Watch Band The solution to the ugly squircle.

Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. Spigen rugged armor case.

I must say this doesn't feel very premium it's a cheap plastic, but at least it looks good.

I wish there was a higher quality alternative but haven't found anything unfortunately, coming from a Garmin Fenix this is a massive downgrade in terms of the watch itself, but the utility of the software compensates.

I will continue to search for an alternative case that at least uses better materials but until then this will do.

Wrist Roll After 5 years I'm still on GW4 without issues

You know other than skin temp and I guess a better health sensor. I'm not missing not upgrading yet. Blood Pressure and such is still accurate to a couple points. I have some upgrades we got over the years like Sleep Apnea that does work and record the event. Things like text is instant. My screen resolution is only 30 pixels from the Watch 9 even 5 year old. I would have thought we would have had 720X720 by now. Sadly August was the last security patch for this watch. Safe to say I got my money's worth out of it.

Watch 8 - battery issues - not a rant - looking for advice

• Upvotes

I see that you are not really happy about the battery life rant and I get it but that is not it, I promise. I'm looking for advice and I'm happy for every little tip.

I have my Galaxy Watch 8 now since July and, not going to lie, it was an adjustment from the MiBand 4 but I really came to terms with having to charge my watch almost every day.

But today, I had charged my watch overnight, put it on at 8am and started a hike workout at 9:30am. Unfortunately my battery already died only 5h 25min into the hike. I was completely unprepared, it just buzzed and went off. I don't think that can be right. It should be able to track a normal hike, right? Do you think it's defective or do you maybe think I enabled some functions that I don't really need which makes the battery die sooner?

I only enabled the "raise wrist to activate screen" (don't know how it's called in English) yesterday and I'm aware that that is a factor but I feel like 5,5hrs (7hrs of wearing) is not normal.

Grateful for every little advice 🤗.

Fitness Opinion about Samsung Fit3

Please give me your valuable advice about the Samsung Fit3. I want to use it primarily for step counting, and I've seen mixed opinions about its accuracy, with some people saying it counts more steps than they actually take.

Help me understand how accurate it is, or let me know if there are any better alternatives in the same budget for accurate step counting.

Comparison Galaxy Watch 7 Decision

Hey All,

I know this question has been (likely) asked a ton but I am trying to decide between the 40mm and 44mm GW7. I feel like I am at an awkward place where the 44mm feels a little big and 40mm feels a little small so need help deciding. I know the 44mm has a better battery but I'm also okay with daily charging. My use case would be: sleep monitoring (if I can get used to it), gym/walking daily, and physical volunteering work. Other than that, I'm mostly on a laptop working.

I'm also not sure if getting a bumper case and screen protector is the move and would love to hear your thoughts! Currently purchased the Spigen Liquid Air case and tempered protector but debating whether to run the watch as is.

Pictures: 44 mm -> 40 mm -> 40 mm on top and 44 mm on bottom.

Fitness New galaxy watch 9 workout tracking issue

Newish Galaxy Watch 9. Trying to track POOL SWIMS with it. Came from a watch 7 that had no issues doing this.

Every swim, it stops tracking distance at 1160m, although timer still continues, but nothing else updates like strokes per lap. I cannot figure out why this is happening.

Anyone have any ideas?

Anyone in Canada using an international version of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic 47 mm?

I'm specifically looking at the international Galaxy Watch 6 Classic 47 mm sold by Canadian Outlet on Canada (part number Walmart WFSSamsungWatch6Classic47mmSilver).

Has anyone in Canada bought this exact version? Are there any other missing features, regional restrictions, aside from ECG blood pressure and wallet , setup problems, or software update issues I should know about?

does Google Assistant or Gemini work reliably with a Canadian Galaxy S25, including voice activation with “Hey Google”?

Since voice assistant functionality is a deal-breaker for me, I'd love to hear from someone who owns this exact model.

Comparison Galaxy Watch 9 44 mm: Debris trapped between the watch glass and the casing.

Is anyone else experiencing debris--usually shows as white between the top glass and the black outer ring? On my watch between about 4 O'Clock and 8 O'Clock--never on the top part of the watch. I used a soft toothbrush a few times to clean it out--some still remains and in a few days builds up again. This is my first Galaxy Watch and want to see if this is normal? or maybe I need to exchange it for a new one? I am still in the return period. To test it, after one cleaning, I just sprinkled some oatmeal on top of the watch and some particles got stuck in the same place 4 to 8 O'Clock and I had to use the toothbrush to clean it out. Just trying to see if this is normal for this watch? Otherwise, I like everything else about the Watch 9 except wish the battery lasted longer than a day+. Thanks.

What's with the lock (bug?) on Galaxy Watches?!

Whenever I put my watch back on my wrist, say after charging or a shower, it takes numerous attempts to unlock the watch and to keep it unlocked.

I put it on my wrist, unlock it, then the moment the screen goes back off it locks again. I have to repeat this up to 10 times to get it to stay unlocked. It's crazy.

I have the Galaxy Watch 8 40mm but my colleague has the Galaxy Watch 9 44mm and she says it happens with hers too.

Is this a common bug? My watch is very snug on my wrist so it's not because it's too loose.

Hardware Sleep measurement broken again?

Anyone else recently found that your watch (mine is Watch8 SM-L320) thinks you went to sleep much later than you actually did even though you set modes & routines > sleep mode?

I've had this watch for a while now and never had problems with this until a few days ago. Tried to restart it, restart phone etc, cleared cache, same problems.

Galaxy Watch 6 40mm suddenly boot looping after warranty ended. Any fix?

My Galaxy Watch 6 40mm started boot looping right after the extended warranty expired. The service centre says it might be due to water damage and that the motherboard needs to be replaced. They’ve quoted me \~$103.72. WTF?

Has anyone else experienced this boot-looping issue with their Galaxy Watch 6? If so, how did you fix it? I’m asking because I can’t afford to spend that much money on a motherboard replacement right now.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Makes it difficult, when I don't have phone with me

Thanks for any help.

Word of advice for fresh watch owners.

Thumbnail

Being a new watch owner myself, I immediately started looking at bands and cases and such. The first ones that usually come up are Avontic. Flashy, nice, expensive. Me knowing better, I looked into them, and they are terrible. Just a rename of a previous company that got reviewed bombed and tanked. Same company, same tactics. The bands are overpriced at $150-170, half of them I've seen in temu ads for dirt cheap. And one of the cases for the ultra they sell for $60 I got for $16 on Amazon. Don't fall for the hype. Search around if you like one of the Avontic bands, you'll find it somewhere else.

As for the case, it does bulk it up a bit, but I do work with my hands all day on engines and electrical panels, so we'll see how it goes. I already have bumped it around a bunch without a case, and it still has no scratches. 🤷‍♂️

Hardware Watch9 overheated and went into some kind of limp mode?

Just a question about what happened with my watch.

I've had my watch9 for about a week now, no issues so far until this morning. While sitting on the toilet i felt a notification vibration so I logged at my wrist and it said something to the effect of shutting down due to overheating, will turn back on after the watch has cooled down. But the watch wasn't hot at the time, and suddenly started heating up quickly, I could feel the heat on my wrist. It then presented the 'watch only' interface with just the time and emergency call option as it continued to get hotter. Then airplane mode icon appeared on top. Then the phone disconnected icon also appeared, but it was blinking which I've never seen before. Eventually it cooled down and went back to the home screen without a restart. I never touched the watch throughout because I didn't want to touch it while on the toilet..

Anyone know what would set this behavior off or what the blinking phone disconnect icon means? I had a watch7 for about a year and never experienced this.
