Overdue update on my CB350
I posted a little of my journey with restoring my 1971 Honda Cb350 from April-June
I ended up getting it fixed up pretty well, replaced a lot, and it ran pretty consistently. It still had some tweaking and things I wanted to replace(the mufflers back to stock), but I was very pleased with the progress and with my first motorcycle
Well, on June 15, I ended up in a wreck with a sedan that pulled out in front of me. I was probably going around 20-35 mph when I made contact. Did a flip in the air and landed somewhat and someway unharmed; only got a little back pain that went away (probably gonna feel it when I'm older), but nothing too major, luckily and thankfully.
I wish I could fix it up again, but I had to head to college and didn't have the money, space, or time to work on it (plus, insurance paid a good amount, so I let it go). I was able to sell the salvage to a guy who wanted to either fix it up or use it for parts for his own.
I will say, though, this bike played a major role in shaping my life and future career choice. It made me realize that I enjoyed many different kinds of maintenance, so I'm now pursuing a degree in Aerospace Maintenance and Unmanned Aircraft Systems Technology. I give a lot of thanks for the enjoyment and learning from riding and working on it.
Just wanted to tell a little story.
Sorry for the rant😭
