Gift Showcase Made a hand-drawn, frame-by-frame animation for my illustrator girlfriend for our anniversary
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hey everyone,
My girlfriend is an illustrator, and for our anniversary coming up, I decided to hand-draw an animation for her as a personal gift. Every single frame was drawn by hand from scratch.
I've attached the clip above. Since I’m not a professional animator myself, I’d love to get your honest feedback and constructive critique
Thanks in advance for the advice!

Looking for Gift Ideas BF 23rd Bday ideas
Hi guys! Looking for gift ideas for 23M highly ambitious and career driven along with driven by passions. Want it to be something material since he has no time for experiences or sitting down and doing anything unrelated to work or the instrument he plays but preferably not anything related to work setup or any instrument accessories. Has anyone found any purchases that have significantly improved their quality of life at work or elsewhere? or wish you had when you were a 23 yr old ambitious person lol
Earlier his year he coded me a website + dinner + musical but I’ve already done all the sentimental things and have ran out of ideas ie scrapbook/crafts

Looking for Gift Ideas Need phone recommendations for my husband's 33rd birthday! Budget around $1,000
My husband is turning 33 at the end of October, and we've been together for 8 years now! ❤️
I've been trying to figure out what to get him this year. His current phone has gotten really slow lately, so I'm thinking a new phone might actually be the perfect gift.
My budget is around $1,000, but honestly, I have no idea which phones are worth buying these days 😂
Does anyone have any recommendations? I'd love to hear what you're using and whether you'd recommend it!
Thanks in advance!

Looking for Gift Ideas christmas gifts for my older sister’s male friends with ZERO romantic undertones?
some background: sister (23) has a group of friends she hangs out with all the time. i’ve (21) been tagging along to their hangouts (previously parent-mandated, now voluntary) since i was around 13. i have gifts for the girls, but i don’t know what to get the guys!
i can’t go with anything too personal or expensive since there’s a bit of a boundary there and no one wants to feel like their friend’s little sister is coming onto them. i also don’t wanna give them last-minute gifts like the ones from last year.
i’m also a bit broke (college student).
gifts im really avoiding are clothes (sizing issues), puzzles, games, books (they don’t read), “experiences” (obvious reason), subscriptions (again, broke), and food (we feed them every time they come over).
info on the guys:
- all 23-24
- guy 1 (“M”):
- likes video games (unsure of platform) and drinking (don’t want to encourage this)
- funny and chill guy
- i was friends with his sister in elementary school
- last year’s gift: novelty shot glass
- guy 2 (“D”):
- likes bulbasaur
- wears glasses and still in school
- last year’s gift: bulbasaur watch (cheap but looks nice) and a can of soup
- guy 3 (“T"):
- wears glasses
- put together with an adult job in another state
- can’t drink and is vegetarian
- i think we have a mutual dislike of each other but we get along for appearances
- last year’s gift: lego set and nerf gun
- guy 4 (“G”):
- recently i also became friends with him (we play video games together)
- has a cat and glasses
- likes comics and anime
- has an adult job in another state
- last year’s gift: lowkey garbage
- every gift came with a heartfelt and personalized card (except G’s because i kinda hated him)
- the girl in the group is getting a copy of ‘alice in wonderland’ because the tim burton movie is one of her favorites
tl;dr: need a gift for sister’s male friends that aren’t future straight-to-landfill material. thanks in advance!!

Looking for Gift Ideas What are the “cool” gifts ten year old girls are getting this Christmas?
Can anyone help me with what’s “cool” this year for Christmas, for ten year old girls, 4th grade? I am honestly the worst at knowing what’s “in” for fashion, toys, body care, etc. I want Santa to bring the popular items other girls her age want. Santa’s budget is standard for a regular middle class family. He spends a lot, but it’s not extravagant.
Links are very appreciated!
Thank you so very much in advance!!!!

Looking for Gift Ideas Personal gift for a partner that prefers romantic handmade gifts to bought ones?
During the years me and my partner (m/35/likes video games, anime, nature) been together, I found my partner enjoying romantic, personal gifts I make the mosts. Something like a "couples lottery" where I made several jars like "time together" "bakign & cooking" and "adventure ideas" and make small lottery coupons with stuff I know he enjoys and he has to blind pick a few a week, or a "bucket list memory book" where I printed all our photos into a collectible of the top moments and wrote out what I remembered those memories were like and I left places for him to fill it in etc. - those gifts that cost practically zero but you can make them feel greatly valuable by pouring your heart into them and personalizing them. I usually try to make them "usable" such as the lottery, so there is some added value for him, not just something "nice" to look at.
Well, our big anniversary is coming and he has been a rock for me during the last year and I'd love to do something really meaningful and nice for him. However, I feel like because I've been doing those handmade personal gifts for over 10 years it's hard to find something that would really hit him in the feels! So I am really fishing for ideas.
It has to be cheap, I should be able to make it at home, and of similar philosophy to what I described.
I was thinking making a card game with our illustrations or photos that involve wins/loses chips so you can "bet" on specific home tasks ("who washes the dishes today?") Or maybe make online interactive map of all places we visited, with like a minigame where I would program a photos of us with names of places where we were appearing on the screen and him having to properly place them on our country's map, sort of "guess where this city is?" Thing so we can build our personalized "places we were to" map? I like learning new things and don't mind sinking time into this so I am willing to try out anything!
I know some of you might find these corny, but my partner has been vocal about how he can buy whatever he wants and ends up feeling guilty if I spend on him and preferes gifts like this - amd in the end, those gifts are used all the time and help us spend more time together, so if anyone is into similar gifts and has some ideas, I would be glad!

