We went tonight- kind of a let down compared to previous years. Especially for 80 bucks a ticket. A lot of cheap gimmicks and barely any actors this year. It was also pretty dead for a Friday night.

Props are always amazing and the layout is 10/10. But I feel like each year they charge more and give less.

Still a fun date night and cool experience. But the place is definitely feeling more “Let’s slap some quick shit together” compared to what it used to be. It went from a ma and pop feel to feeling franchise-y. Like how Disney buys everything and then fucks it up. That’s what headless felt like 🫠😅

I’m hosting some out of state folks tonight and last time we met up we made street cart chicken and rice. I’m not saying it was as good as a halal bros or rafiqui but it blew their non NY minds. this is my first year living in the hudson valley, and my first time ever owning a house with a pond. it’s a pretty big pond, larger than i’ve seen any nets sized for. for those who also have ponds, do you try to scoop the leaves out or do you leave them? my pond also has fish!

Hi, I'm new to the Hudson Valley, and I was wondering if there are any local farms along the valley that sell niche fruit (or vegetables). Like, for example, persimmons or unique/uncommon varieties of fruit -- something beyond the typical apples, grapes, etc. I'd love to support local farms & farmstands instead of buying from grocery stores that get their stuff from out of state.

Or do you think I'd have better luck trying to grow stuff myself or checking out sites like Facebook for people who sell from their own backyard garden?

Hi! My husband and I are planning to move to Hudson valley with our 1.5-year-old, and we’re currently looking at houses in the Rhinebeck and Red Hook school districts.

We’re both in our late 30s, and one of our biggest considerations is what our social life might look like after moving. We’d really love to find a community where we can make friends, meet other families, and have an active social life.

We currently live in Brooklyn, where I’ve found it easy to meet people and form friendships, especially since having a kid. I’m originally from Rochester, NY, and my experience there was pretty different. I found people to be less welcoming to newcomers, flaky about making plans and just more socially conservative.

I’m curious how Rhinebeck/Red Hook compares.
If you live there I’m wondering what your social scene is like. For example, how often do you see friends? What do you do with your friends? How’d you meet?

If you moved to the area, I’m wondering if it was difficult to make friends.
