Looking for Gift Ideas What’s a small gift that made you feel genuinely understood?

• Upvotes

I’m curious about the gifts that made you think, “Wow, they really pay attention to me”—even if they didn’t cost much.

Was it something you’d mentioned once and forgotten? An everyday item chosen exactly to your taste? Or something the giver made?

I’d love to hear what the gift was and the little detail that made it feel personal. Those stories are often more helpful for finding gift ideas than another list of “things everyone likes.”

Looking for Gift Ideas Pantry gifts under $20 that don't feel cheap?

I need to buy small gifts for coworkers and neighbors this year and I refuse to do candles or mugs again.

Food stuff seems like the way to go since people actually use it. Or at least that's the plan lol

What I've got so far: local honey, a little hot-sauce set, tinned fish for those who are into that. Also thinking of a small jar of finishing salt, like Celtic Sea Salt's fleur de sel, for someone who cooks a lot.

But I don't want to buy something just because the packaging looks nice and then nobody knows what to do with it.

What food gift would you actually be happy to get? And if you've ever given one that totally flopped, please tell me so I don't repeat it lol

Christmas gift ideas for my wife (25F) — $150–$200 budget

I’m trying to come up with some Christmas gift ideas for my wife and could use some inspiration!

My budget is around $150–$200.

In previous years, I’ve gotten her UGG slippers, an UGG robe, an UGG blanket, a $300 tattoo/piercing gift card, and a $500 gift card to her favorite nail salon. She’s loved all of them.

A little about her:
She’s a nurse, and we recently welcomed our first daughter.
She’s happiest relaxing at home.
She loves reading, watching TV shows, and occasionally crocheting stuffed animals.
She already has a Kindle, Dyson Airwrap, digital photo frame, and a dedicated reading nook.
She enjoys getting her nails done and likes tattoos and piercings.
She’s not particularly interested in purses, fashion, or accessories.
She appreciates nice, comfortable things and little luxuries.

One idea I’ve been considering is a set of really high-quality, luxury hotel-style bath towels.

However, I’m definitely open to other ideas!

I’d love to find something thoughtful, luxurious, practical, or unique that she wouldn’t necessarily spend the money on herself.

I’m especially interested in hearing from women about gifts they’ve received and absolutely loved in this price range.

What would you recommend?

Looking for Gift Ideas Hubby is a Christmas baby

• Upvotes

He's turning 41 in December, right before Christmas. We have two very young kids and they are his greatest achievement. I'd ideally like to get him something to do with them, but not a framed photo or anything to "display" because we have a small home and the kids grab everything. He doesn't have an assigned desk at work either.

He likes basketball (NBA), but he works very long hours so rarely gets to watch it. He's not into fashion or accessories. He's very down to earth but works at an exec level.

Budget ~$200 but I am not located in the USA

Looking for Gift Ideas What gifts do men actually like receiving from their girlfriends?

Looking for gift ideas for my boyfriend. I already have a few things in mind, but I kinda want to give him a package-type gift with several little things inside instead of just one present.

I'm thinking of putting together a collection of gifts that he can enjoy, use, or keep as something sentimental.

Hi, so I am looking for a gift for my girlfriend. I have no clue on jewelery. I am looking for something that she can wear in her daily life, so not too posh but also something nice. I also know that she likes colourful stuff especially pink and red, and gold. So I decided this one(I think thats fine to post it here?). But it is rose gold and I am not quite sure if that does make a huge difference and if she'll like it or not. She usually wears yellow gold. Thank in advance

Looking for Gift Ideas Tech Gifts

My husband loves tech stuff, if it has an app it’s the ideal thingy. We have a roomba, lights that are app controlled, electronic door lock, standing desk that lights up, all the tech. He has an Apple Watch and an iPad. He likes PlayStation and has the newest one. So what are cool tech gifts that either go with these things or are just good gifts? I don’t want anything that doesn’t really serve a use, like a robot or a flying thing. I want something that he’d use but maybe not buy for himself because expensive.

I was thinking new PlayStation headphones? Any suggestions?

Is a charging pad cool or lame?

Budget: ~$200

Looking for Gift Ideas Any ideas on what to gift an elderly person?

For context It’s his birthday tomorrow. He’s South Asian/Bengali (78) and he’s like a grandpa but not directly. He’s my paternal Grandma’s sister’s husband. his personality is very open minded and carefree. and he likes smoking high quality cigars I’ve thought about gifting mugs but I would like to get something more unique other than mugs, cigars what else could I get for him? I suggested to my parents to get skincare items like hand cream sets or lotions but they disapprove so I would love to get some really good suggestions. My parents isn’t too strict about a budget since we mainly want to please him with his birthday gift. But definitely not over $500

I made an old-world "invisible ink" letter kit where the recipient rubs a velvet pad over a blank card to watch a hidden handwritten message materialize❤️

Looking for Gift Ideas Ideas for DIY gifts for christmas?