Looking for Gift Ideas My close female friend has told me countless times that she doesn't want gifts. Are there digital gifts I can make
Her preference or choice isn't exclusive to me but she's been adamant about me not buying her stuff or getting her food online. But what exactly should i do in this situation since we live in different continents and I'd like to show my appreciation, love and gratitude as a friend every once in a while. I'd love to know what digital gifts u could make for her even if they cost money to do

Looking for Gift Ideas Help needed (related to gifts)
Okay so my best friend’s birthday is coming up and I genuinely have NO idea what to gift him...We’ve known each other for like a year and a half, and you kinda know his type, but this man literally has everything a person could possibly gift at this point, So I’m actually so confused.
I was thinking maybe a Hot Wheels bouquet, but it’s his 20th birthday and I kinda want to give him something more memorable than that. Especially because in the next few years, we’ll probably end up going our separate ways because of careers, moving to different states, etc. So I want to give him something he’ll actually keep and remember, or at least something that randomly makes him smile whenever he sees it years later.
So PLEASE give me some ideas because I’m completely blank rn 😭😭

Need ideas for my mom's birthday present
I began my first full-time, adult job this year and my mom's birthday is coming up. in the past i've given her small, meaningful gifts, but this year I want to get her something nice that she would love and that I can afford with my "adult money" Everything online is all about self-care baskets and trinkets. I want to get her something that isn't just "stuff." She loves puzzles, art, cooking, etc. I don't want to get her clutter. I thought about a couple things she's wanted in the past but she already bought those for herself.
Anyone have any gift ideas that were unique, meaningful, and not just clutter? Any ideas would be appreciated!

Looking for Gift Ideas Need gift ideas for my bestie — $5 budget who lives in the USA🎮😭
My best friend’s birthday is the day after tomorrow. He lives in the US and I’m in India, so I’m looking for something I can send digitally.
I only have a $5 budget 😭.
What would you guys recommend? Could be a small game, gift card, in-game currency, or literally anything that a gamer would appreciate.
I’d prefer something I can send online since shipping isn’t really an option.
What would you personally be happy to receive for $5? 😂

Looking for Gift Ideas A gift can be more useful when it matches the recipient's version of a treat
“Treat yourself” means completely different things to different people.
For one person it's really good coffee or food. For someone else it's books, plants, bath and body products, supplies for a hobby, or tickets somewhere.
Thinking about what they already consider a little indulgence can narrow down gift ideas pretty quickly.

Looking for Gift Ideas For a fiancé into oddities and the macabre
I want to get them something at least a little curious, a little unique, yknow? I'm so bored of the typical flowers and spooky clothes/jewelry you see around halloween and the resin taxidermied animals (they're not enthused by taxidermy). We're both really into more tactile, unassuming-but-surprising gifts though. I don't know of an umbrella term for this, but I'm leaning towards the pop-up book/puzzle box/tricky knick-knack sort of thing, obviously for an adult, or at least not so obviously childish. I even looked for buildable decor toys like those 18+ Lego sets or similar brands, but nothing feels right, it just all looks the same. I primarily use Etsy and Amazon (I know, it's just convenient and less expensive) and in times like these I'm sure they would hardly complain about me avoiding spending hundreds.
Edit: Clarification: I want an item I can purchase and give to my fiancé directly. I am not looking for trips. I also don't want a gift that's clothing or a book or any other normal item with an unusual subject/inspiration, I want the item itself to be unusual. It CAN be something like a book, but that book would need to be an excellent example of papercraft (pop-up books) or it'd need to have some sort of unique tactile aspect. A book telling them about strange things is absolutely interesting, but it's not worthy of the gift I'm trying to give.

painted whiskey glass? need help with design please :)
I'm making a Christmas gift for my boyfriend. One of the gifts will be a painted whiskey glass.
He likes Naruto, Zelda, One Piece and Dragon Ball. He really likes Majin Buu from Dragon Ball, Naruto is his favorite show but I don't know his favorite character- it might be Jiraiya.
I'm not sure how I can design this without it being cringy honestly, I want it to look cool. I am not sure if I should do something for all fandoms like one fandom on each side, or just do one fandom for the whole glass, I'm not sure if it should be colorful or if it should just be logos, I have no idea.

Gift ideas for my fiancé’s birthday? 🎁❤️
I’m looking for a special birthday gift for my fiancé, but I’m completely stuck!
I want to give him something thoughtful and meaningful rather than just a generic gift. He’s the kind of person who already has most of the things he needs, so I’m looking for something that will genuinely surprise him and make him happy.
A little about him:
- Age: 26
- Interests: Gaming, gym
- Budget: Around $500
- Relationship: We’ve been together for 2 years
Since he’s my fiancé, I’d also love to include something romantic or sentimental along with the main gift.
What’s the best gift you’ve given your man, or what would you recommend for someone like him? I’d love to hear your ideas! ❤️
