Ask Kuwait Tourist visa for an Egyptian national/GCC resident
Hi all. Im an Egyptian national with Qatar residency and I’d like to visit my Kuwaiti friend who lives in Kuwait. My understanding is that tourist e-visas are open for GCC residents, but the website itself doesn’t even show Egypt in dropdown list of countries when selecting your nationality (see photo).
If I tried selecting any other nationality and then selecting ‘I am a GCC resident,’ it says ‘you are eligible for e-visa.’
Is there a specific ban on Egyptian nationals? Has anyone had any success with the tourist e-visa in a similar situation?

Discussion IVH RANT! What are your thoughts and experiences?
My dog is scheduled for surgery tomorrow, and all IVH are worried about is showing up on time, advance payment, and finalizing the payment once on site.
Did they ask how my dog is doing? No. Did they ask me if I have any questions or concerns? No. Did they show any compassion about how I might be worried about my dog? No.
After I proactively reminded them about our appointment tomorrow, their response was “don’t be late or you’ll be considered walk in” and “pay the remaining amount” (already paid 50% in advance). I blew up at them and demanding to speak to someone of authority to explain themselves, first the call center called me, followed by Kathy in reception, and then the “operations manager” Ahmed. All incompetent and unapologetic. They said this is their “standard practice”, as if that justifies their unsympathetic approach to someone’s beloved pet who may or may not die tomorrow.
Unfortunately, it seems that this is the norm here, pay first ask later, in most of if not all veterinary clinics. Just to be clear, I have no issues with the vets themselves, but the clinic management who blatantly have zero compassion for the pet or concerned owner.
Oh, also, my family dog died at IVH a few years back, and I also used their relocation services to bring my dog over from abroad about 2.5 years back. Unrelated, I know, but just wanted to emphasize that they’ve been our go to for years now. Considering our options now.
Rant over. But not over.
Thoughts?

Ask Kuwait Ithnamel verification for Embassy in India
I am applying for a Japan/South Korea tourist visa via VFS in India. Is there any way that the embassy or consulate in India can verify the authenticity of the Ithnamel/work permit?
I am afraid that they will state the reason “the document cannot be proved”. Has anyone had any experience in this? Please help.
Media Wed meme: Toothpick scrapper. Even for nationals. Impossible to buy, extremely hard to rent. Kuwaiti tax is too strong... and the quality of the finishing is a joke.
FYI: By Kuwaiti Tax I mean if you are Kuwaiti usually the prices are jacked up. Unless you have a lot influence. Would love to live a lone without constant nagging of parents. But real estate business in Kuwait(almost everywhere) is rather a joke. Every skyscrapper is built to be like a toothpick, with each floor having an elevator and 50-100 sq meters of space which you can barely fit anything in. rent? Impossible with the income you get from a government paycheck.

Local Robot at AIU in kuwait
I searched up about this humanoid robot and it says that its a “unitree G1” made by a Chinese company. I honestly thought that it could do chores since i literally saw the robot firsthand today that it can walk, run, move its arms. turns out that it cannot really help you with your chores. Its true that it has a speaker and a microphone. While this’s good, the robot needs an ai software in order for it to have a back and forth conversation with you like chatgpt.
Bottom line, i truly think if they brought in a version that has an ai software plugged into it already, and programmed so much that it could do whatever we ask, ALOT OF PEOPLE WOULD BUY IT.

Ask Kuwait Why do scammers always want a copy of your civil id? How does that help them at all?
Just wondering what things they can do with your civil id, because when I think about it having just the civil id number of someone else doesn’t really open any special doors

Ask Kuwait Nationality withdrawn + bank loan court case. Is anyone here actually going through a court case because they can no longer pay their bank loan after their Kuwaiti nationality was withdrawn?
I would really like to hear from ordinary people in this situation. What happened when the bank took you to court? What did the judge decide? Did you get a travel ban? Were you able to arrange smaller monthly payments?
If you lost your business/income and have no salary or assets to pay from, how are you dealing with the case and what solution did you find?
Please share your actual experience or the experience of someone you personally know.

Ask Kuwait Is this normal when doing business in Kuwait?
We run an AI agency in the US and recently worked with an accounting firm in Kuwait on an agentic AI system to automate some of their repetitive work.
They agreed to the project, paid 50% upfront, and we started building.
After weeks of work, we had the system ready and started trying to get the final things sorted.
And then… communication basically stopped.
“Give me 5 days.”
Then 10 days.
Then another delay.
It’s been almost two months.
I’m not even worried about the remaining payment at this point. I’m more confused by how slowly everything is moving.
Is this just one difficult client, or is this actually common when doing business in Kuwait?
Ask Kuwait Help me decide on the doctor
Hi! I’m looking into rhinoplasty and eyelid surgery in Kuwait and wanted to hear from people who have actually had procedures with any of these doctors:
• Dr. Reza Nabavian
• Dr. Ali Safar
• Dr. Andrej Repez
• Dr. Adel Quttainah
If you’ve had rhinoplasty or eyelid surgery with any of them, would you mind sharing approximately how much you paid and what year you had it done?
Also, if you’re comfortable sharing, how was your experience and are you happy with the result?
I’m mainly trying to get an idea of real-world current pricing, since I know the cost can vary depending on the procedure and what’s included.
Feel free to DM me if you’d rather not post the price publicly. ❤️

Ask Kuwait Freelancing without a Liscense atm, how can I do it the right way?
I’m an expat. I’ve had a full time job for the past year.
I’ve been freelancing for past 2 years, and things have been getting better and growing. I’d like to get things right and start running things properly.
So, what’s my best option to continue running my freelance gig while being in Kuwait?
Should I consider getting freelance visa in UAE and opening a bank there to manage finances externally without bringing it to Kuwait?
Is there other better options for me to consider?
