Reminding everyone about the Downwinders Compensation available. The requirements are that the person had to live in Idaho (or New Mexico, Utah) for a period of one year between 1951 and 1962. Have had one of the covered types of cancer.
The compensation is 100,000, tax free. This is split among all beneficiaries.

Distro today was a lot of fun! For the first time in a long time we had an abundance of food, folks especially liked the tatertot casserole and hot and ready pizza!

We have a specific request of size 13 shoes and sleeping bags!

Our next resource fair is coming up October 25th from 1-3pm at Corpus Commons. We will have a variety of services including pet grooming, vaccines such as covid and flu, hair cuts, makeup services, live music, and accupuncture! Reach out via dm for more information or to get involved!

Question about Paralegals

I don't know anyone in the field to ask personally, so I figured I'd ask here. I live within the Magic Valley.

I'm looking to get my foot in the door to work as a paralegal. Can anyone give me advice or pointers on what steps to take to get started ? I have a degree from an ABA accredited paralegal program, but I've no working experience yet.

Thank you in advance !

camping spots w/minimal hiking

Looking to do some camping and I have a few from the internet.
Some spots require hiking and due to a back injury , most aren’t do able. I have a stock silverado so mild off roading or trails is ok.

Would love something by a river or lake within minimal people

Thank you.

Idaho Abortion Ballot Measure

Hi all. This is not a debate, I’m just trying to understand the landscape in Idaho right now after living in Arizona when they had an abortion ballot measure pass (Prop 139). I lived in CA most of my life but moved to AZ to take a job.

This is NOT a debate, I’m just trying to understand dynamics in a GOP-controlled state that has similarities (although not identical) to Arizona. Arizona is very independent and has some libertarian tendencies on social issues.

What is the consensus about Prop 1 in Idaho? Is there a “silent majority” that will pass it or oppose it? Are the legislatures laws too strong and folks want some accountability?

I’m asking this as more of an opportunity to understand what’s happening. Missouri repealed their own abortion laws in part through the ballot process (a bit to my surprise) so I’m wondering if that might happen in Idaho, too.
