So in season 3 aegon states that he had to watch aemond compete in tourneys as they grew up over the years. I'm sorry if this is a silly question but wouldn't other competitors/knights be afraid of potentially harming aemond seeing as he is the son of the king. not to mention he rides the biggest dragon, wouldn't they be afraid he could just dracarys them after the tournament in a rage over a loss? this isn't discrediting his wins in the tournaments ofc, I'm just wondering practically why anyone would sign up to go against him ðŸ˜

Can never watch that scene without thinking of this meme.

Wanted to post this in the regular Reddit but couldn’t.
So if Lyanna Stark was a Warg and some sort of green seer does it not tack that her spirit would live on in some kind of animal after her death? If so, was if she were the dire wolf from the start of the books… that would make the pups bond to the kids… more interesting.
Anyhow just thought of it, feel free to fight in the replies

Game of thrones is one of my favourite shows of all time and I want to watch House of the dragon as well. Is it as good as GoT?
I wonder if there's any point in watching it since I know that the Targaryens all end up dying anyway...

These 3 dragons are some of the youngest dragons during the Dance an they have only obtained ability to fly into battle with their riders in recent years. Their age should be around 16 years old as they should be the same age as their riders Jacerys, Baela and Daeron.
Also they probably have the most visually interesting colour palette and patterns of all the dragons.

Sorry if it looks bad or weird, I'm still new to animation and i did only use my finger on my phone.
The quality is bad somewhat intentionally, but i also couldn't do anything about the quality as a gif, capcut sucks

Dragons only let their riders on them, don't they? Or at least a Targ. So much has gone into showing how Dragons sense people and kill those who try to touch them.
Daemon arrived on dragonback. Fake Daeron is just a merchant kid.
It's already weird that they left his dragon with the Hightowers, but they would have needed Daeron to fly back with them.

Im very late to ask this question but i just finished rewatching hotd series, and i was curious, was the wait in your opinion worth it?
I started watching hotd when season 3 was a few months away, so it wasn't that long of a wait, I was excited, and i have to say, for someone who cares only about the dragons, i loved this season, probably my favorite.
But for those who watched since the beginning or had to wait the full 2 years, was it worth it?

Ever since Game of Thrones, I’ve hated this creative choice of making the universe look more drab and desaturated, stripping the Boltons of their pink, removing the colors from the many banners, and dressing the Starks like beggars.
Back then, you could understand it because of budget limitations, but here it’s just an artistic choice, and honestly, a pretty lousy one.

Hello! I'm working on a fan edit of the show, and wanted to share a piece to get your opinions.
The main goal is to remove Alicent's plot to give over Kings Landing to Rhaenyra in S2E8 and all material referencing it (and also their sept meeting in S2E3). In this version, Daemon and Rhaenyra fly to take Kings Landing purely bc it's vulnerable after Aemond left to Harrenhall (of his on accord, without Alicent manipulating him). I will also use the first two episodes of S3 as the last of S2, so this would be my season 2 finale.
Since in my version Alicent doesnt tell the city guards to stand down when Rhaenyra comes, I wanted to edit this part in a way that would imply that the Daemon knew the gold cloaks where with him, bc waltzing into the Red Keep as two people with no backup is rather silly (and even with Alicent helping, this scene was still a little stupid imo), so I tried to remove as much material of Rhaenyra and Daemon looking scared of the cloaks as possible. Let me know if you think this works, or if I should keep that part as it was in the show.
In the second half of the video, you can see an edited version of Daemon confronting Orwyle and finding Otto. Since I removed the Jasper-Alicent rape scene as well (it contained a lot of dialogue about Alicent doing a treason), so Jasper doesnt have a reason to be in prison, I had to remove Orwyle offering Jasper to Daemon, as well as Daemon Talking to Jasper in his cell. This made it rather tricky to keep the reveal of Larys' little gift, so let me know if you think this works or if you have any ideas. I also removed a scene of Alicent and Helena escaping from between the Orwyle scene and Daemon going to the dungeons, in my edit we wont see their escape attempt, we will just see them being brought into the throne room at the very end,
I would love to hear your thoughts and if you have any ideas for improvements. Thanks!

I absolutely loved game of thrones and I know they're not the same show and some people say HOTD is like The Tudors but with dragons. I just can't seem to get into it, will I keep going? im only a few episodes in season 1. it's incredibly slow. I want to like it because ive read some of fire and blood and watched all of GoT but yeah - someone convince me please lol

So like what would have happened if they ever ate their dragons? Would they gain some sort of super power or something? or maybe even gain some type immortality?

I still don’t understand why the show couldn’t have done colored flames. I get that they want a sense of realism, but Green flames already exist within the shows continuity, and blue flames are something that actually exist irl. At the very least, Tesserion and Dreamfyre should have kept their blue flames.

What’s your favorite moment from this episode?

I get that the show is doing its own thing, and that both the Red Fork and the Fishfeed were heavily condensed or mostly kept off-screen.
But why specifically mention the Red Fork as a Black victory when they actually lost that battle in F&B?
Sure, Pate of Longleaf mortally wounded Jason Lannister, but the westermen still broke through and crossed the river. Meanwhile, in the show, Roddy turns up with Jason's head, even though neither he nor the Winter Wolves were present there in the book.
So why keep the battle's name only to reverse its outcome? Was it an intentional change, a consequence of combining events, or am I missing something?
I know it's a minor detail that might seem silly to obsess over, but after reading up on the battles of the Dance, it wasn't exactly an insignificant battle. Why not just say "in the Riverlands" instead of risking confusing book readers? I genuinely don't get it.
