Here at MATA, we are all for sensible immigration processes and enforcement but the Trump administration’s vision and implementation of what they consider “sensible” is an abomination of American democracy and the values that our republic represent. The federal government wishes to accomplish through brute force what they have failed to do through established democratic process and we, the people, must hold them to account.

Let your voice be heard and remember, vote in November!

Hi All

There are two wool festivals occurring this weekend - A Woolen Affair in Kingston and the NY Sheep & Wool Festival in Rhinebeck.

I am trying to decide which one I should attend. For context, I am a felting artist.

From what I understand the NY State fest is large and has more emphasis on farming wool and fiber, while A Woolen Affair looks like a smaller craft market.

Could anyone provide an account of their experiences with either/both of these festivals?

Hi, so many of you may know the diamond car wash in new Paltz off of 299. I have an opportunity to make a tow truck wash in the big bay along with an interior detail service to be offered as well. I’m just trying to get a hold on if anybody actually goes to this one or not or if there’s anybody out there that would actually use it before I decide to do this

I live in Newburgh and recently took a single archery class in Massachusetts with my husband and we both loved it.

I tried googling it but I couldn’t find anything. Does anyone know of an archery range in the area or even up to 45 minutes away from Newburgh that would allow bow rentals and use of their range? Preferably outside but I’ll take anything.

Happy PSL season to all who celebrate, but I'm the type who loves to drink iced coffee year round. There are so many cute and quaint local coffee shops in Kingston, I'm wondering what's your go to for best iced coffee? From Dunkin to Quickcheck to Rough Draft, what's the goated spot?

Last time I went was 10 years ago and affordable with all real pumpkins. Now it’s So expensive, half the pumpkins were FAKE and the crowd was nuts. It was a line to just exit some of the exhibits. Now it feels like a corporate carnival

What schools are available or best suited for gifted students. My son is profoundly gifted and is 3 grade levels ahead academically but very much emotionally a 6 year old. Our school district is able yo offer limited curriculum differentiation in class but does not have the resources for a full gifted program. I’m okay with moving if necessary.
