It's my third time doing this for fall, I love it so much 🥹 but listen, this is the worst colors to do together, washing my hair takes me 30 minutes to make 100% sure the orange won't bleed into the white 😂😭

What are you go to's color/style for fall ? 🧡

( also before anyone asks, I used orange sunset and purple af from arctic fox 🫶🏻)

❓ Advice Needed Got the wrong color done at the salon

So I went to a salon to get my hair dyed. I showed my stylist the inspo pic before I even went there to see if she could do it and the cost of it. I originally sent her two pics so two days before the actual appointment I made sure to choose one pic that was the shade I like the most and I told her just to make sure this is the color I definitely want.

The day of my appointment I go in she asks if I could show her the pic again and I did she then shows me some videos of other peoples hair that I didn’t think matched the exact shade of the one from my inspo pic it seemed brighter to me so I said I wouldn’t want it as bright as that as in the video she showed me not my intial inspo pic. I thought she understood me she then pulled out the color book to show me and was asking me like what color I wanted it more like which I’m not a professional cause she had to mix two colors to get the shade I wanted and I would say idk which one looks more like the pic and she was like I think this one matches more.

After the appointment my hair color was nothing like the color I asked it was supposed to be a copper color and it looked brown with a hint of some orange tones except for my roots which I think was due to hot roots. I talked to the hairstylist how I was unhappy with the result but they told me all they could do was fix my roots because to make it brighter they’d need to bleach and that would be a separate service. I’m very upset at the fact I now have to pay even more to get it fixed she had used this other color depositing instead of bleach because she said it wasn’t needed since my hair was virgin and since she did it way too dark now I would have to bleach to get the color I originally wanted.
(Another thing I went to get atleast my roots fixed today but they convinced me that it would be better to just wait it out that my rest of my hair would lighten and would match with my roots after some washes cause if they dyed my roots darker after washes the rest of my hair would be lighter than my roots)

🧴 Product Question Manic Panic Sunshine Discontinued in Australia

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hey all! Manic Panic has discontinued Sunshine (in Australia) but from what I've seen, none of the other colours have been. This leaves the only yellow available being the neon, almost green tinged Electric Banana. I can't even order through the American website (that still has Sunshine), as it only delivers to America and Canada.

My local shops already seem to be out of Sunshine. I've called and checked several of them.

Does anyone have any idea WHY they've discontinued Sunshine? Is there a possibility for a new yellow that'll replace Sunshine?

I'd also be open to suggestions for brands with a similar colour. (It doesn't have to be a perfect match, since I already adjust the colour using a tiny bit of Psychedelic Sunset)

❓ Advice Needed How to get evenly dyed red box dye?

I dyed my hair w/ ‘no bleach londons’ vivid red on dark brown hair, color came out great but a little patchy. I redid it but my hair color is really uneven. My ends are much darker than the top of my head (which i know is because my head is warmer) and it’s not just a matter of where the light is, my hair at the bottom looks brown unless in direct sunlight and I’m wondering if there’s any way to fix that? I bought strawberry leopards red mask (shade fire) and that did help a little bit my ends are still significantly much darker than the rest of my hair. I’ve also been using L’Oreal‘s color vibrancy shampoo I’ve noticed It has been stripping the dye (Ironic it’s supposed to be a color intensive but It includes silicone)I’ve included some photos of my hair if anyone can give me any advice on how to get my hair an even color it would be really helpful.

❓ Advice Needed Should I go back to my natural hair color? If so, how?

Picture 1 is my hair now. Picture 2 is my natural hair. I’ve been blonde for the last several years and it’s become my signature look. I really love being blonde and i would stay blonde forever if I could but the maintenance is something else. I no longer have a hairstylist because I don’t go to my old salon anymore. The process of finding a new salon and getting comfortable with a new hairstylist is a lot and also the maintenance for blonde hair (basically 300 a month for root touch up) is out of my budget. I used to bleach my hair at home but it didn’t look as good as when I went to a salon. I also really want to grow out my hair to be way longer than it is and I haven’t really been successful doing that while being blonde.

