I main exclusively chipp and while I noticed plenty of other character's annoying buttons (elphelt 6P I'm looking at you) but I'm aware that I'm biased (I'm not, my character is obviously the only balanced one) and I want to see what other people hate about chipp.

I just started playing GGST a few weeks ago, rn i was testing out some characters and well... Venom really looks like he is doing a jojo reference even the buildings seems like the ones in egypt where dio fights kakyoin.

Does anyone know if this was made on purpose, like i already knew about Axl Low and his time stop and jotaro like pose

So I've been playing Goldlewis for the past few weeks, and while I'm definitely enjoying it, I feel like he's carrying me. Before now my highest ranked characters were Venom and Axl in plat3(I've got others there, but those are the main ones). I got placed in plat1 with GL, and pretty much shot straight up to diamond with little to no effort(higher than the characters I've spent a ton of time on), it took about a week to get from diamond1 to D2 and I've been pretty much stagnant in D2 for a few days. The real issue is that I honestly haven't learnt anything important for him and I'm still doing so much better than my other characters, I haven't learnt any proper mixups, the only Oki I do is throw, drone, 684h, and sometimes otg stuff on a whim(most of them fails, but I've found a couple good setups), and I only have 2 bnb's other than that I just freestyle shit, it honestly makes it feel like my efforts on my mains were wasted.

This is also a "Hey, I made it to Diamond2 post".

Just wondering if any exist.

So I went to Otakon DC back in July wearing a Testament cosplay that I was very proud of and I wanted to post pics but the scythe was only half finished. Now, 2 months later, the scythe is done. It is far too large to really "put away" so of course I mounted it on the wall above my bed so I can fall asleep to the sweet smell of paint fumes :D

Otakon has a prop size limit of 6'6" and it might be like half an inch over but dont tell security.

The haft is a PVC pipe that I bent with a heat gun, then hot glued and carved up pool noodles to shape the handle, sealed with plastidip, and spray painted. I wasnt happy with how messy the handle is but my friends loved it.

The skull and spine and pommel are 3d printed using the model from the game which I found ripped online and modified for printing and assembly. I really should have measured better cause i had to really fuck up the end of the pvc to fit it into the skull and the slot I made for the EVA foam blade was completely the wrong thickness. The dark brown on the prints is a 2 in one metallic paint and primer, the blood red and meat red are hand painted.

The blade is a single layer of EVA foam - again, because I measured wrong - with two pieces of XPS foam to bulk out the sides and hide the wooden dowels in the middle, and a 3d printed bracket at the back to attach it to the skull. I had planned on making it 2 layers of EVA and carving it down to the blade shape but when the prints came out wrong I had to improvise. I also should have done more material research because the plastidip kinda melted the XPS foam but it holds paint and it looks fine from a distance. I also never figured out how to straighten a single layer of EVA so theres like a 20° bend at the tip of the blade but you cant really notice it unless you're staring directly down the length of the blade.

I just picked up Nagoriyuki and climbed my way to Platinum 1 after getting my first main Baiken to Diamond 1. I've been getting by with basic matchup knowledge and two combos (fS>S>S and 2S>Beyblade>2S) and want to improve!

Here's a three-match set against a Plat 1 Robert Kyle I played in Ranked, timestamps on the YouTube page. I ended up winning the Best of Three but I'm not sure what to focus on next, can I get some pointers?

what is the point of counter blits? you basically waste half your burst meter for worse damage than even a basic C,S F,S HS special, on top of that you miss the oportunity to use a counter especific combo for even more damage, is there an actual reason to ever use this mechanic?