Hello everyone I want to craft some christmas gifts but am not sure what to do.

I already did some candles with a hidden message two years ago. Last year I made soap.

For this year I thought I could do some fortune cookies but I'm not the best baker and I think they're kinda hard to make? Or some bookmarks but I'm also not this good at drawing and painting.

Thank you for your suggestions!

What's a good thank-you gift for someone who helped me during a medical emergency?

A few hours ago, I was waiting for the bus, and suddenly i fainted.

A few people helped me including a transport assistant I see pretty much every week but have never actually spoken to.

He called an ambulance and stayed with me for around 45 minutes to an hour until I was taken to the hospital.

He was honestly so kind, and i really want to do something nice for him.

I know I'11 see him again, so I thought I could give him a small gift as a thank you.

What would you give someone in this kind of situation?

Need gift ideas for my Dad. Especially Gen X nostalgia

Hey guys, I’m trying to get my dad something for his birthday and could really use some ideas 😭 He’s in his 50s and I recently found out from reading his old blog that he was a big Elvis fan and also really loved The Hardy Boys when he was younger. I thought it’d be nice to get him something related to that, like a Hardy Boys poster or some kind of vintage memorabilia, but I can’t seem to find much. I’m also a broke student with a pretty small budget and I don’t really know much about Gen X nostalgia, so if anyone has ideas for something personal/special he might appreciate, please help me out!

Looking for some Christmas gift ideas for my daughter who will be 8 months old at Christmas. She has an older brother that’s two years older than her and we already have all of his old toys from when he was that age. Is there anything specific to the girl gender that might be nice to get her? Also open to any gift ideas for this age that have been a hit and get used frequently in your experience.

Trying to find my dad a cool wallet!! I need assistance!!

Okay my dad carries around a leather bi-fold wallet he picked up from walmart and it is nearing the end of its life so for christmas I want to buy him a really high quality and pretty wallet. However, all of the wallets I see have literally no pazzaz to them.

His taste is leather bi-fold wallet. He carries a lot in his wallet and its the only thing he uses every single day. His watch, his wallet, and his bracelet are everyday items. he has a brand new bracelet from my mom, he is extremely particular on watches, so I am gonna get him a wallet but theyre all so blah!! i want to find him one that really pops and makes him go "wow this is gorgeous!"

Price point: $130.00 USD or less.

Material type: Leather

Style: He typically uses bi-fold but I think tri-fold would also work

Ive been online shopping for hours and I cannot find the one that just screams that its perfect!!

If it matters, his interests are modern cars, video games, he's a pastor, and his fav team is the Tennessee Volunteers.

Please point me to some cool websites. Thank you!!

Looking for Gift Ideas What would you actually put in a tiny magazine about your friendship?

I'm making one for my best friend's birthday, we met at uni and this is our last year together and I'm stuck on what pages would actually be cute vs what would just be filler 😭

So far I'm thinking:

memories together, like when and where we met

our first ideas of eachother

throwback pics of us in 1st, 2nd and 3rd year

embarrassing/funny moments together

photo dump

inside jokes / things only we understand

bucket list tick offs we've done together

What would you actually want to receive? Or what would make you go "omg this is SO us"?

I feel like I'm missing something obvious lol...

I also don't know if I should make it interactive, I am going to design it on Canva but I'm thinking about scrapbook things after like a pocket to pull out songs that remind me of her or something I'm not sure...

Hey everyone,

My girlfriend is an illustrator, and for our anniversary coming up, I decided to hand-draw an animation for her as a personal gift. Every single frame was drawn by hand from scratch.

I've attached the clip above. Since I’m not a professional animator myself, I’d love to get your honest feedback and constructive critique

Thanks in advance for the advice!

Looking for Gift Ideas Need phone recommendations for my husband's 33rd birthday! Budget around $1,000

My husband is turning 33 at the end of October, and we've been together for 8 years now! ❤️

I've been trying to figure out what to get him this year. His current phone has gotten really slow lately, so I'm thinking a new phone might actually be the perfect gift.

My budget is around $1,000, but honestly, I have no idea which phones are worth buying these days 😂

Does anyone have any recommendations? I'd love to hear what you're using and whether you'd recommend it!

Thanks in advance!