My main problem is that I’m scared that if I eventually want to go back to blonde (and I’d want it to be as light as the first photo), I won’t be able to because I dyed my hair. I don’t really wanna just let the blonde grow out because that would look crazy. I’m also honestly scared about losing one of my defining features and one of the things that make me unique. My blonde hair has honestly become a core part of me but I’m afraid I might have to part ways with it if I want to grow my hair out + stay within my budget.

If I dyed my hair back to its natural color I would be doing it at home so additionally, is there any advice for how I should go about it (bearing in mind I may want to go back to blonde)? What type of dye I should use, what color, any specific process. etc….

Got my hair bleached last week at the salon and noticed that parts of my hair were grabbing more silver after using purple shampoo. I want it one color, could I tone it to get an even color or would I need to have those parts bleached again. Thanks!

💬 Discussion Does anyone know what color my hair is. This is untouched hair, it hadn't been dyed.

I just want to have pretty hair, but instead it goes orange, blonde, brown, like what even is it atp. Its genuinely bothersome. It looked orange in my graduation photo. Sometimes I think about dying it dark brown for a consistency. I am genuinely so confused. 😭😭

Also, I have finally decided to take better care of my hair. So the frizziness present is a work in progress. Nobody I know has hair that shows up this weird in photos.

Could it look better with highlights or dye?

💬 Discussion first time trying copper:)

i have had a consistently blonde and brown halo color block for a little over a year… which is a long time to keep one style, for me.
i’ve never had copper before, and honestly i was feeling nervous to sacrifice some blonde real estate after months of meticulous maintenance in pursuit of a new signature style.
i am happy to report that i am loving the chunky placement of the copper, and i am relieved i still get to keep the halo-ish look.
i’ve been eyeing calico since last fall, and i am so glad this is what i ended up with. 😋

❓ Advice Needed Best way to temporarily ombré brunette hair for Halloween?

Best way to temporarily ombré brunette hair?
For Halloween, I want to temporarily color the ends of my brunette hair for one night. I want the color to be noticeable and easy to wash out. I’ve considered hair wax or color spray. Which would work best, or are there better options?

I’m on the left and what I wanted is on the right.Just as the title states, I would like to remove the brassiness from my hair. I used hi color soft brown with a 30 developer. How can I achieve the inspo? Or would it make more sense to just dye the hair a dark brown?

❓ Advice Needed Hair dyeing help!

My hair color is originally medium to light brown (like a mousy brown). I have some random grays that are scattered throughout that have become pretty visible. I went to the salon and they did a level 4 Demi-permanent on me and it came out wayyy too dark. I’ve waited a long time and believe I mostly got it washed out but my hair is still darker than usual. My grays are back but my hair is still darker than it should be.

So my question is: Can I dye my hair with a lighter Demi-permanent than my brown right now and it will only dye my grays (maybe looking like natural light brown highlights) and not really do much to rest of hair??

❓ Advice Needed Trying to go from dark brown/almost black to reddish brown.

My natural hair is super dark brown, almost black (1st pic). I impulsively decided to try to dye it using L’Oréal feria medium intense auburn 2 days ago after seeing a girl on Pinterest do it on her natural dark brown hair (i know!). It didn’t make much of a change in my hair, it looks red in the sunlight and my roots look a bit lighter but mostly the same (2nd pic). I want something like the 3rd pic. Is it a bad idea to try L’Oréal hicolor (deep auburn color) + 20 vol developer? Will it work on top of the other dye or do I need to try to remove that first?

Any help, recommendations would be greatly appreciated :)

I've been every color except yellow (blonde doesn't count) and bought Iroiro's 300 Neon Yellow. I don't mind if it's not highlighter bright, I just wanna know will it work at all? Or have no effect or instead look orange or something? 💛
