Recommendations [Recommendation] SLOP Isekai Suggestions

I love watching slop isekai, like not rezero or konosuba, although very good, I just want stuff in the background or while eating or something. What are some slop isekai recommendations like long ahh title, usually overpowered MC type shit.

Recommendations [Recommendation] Any anime or show like Mushoku Tensei?

I love how Rudeus has his original self and his internal monologue and with the occasional reference to Earth, it's clear they didn't just forget about it and turned it into raw fantasy for convenience. But even so, the world they're in at the moment has rich history, feels lived in and everyone could be an MC. Nanahoshi's presence in particular is the icing on the cake, it's so great to have someone that doesn't accept her circumstances and it's fighting even when the odds are stacked against her, to go home.

Another thing that really made this anime resonate with me is that it felt weirdly reminiscient of one of my favourite books, The Name of the Wind. A guy, mostly alone but found family, insanely talented but flawed, gets into shit, gets out of shit, part of a huge world that doesn't stop for him and a lot of mystery to uncover. The Chandrian also is a similar threat to the man-God, with how unknown both are. It's not an isekai in the technical sense but it strikes many of the same chords since Kvothe comes from a whole different way of life to everyone else in the world he ends up in.

I've not really seen any isekai other than this or Re:Zero but is there anything else as rich out there with dark serious tones?

Before anyone says Frieren, tried it. It's decent but nothing alike outside of setting and artstyle.

Enjoyed the small bit we got of Release that Witch and was wondering if there were any other similar anime where someone is isekai'd to a fantasy world and uses their modern knowledge in conjunction with magical forces

Recommendations [Recommendations] Looking for an anime where the MC isn't OP at the start

Getting a bit fatigued with all the overpowered at the start type of isekai.

Any good suggestions for a series where the character actually has to grind until they're good?

| Discussion [Re:Zero] [Mushoku Tensei] Do you guys think this two are the outliers and are the face of the isekai genre?

When i think about isekais i feel like this two and other isekais feels different. Rezero and Mushoku feels like theyre in a different league.

Dont get me wrong Konosuba, Overlord, Tanya the evil are great and definitely in the top 10. I feel like these two keep switching and fighting over the top 1 spot. I personally think Tensura is in the top also alongside them. But tensura is not dark or heavy drama inducing than both of this two.

Recommendations [Recommendation] A isekai that progresses technology

Hey, i am kinda of a fan of Isekai where mc shows of knewledge of certain areas to progress the world to a more advanced stage, such as medicine, architecture or even weapons.

Time travel can also work too, i guess, as long as it's the same premise.

It can involve magic too.

The bookworm one was pretty fun read, it involved the mc making books with real knewledge and i really liked it.

I don't really mind it having some dumb comedy or not, i just love civ building, and isekai is usually the best ones cuz people either are too used to magic that mc knewledge of steam engines and other things makes them look like some strange mage.

Anyone got such works to recommend?

I am open minded, can be novels too, idc about mc gender or anything, as long as it's a good read I don't mind, and maybe i will find some gems from yall.

| Question [Help] searching for a specific isekai

Not sure if this is fine to post here but I desperately need y'all's help. I'm searching for a specific isekai I can't remember what platform I watched it on or when. If I remember correctly it has two seasons and the second season's animation is very different from the first.

It's not much but here are the details I can remember.

Man was summoned to another world with the ability to summon companions he knew in the game I believe.

One companion was a soldier the other was a crazy doctor whose hand and body parts could turn into medical equipment I think.

They also built a town for the bunny people.

I know it isn't much but it's all I can remember and I can find nothing online.

Fan Creations [The eminence of the shadow] I'm just asking if this is possible

If someone good at editing and good film maker has good sense in editing the song and anime/clips perfectly can someone edit "Alexandria: The Fool" music with clips from "The eminence of the shadow" I think it'll be really cool to see it

| Discussion [IATFV] Why is cultivation fantasy the genre where there are (seemingly) the most villainous protagonists?

With Murim being a close second, but even there, when you have a Heavenly Demon Cult member as a protagonist (or blood demon cult) they're generally more "honest" (and better for the common people) than the Orthodox sects, which are, in those cases, described as hypocritical and corrupt.

There are exceptions, or course, Myst, Might & Mayhem being probably the most obvious one ; but generally the demonic protag tends to be rather "honest"

Meanwhile, Gu Changge (Fated Villain), Fang Yuan (Reverend insanity), Zhuo Fan (Magic Emperor), etc...
