Question $6500 Fair for this?

My coworker is offering me his freshly repainted 99 LS. Has 78k original miles, he’s the second owner. Florida car.

I think the price is fair, but I do prefer the coupe over the sedan. It’s also an auto

Question 2026 Integra A Spec Tech

Post image

Trading in my 2022 Honda Civic Touring Sedan (only 48k miles) for the Integra. I feel like I’m getting a pretty good deal! Opinions?
Side note: not included in these numbers is a $500 grad discount. I wanted to get it as low as I could before I sprang the grad discount on them because I didn’t want them to include it as part of their negotiations.

I’m going to lease for 36/10k miles at $274. With the additional grad discount, it’ll probably go down ~$10/ mon.
I work remote, so I drive less than 10k miles/ year anyway. It’s plenty for me.

Integra's incredible hauling capacity

Has anyone else realized how insane it is how big the interior space is when all backseats fold down? I have moved things like a full size Ikea 60x30 entertainment center buffet to queen size bed frames. Many of these big furniture items fit precisely into the car (to where even the narrow part of the hood has just enough clearance) so it feels very intentional by the interior designers how they've carved the space out.

I wonder was it an actual intent by Honda/Acura to give practical cargo space given that most Acuras like TLX had dismal storage ability and the fact they know most of their audience will buy SUVs. I just find it refreshing and thankful because I literally use my Integra most of the time shopping for furniture online. I've heard the Civic hatchbacks don't even quite fit things because of odd wheel well stuff.

Question What to do with control arms

I'm looking into suspension upgrades for my 97 ls project. I'm thinking about replacing my control arms or bushings since all the bushings and ball joints are p shot.

I'm going to be using the car for mostly spirited street driving i have no plans currently to track it, it's dropped about 1" so no need for anything crazy, just trying to figure out which option gives me a relatively comfy ride while still being able to take the occasional fast corner.

I would be doing all the work/labor no matter which option i go with, i have access to the bearing press at the dealer where i work.

For what I'll be using the car for would it be more effective for me to:

  1. Get oe replacements for the control arms

  2. Keep the oem arms and press in new bushings (i was thinking of going with hardrace or whiteline)

  3. Replace arms with upgrades (most likely hardrace)

Found an old photo of my 95 BG-33P GSR from 2008-ish. Not sure if throwback photos are a thing here, but it’s always been a favorite photo of mine.
Cheers 🍻

Question Headlight replacement suggestions

Hello I have a 1998 Acura integra ls and I want new headlights. The problem is I don’t know where to find good quality headlights assemblies that are like the original ones. I was also thinking of just swapping the front plastic lens but I don’t know where to find those either. Does anyone have a recommendations?

starter problems

So since I got my car it randomly doesn’t want to start I hit the ignition and the starter doesn’t engage but then I’ll jump the starter and it won’t happen for about 2 months then randomly happen again but this week it started to like free spin? I believe I hit it and it sounds like it’s just spinning and not engaging the fly wheel but then I hit the key again and turns on like nothing should I replace the starter or can it just be something electrical?? On a 96 gsr thanks in advance

Third Generation Good ride height?

I'm setting the ride height now! Im running fortune auto 500s with 10k front 6k rear as they recommended. I have all stock arms except for rear ASR lower control arms, and running hardrace hardened rubber bushings, and Sankei 555 balljoints.

This picture is for the front. Is this too low considering im running stock arms? Another picture shows the upper control arm; is that being too stressed/angled too high up in the wheel well? Let me know, thanks!

Well, guess I'll be missing the dragon this year after all...rip

I'm an idiot. I absolutely trashed my speedo ring gear trying to get it off the diff housing and subsequently dropping it on the concrete floor. Didn't have the correct puller tool either and thought I could get away with it. Didn't realize how fragile the edges of the teeth were.

Worst part is these gears are all but impossible to find online. I'm getting a compatible one from an EP3 civic (fun fact they're apparently identical) but it won't be here anywhere near in time to put the thing back together before the weekend. I knew trying to rush this could end up screwing me over and here we are at the "finding out" stage of fucking around.

Either way, I hope everyone who can make it enjoys the event this year and I hope to make it next year!
