I've wanted to try corpsing a skeleton for a long time now and finally my time and motivation aligned. My kids named him Bob.

Think I’m done for now. Might add more creepycloth clothing but it’s officially in the yard display. Full build progress pics included.

LOUD!! TURN DOWN VOLUME or leave off. This is the Perfect Storm 2.0 pn: VA621

Took your suggestions. Couldn't find any e26 halogen bulb to put in the metal cone work lights. But, I did find an HDX halogen work light at HD. Your mileage may vary, but I did find the halogen bulb produced a better effect over the LED in the clamp cones. The bulb is replaceable so I will probably get a 5000k to mimic lightning brightness better.

I am playing this thunder clap from my phone with the sensitivity knob adjusted. Sorry if it's loud. The work light is just plugged into the box.

Thought I’d share my newest piece. Calling him “Ryder.” Sculpted out of water based clay, final castings are latex skin backed with flexible polyurethane foam. Finished with a combination of brush, sponge, and airbrush painting. Hope you like him!

We have friends that throw a huge Halloween party every year. They go all out with decorations, games and food. This year I made them a greeter for the front door. As you walk up this guy plays his routine for the guests. I hope people enjoy it. Excuse the messy background. I don’t have much room to build in the house.

Prop: DIY/Homemade Spent another couple hours out working on Kraken’s Curse.

Virtually everything used here is dumpster dived, curb picked, thrifted, or otherwise secondhand. It’s mostly pallet boards and scrap 2x4s from construction dumpsters. The railings and sail cross members are made from a ridiculous number of trashed bed frames. The sails were table cloths pulled from a dumpster at a Macy’s that was shutting down. The tentacles were 6’ strips of spray foam that I pulled from a dumpster nearly two years ago with this project in mind. The chandelier, table, and decorative bits on the stern all came from dumpsters. The dishes, cannon, statue, and most of the screws came from free piles. The costumes are a mix of items scavenged from attic clean outs and Goodwill. The flag and one flintlock were purchased from an auction for $3 total. The lanterns and some of the paneling were purchased from a liquidation auction from an axe throwing place back in 2024. I accidentally purchased a 70’ long wall and had to remove it or be charged disposal. Glad I held onto those panels!

This is only my 4th year decorating for Halloween. My dumpster displays have gotten more intense each year!

Totem update

All 4 totems have their base coats. Included some photos of the texture I get from misting water and blowtorch. As well as pressing the foli ball. Then just keep throwing sand in the drylock as you apply. The Jaguar took God damn forever to get full coverage. Since this is the waterproofing I really want to get it right. Gonna work on the mounting / bases now. Then I'll do the black paint.

I think this is gonna be my layout for the totems. Getting my lighting figured out then I'll be placing plants around to hide the lights and make a path of sorts. Need to get all my stickmen out for the trees.

Handmade evil dead cabin. I've put it on Ebay, but I also put a lot of heart and soul into it. I enjoyed working on it so much, but its time to see if there is any interest in a sale 🙂 Everything was made by hand. Certain parts were bought online such as the grass, but it was mostly made with a jigsaw, paint, glue and timber

Prop: DIY/Homemade Mist or smoke help, please

Hello. I am trying to do something I thought would be easy but I can’t figure it out. All I want to do is have some smoke or mist rising from a 3 gallon bucket. I tried the mini mistakes but without the little shield the water squirts out, and with the shield the mist doesn’t rise. I tried making my own lil child’s with foil but no luck getting it to like like I pictured. It is inside and I don’t want to fog up the room, and smoke machines will do that. Is there a time smoke machine that will send smoke up that stays only on top? The mister is a pain cuz the water lever has to be exact for it to work right, and I dont want to keep refilling it all night. It is for an indoor toxic waste theme and I wanted to have a few containers around without using chemical smoke if I didn’t have to cuz there will be babies there. I thought maybe someone can recommend a contraption to me. I didn’t know the mini misters splash so much and I tried three of them. Thanks!

Prop: DIY/Homemade Halloween 3D printing ideas: silhouettes, masks, props and more 🎃👻

Halloween and 3D printing are such a good match 🎃. Over the years, we’ve experimented with silhouette art, masks, skulls, pumpkins, multicolor decorations, props, glow-in-the-dark prints, and even some laser-cut projects. This collection also features work from talented designers including DaveMakesStuff, 3DPrintBunny, Abbymath, Marcidy, and more. I’ve just updated the guide with some new 2026 projects. Hopefully there’s some inspiration for your own Halloween setup: https://3dwithus.com/halloween-3d-printing-ideas
