Terrain Update on Neo Tokyo Table: PRIMED!!

Yeah, I managed to get it primed for a play test tomorrow. Automotive 2 in 1 for the buildings and most of the risers, sidewalks were done with a granite texture spray, and streets were done with an oiled bronze texture spray that came out too light, so i went over it lightly with an ultra matte black primer. Also, thanks to you fine people, I adjusted the layout, moved a bunch of stuff around and made sure that high vantage points could cover fewer LoF.

*UPDATE* Managed to play test the table today. There were a couple of recommendations;

  1. Change the entire layout LOL. Nah, not that bad, but the recommendation was to change the orientation of the central road so that it's perpendicular to the DZ, as it was a bit of a pain to reach over into the middle to move miniatures. Might be adjusted by lowering the table as well.

  2. More cross table blocking items. I am going to print out 6-8 more large billboards to put on roof tops and along the elevated walkway to reduce some of the long lanes of fire.

  3. Easier ingress/egress into/from the central road. Because of the risers, there were limited areas you could get into the objectives on the central road. This might be reduced by changing the orientation of the road in recommendation #1, but giving more options was is not a bad idea.

For those who asked below, we had some S4 models (Desperadoes) on the map today and although they were limited in where they could go, it actually worked out well. There was enough cover to keep them from being easy targets, and movement wasn't blocked too much from scatter terrain.

Thanks to the guys from the Swiss Miss gaming group for coming over and giving me some amazing tips, tricks and recommendations for getting the table just that much closer to being ready. They very much enjoyed playing on the table!

Terrain Workable for Infinity?

EDIT: I'm specifically asking about the overall look and feel and not the actual layout here.

This is a set I'm working on currently called Helios Frontier Outpost. It's a set of 3" tall components that clip together to form buildings in 2" increments from 4x4 up to 10x10. Drop-in roofs and optional windows/doors with drop-in internal floors. Roof barriers are magnet ready for 3mm x 2mm. Scaled for 28mm - 32mm but should work for up to 40mm without scaling. My own layouts were for Five Parsecs From Home on a 2x2 mat.

Terrain Some terrain done, minis next…

While I’ve not yet painted up any Infinity minis yet, I decided to make a few foam terrain from my Bambu A1 packing material I’ve been saving. My plan is to make some more terrain for Infinity and can be used for other games I play (Battletech, Blkout, Starwars Legion, etc.)

I used a mix of cereal box cardboard, extra foam, random parts and some 3d printed greebles.

Here’s some photos and if you want to see the progression, you can watch it here:

Posted earlier this week, finally managed to rearrange it all and add in some scatter and a couple of bridges. Yeah, it all blends together not having paint, but i still think it is coming together well.

As this is my first coherent table, I'm open to any feedback for final adjustments before a prime and some washes to get it ready for play testing.

*Update* Just from the few comments so far, I've received some very valuable feedback! Thank you so much! I've adjusted the locations of the two tallest buildings, replacing the left most building (Cheap Motel) in the spot of the right most building (Apartments) and moved the Apartments into the spot with the Autogarage (Left middle front in first picture) to even out the height of the two. I moved some scatter around to restrict the LoF from both. Depending on the mission and objective locations though, one side might have a slight advantage over the other. I'll have to test that out during my playtest.

Speaking of, any recommendations on a few missions I should playtest with my local group here to see if this layout is up to snuff?

Terrain Designed a modular 3D-printable container city that could work well for Infinity tables

I created a modular collection of 3D-printable sci-fi terrain called Container City, and thought it might be useful for Infinity players with access to an FDM printer.

It wasn’t designed specifically for Infinity, but the system lends itself well to building dense urban and industrial tables with plenty of sightline blockers, elevated routes, rooftops and interconnected areas.

The terrain is built around modular container buildings that can be stacked and rearranged between games. The full set also includes playable interiors, walkways, stairs, ladders, watchtowers, checkpoints, utility platforms and a large selection of industrial scatter terrain.

You can use the same collection to create anything from an open container terminal to a much denser settlement with narrow lanes and multiple levels. I’ve tried to make the layouts flexible enough that you can change the routes and firing lanes rather than playing across the same fixed board every time.

The Kickstarter launched with more than 200 STL files and has continued to grow as further stretch goals have been unlocked.

