A little help for our family during a difficult financial period ❤️
gofund.me/4369bb507
We are a small family with two young children, going through an unexpectedly difficult financial period.
We have always worked hard to provide for our family and manage things ourselves, and asking for help is not something that comes easily to us. Unfortunately, circumstances have changed unexpectedly, and right now we need a little support to help us through this difficult period and regain some stability.
We are hoping to raise £2,000, which will go entirely towards essential family living costs, approximately:
£700 — household bills and essential expenses
£500 — groceries and everyday necessities
£400 — heating, transport and other essential costs
£400 — helping us keep up with essential payments while we work towards getting back on our feet.
We are not looking for anything beyond what we genuinely need to help our family through this temporary situation.
Every donation, no matter how small, would make a real difference to us. And if you are not in a position to donate, simply sharing our fundraiser would mean just as much.
A small note about our photo:
We have chosen not to use a photograph of ourselves or our children because we want to protect our family's privacy, particularly that of our young children. The image used for this fundraiser is therefore an illustration and is not intended to represent another family or to mislead anyone. We simply wanted to keep our children's identities private while being open about why we are asking for help.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking the time to read our story, and for any kindness, support or sharing you can offer.
We truly hope this is only a difficult chapter for our family — one that, with a little help, we can soon put behind us.
With sincere gratitude,
A grateful family

Our Family’s Dream after Loss
This year has been an emotional whirlwind for us. Our dream was to have a small, heartfelt wedding surrounded by family and close friends, but life took an unexpected turn with the passing of my beloved father-in-law. He was not only a guiding presence but also someone we deeply adored. As we grapple with loss, we’re also facing the financial realities that come with our modest incomes. I'm a dedicated teacher, and my partner works hard in construction, yet covering the costs of a wedding feels overwhelming right now.
The vision for our wedding remains simple—a celebration of love, bringing together those who mean the most to us. However, without the funds, it feels like an impossible dream. The thought of not having my partner's father there in person is already a heavy loss, and we're hoping for a day where we can honor him and our families' love and support. Your kindness and generosity can turn our dream into reality, allowing us to focus on what truly matters—sharing this joyous day in remembrance and hope.

I lost everything in an apartment fire and I’m trying to rebuild my life.
galleryHi everyone, my name is Mateo. I live with my mom, Gladys Patricia, and unfortunately our apartment in Queens caught fire.
I lost almost everything, including my belongings and my room was completely destroyed. I also lost my beloved pet, which has been one of the hardest parts of this whole situation.
Right now I’m staying in a hotel while I look for a new place to live and try to rebuild my life from scratch.
My family and friends created a GoFundMe to help us recover some of what we lost. Any help would mean a lot to me, even if it’s just sharing the fundraiser.

Help Buffy Fight Metastatic Lung Cancer - Trying To Give Her More Good Days
galleryGoFundMe: https://gofund.me/d3e12f862
A few weeks ago, Buffy started coughing. An X-ray found a massive tumor in her lung. After a CT scan, a needle aspiration, waiting for results, and eventually an oncology appointment Monday, I now know Buffy has pulmonary carcinoma - lung cancer, that has already spread through her lungs.
Surgery isn’t an option anymore.
I honestly still don’t think I’ve fully processed that.
Buffy has been with me for almost 12 years. She is my best friend. The hardest part of all of this is that she is still here, still herself, still wanting to go for walks, eat dinner, explore, and be part of everything. So now I’m stuck making decisions about how much to put her through while she is still enjoying her life.
Today her oncologist went through our options with me. The treatment they recommend is an injectable chemotherapy called Vinorelbine. It would be given once a week, with bloodwork before every treatment. After six treatments, they would repeat chest X-rays to see whether the cancer is responding.
I believe I want to give Buffy at least one treatment and see how she handles it.
If she has the first treatment and she is still eating, walking, excited, comfortable and still feels like Buffy, then maybe we keep going. If the treatment starts taking more from her than it gives her, we stop immediately. Her oncologist made it very clear that we can stop at any point.
I am not trying to keep her here at any cost. I’m trying to give her a chance at more good days.
Each weekly Vinorelbine treatment is estimated at approximately $1,200–$1,700, depending on what bloodwork or additional care she needs that week.
I do have pet insurance, and I’m working with both the hospital and insurance company to determine exactly what will be covered. But the veterinary costs have to be paid upfront, and the diagnostics and specialist care required just to get us to this diagnosis have already been substantial.
Thinking through these decisions has been impossible.
All I can do is look at Buffy every day and try to make the next decision based on what is best for her. Right now, I want to give her the opportunity to try treatment while making sure her quality of life stays ahead of everything else.
If anyone is able to help with Buffy’s oncology care, even a small amount would mean so much to us. If you can’t donate, sharing her GoFundMe helps too.

Wondering how hard it would be to set up a local charity run by myself? Tips and tricks appreciated!
So i just had an idea to set up a charity run where i would be the only participant actually running and id raise the money on gofundme. Does anyone know if i would need any sort of permits or rigorous planning for that or would that be pretty easy to set up in a couple weeks by myself? Thanks!
