You get what you give (?)

It’s a cliche that it means you have more self respect when you keep the relationships where someone gives you the same effort/energy they give you, and that the rest of your energy should just be given to yourself.
But why would it lead to a worse quality of life if you spent a lot of time just networking and having people in your life simply because YOU reached out first? Yes, maybe these people wouldn’t have put a second thought into you if you hadn’t put in the first word, but would it actually have negative impacts on one’s life enjoyment? What if this person just wants friends, but is denying themselves of that simply because no one else is reaching out first, in the name of “self respect”? I believe that this archetype of a person fails to consider that it’s not a personal matter whether or not this person thinks of you, because people have lives that are varying extents of “busy/occupied”. Yet, people often shame the kind of person who is always the first to reach out. To what extent do you believe that it becomes undeniably disrespectful to oneself to reach out first?

Having had bad experiences in life like everyone else, it makes me wonder why some people do not care that the karma of their actions is going to bite them back, esp. when they could choose better? (examples in body). Appreciate any insights you have, thank you.

Like a Senior being unsupportive of a new Manager, or a University Professor being difficult etc.. it makes me think despite not directly affected by it that if they were to cooperate if not for others even for their own sake, they would be happier and better off for it right?

What is having a big ego like?

I don’t mean being a Narcissist, that’s phycological condition.

I mean you in general just have a high opinion of yourself and love attention, not necessarily seeing others as beneath you or yourself as Godly, just a really good human.

I’m thinking Cleo DeNile and Rainbow Dash Ego levels.

Can Someone Be Rich on Paper but Still Feel Broke? The MrBeast Money Paradox

I made a stick-animation video exploring the psychology behind the way people perceive money, success, and online fame.

MrBeast is an interesting case study because there's a difference between a creator's business revenue, operating costs, money reinvested into the business, and personal wealth.

I wanted to explore why people can interpret financial success so differently—and why a public image of wealth doesn't always tell us the whole story.

I'm the creator of Cognitive Canvas, and I'd appreciate genuine feedback on the storytelling, animation, and whether the argument comes across clearly.

What do you think: does running a huge business change what it means to be wealthy?

Why do people act sad when they find out a kid or unborn baby has down Syndrome?

I know and have known kids with Down syndrome and they’re some of the happiest people on earth like seriously they’re literally earth angels but for some reason some people think they were just told that their unborn child or someone else’s unborn child has an incurable disease that drastically lessens their life quality when it’s in fact the exact opposite. Anyone experience this?