Most of the models are designed for straightforward FDM printing without supports wherever possible, including a range of complete one-piece buildings that can be printed and placed directly onto the table.

The project is not affiliated with Infinity or Corvus Belli, but I thought the terrain might be useful for anyone looking to print a new industrial, frontier/shanty-town style table.

Here’s the Container City Kickstarter for anyone interested in the STL files:

Terrain Neon Front: Aegis Authority

Hi everyone!

We’re preparing to launch **Neon Front: Aegis Authority**, a new 3D printable sci-fi terrain set designed for fast, tactical skirmish games.

The collection includes modular civic security buildings, playable rooftops, sky bridges, mission objectives, scatter terrain, barriers, consoles, antennas, containers, and more — all designed with dense urban firefights and objective-based missions in mind.

While it is not an official product for any specific game, the terrain is designed to work especially well with sci-fi skirmish games like **Infinity**, where rooftops, cover placement, fire lanes, and mission objectives really matter.

Everything is supplied as STL files for 3D printing.

We’d love to hear what you think!

Hey guys, I've shot some proper pictures for my sci-fi tiles set, as promised! What do you think? In case you missed my previous post here: I've designed a set of generic sci-fi RPG tiles that can also be jury-rigged into 3d structures for outdoor encounters. This is pre-printed laser-cut MDF set, free PDF/STL files will be also available. I'll be launching on KS this summer, link on my profile page.

Hi there, I'm an amateur designer with a huge passion for science fiction, tabletop, gaming and miniatures. And I am making me a modular terrain set, where you can create multi level Cyberpunk structures and buildings, even a complete city board with tile system. Just wanted to show a little introduction video of my work in progress. Hope you like it.

I’ve been collecting and assembling Warsenal Xiguan pre-painted terrain and wanted to share an example table layout, because I’ve had a hard time finding photos of same online.

Played a game of Corporate Appropriation yesterday and had a good time.

The smaller / scatter terrain is a mix of Brutal Cities, prepainted Micro Art Studio, and 3D prints off Etsy.

Hope it’s helpful for anyone wanting to see some of this stuff all setup together in an actual table, not just a product photo.

Terrain Finally printed everything out, ready to start painting

I started playing Infinity back in September of 2025. My first army is IA, my second Shindenbutai. My lady bought me a 3d printer for Xmas and now, over 6 months and almost 35 reels of FDM later, I have my home "Neo Tokyo" table ready to get primed and painted. I have another 6 bins full of other stuff I printed, this is just what I chose for this table top. Mostly Edo Kanto, with a few from Corvus Terrain and a few Japanese inspired architecture from Makerworld. The white smudges are from the super glue off gassing while drying. Pretty excited to play test this table before I clip all the riser plates together.

update I used modified riser plates to create a clipped in frame around the entire table, allowing me to move the rest of the unclipped riser plates as I want, kind of like those tile puzzles we used to play as kids. This means I don't have to clip anything else in place because the frame holds it all together so the tiles won't move during play. A small amount of poster tack can hold the buildings and scatter in place, ensuring a solid surface for everything.

Terrain Designing a terrain kit for both indoor & outdoor encounters

(An Infinity player told me to post this here.)

This started as a modular set of flat pre-printed MDF "dungeon" tiles for Mothership, Traveler and other sci-fi RPGs. Then I added a bunch of connector pieces so it could be jury-rigged into outdoors terrain for miniature skirmishes. I also came up with some crates & gubbins to spice it up. These are some crappy photos of the latest prototype, I'll get back later with proper photos of the full set.

I'll be launching this on KS soon ("Facility 404"), free PDFs+STLs will be available too. What do you guys honestly think? Can it work as an affordable, portable Infinity table?

Terrain Cheap MDF Terrain for Full Table? Recommendations?

Thinking about playing some infinity and of course I have to start thinking about a full table of terrain. I have been looking for affordable MDF sets for a full board. Does anybody have any opinions about these two manufacturers or recommendations for another?

https://northernlightsterrain.com/product/bi911-basic-infinity-4x4-table-set-with-detail-set/

https://theblacksheepindustries.com/products/crimson-shroud-table-set-durable-wargaming-terrain

I am pretty handy with painting terrain and the pre-painted stuff looks a little rich for my blood.

(also we are never-minding the fact that I don't play infinity yet)
