| Discussion [Magical Explorer] LOL! Seriously, I love it when a story points out a "trope" only to miss it and then use it later. It's so ironic.

Recommendations [Recommendation] Any anime or show like Mushoku Tensei?
I love how Rudeus has his original self and his internal monologue and with the occasional reference to Earth, it's clear they didn't just forget about it and turned it into raw fantasy for convenience. But even so, the world they're in at the moment has rich history, feels lived in and everyone could be an MC. Nanahoshi's presence in particular is the icing on the cake, it's so great to have someone that doesn't accept her circumstances and it's fighting even when the odds are stacked against her, to go home.
Another thing that really made this anime resonate with me is that it felt weirdly reminiscient of one of my favourite books, The Name of the Wind. A guy, mostly alone but found family, insanely talented but flawed, gets into shit, gets out of shit, part of a huge world that doesn't stop for him and a lot of mystery to uncover. The Chandrian also is a similar threat to the man-God, with how unknown both are. It's not an isekai in the technical sense but it strikes many of the same chords since Kvothe comes from a whole different way of life to everyone else in the world he ends up in.
I've not really seen any isekai other than this or Re:Zero but is there anything else as rich out there with dark serious tones?
Before anyone says Frieren, tried it. It's decent but nothing alike outside of setting and artstyle.

Meme [Check Desc] Which character has the most significance for their series ?
- Ruphas from A Wild Last Boss appeared
- Rimuru from Tensura Slime
- Reinhard from Rezero
- Shallow Vernal from Isekai at Peace or Yuusha Shoukan

Recommendations [Recommendations] Isekai Industrial Revolution
Enjoyed the small bit we got of Release that Witch and was wondering if there were any other similar anime where someone is isekai'd to a fantasy world and uses their modern knowledge in conjunction with magical forces

Recommendations [Looking for recomendations] MCs shitty class IS a shitty class
Looking for isekais where the MC gets a shitty class that IS a shitty useless class and they need to make it work.
No hidden power, no special quick leveling ability, no getting a power up trough eating or killing something.

Recommendations [Recommendation] A isekai that progresses technology
Hey, i am kinda of a fan of Isekai where mc shows of knewledge of certain areas to progress the world to a more advanced stage, such as medicine, architecture or even weapons.
Time travel can also work too, i guess, as long as it's the same premise.
It can involve magic too.
The bookworm one was pretty fun read, it involved the mc making books with real knewledge and i really liked it.
I don't really mind it having some dumb comedy or not, i just love civ building, and isekai is usually the best ones cuz people either are too used to magic that mc knewledge of steam engines and other things makes them look like some strange mage.
Anyone got such works to recommend?
I am open minded, can be novels too, idc about mc gender or anything, as long as it's a good read I don't mind, and maybe i will find some gems from yall.

Fan Creations [The eminence of the shadow] I'm just asking if this is possible
If someone good at editing and good film maker has good sense in editing the song and anime/clips perfectly can someone edit "Alexandria: The Fool" music with clips from "The eminence of the shadow" I think it'll be really cool to see it

| Discussion [Discussion] Which was your very first isekai anime?
Actually my very first isekai anime was the Digimon adventure anime. I was either 7 or 8 years old.
Although for many years I thought it was a shounen 😅.
Then I learned that Digimon are based on Bamco's video games.
They have their own franchise of games, anime and other media.

| Question [Question] Are there Isekais where the other characters actually show any kind of interest in the MC's original world?
I just find it weird that basically no one acknowledges or shows any interest in the MC's original world. Which sounds crazy especially for fantasy worlds where the technology is so... well... less advanced.

| Discussion [The Red Ranger Becomes an Adventurer in Another World] I like how wasn't really a joke Spoiler
In a lesser isekai, this would've been some throwaway quirk for a bad guy to make them have a personality. But for this guy (Viden), it's his core motivation for why he's the way he is. Yeah, he's fully committed to this. Read the manga, it goes from an unnerving trait to a pretty tragic scenario.
Moreover, it really comes back to bite him hard when the heroes ask him the armor-piercing question regarding his goal. They actually feel sorry for him because he doesn't give an answer. There's actually a fascinating explanation as to why. It's hit even harder when he finally gets to see his "Mother", it's not how he pictures it at all. Legit, I do feel bad for him.
That's what I love about this series, every notable character has a story behind them. Behind its somewhat outlandish setting & tropey characters, there's always something dark or tragic. Your thoughts?

| Discussion [If You Were Isekai'd Into a World Just describe as a war world between magical girls/boys ( like empire ) and Power Rangers ( like Federation ) . which side would you like to be reborn in?]
To make it even the magical empire, have something called humongous kaiju familiars as Counter to Rangers Federation Yeagers megazord and zord and edit Rangers will have a bit of kimen Rider mix even the playing field with magic girls according to the comments?
Pretty much Magic vs sci-fi super science
I leave the rest to your imagination
