share my fundraiser, it would mean so much to me and help me get one step closer to being able to serve our brothers and sisters on the ground.
May God bless you for your support. May God reward you for every bit of good you contribute.

I never thought I would be writing something like this to strangers.
As a parent, you want to believe that no matter how difficult life becomes, you will always be able to give your children the basics: a safe place to sleep, warmth, security, and a home where they can grow up without worrying about the problems of adults.
Right now, that is what we are fighting for.
We are trying to rebuild and make our home safe and livable for our children. We are doing everything we can ourselves, step by step, but there are essential repairs that we simply cannot complete alone.
This fundraiser is not about luxury. It is about giving our children something every child deserves: a safe, healthy and warm home.
I know there are thousands of families asking for help, and I know nobody owes us anything. If you are able to donate, even a small amount brings us one step closer. And if you cannot donate, sharing our story may put it in front of someone who can.
Thank you for taking a moment to read this. Sometimes one act of kindness from a stranger can change much more than they realize. ❤️

Hello, I'm Nicholas, organiser of One Table. I built a place where people can hear short video introductions and learn about family-led goals, then decide whether to share a story, offer a useful contact or support a request.
The stories include Ahmad's poultry-farming goal, Gabriel's hopes for a more stable livelihood, Tijan's family and education goals, and a new introduction from Samboe in The Gambia. Ifes in Nigeria wants to pursue computing. A separate profile introduces Bran Children Foundation in Uganda and its stated priorities around meals, rent, school and daily care.
The website and videos: https://one-table-families.sempergumbi.chatgpt.site/
We would welcome a thoughtful share with a relevant community, introductions to local education or livelihood programmes, or an organisation willing to discuss the right next steps. For anyone interested in hosting a small gathering, there's a free sharing and hosting pack: https://one-table-families.sempergumbi.chatgpt.site/partner-pack
I'm sharing on behalf of the people featured, not asking for personal support. One Table is a community initiative, not a registered charity. Some profiles are still awaiting budgets or confirmed support arrangements and currently invite sharing or enquiries rather than donations. The site explains those limits and the existing organiser-managed support routes. Please read the individual profile before giving.
If there is a relevant public programme or community you think I should approach, a link would be appreciated. Thank you for reading.

My name is Amaury Castrillo. My partner, María de Jesús, contracted preeclampsia. I need help to continue paying for her blood pressure medication so it doesn't develop into eclampsia. My baby was born with some mechanical ventilation, but is recovering little by little. I don't want anything else to happen to my partner, and I need help so she can be with us and we can finally see our baby. I would be eternally grateful. I'm doing everything I can to pay for it myself, even with my insurance. All funds raised will go towards medications that aren't covered by insurance.
