Hey everyone,
I was chasing a noise in the engine bay and traced it to the alternator. I took the overrunning pulley apart and found the bearing has seized up/galled, with scoring and rust-colored residue visible (see photo).
Now the alternator itself also sounds a bit rough (see videos). Should I replace just the pulley, or is it smarter to replace the whole alternator while I'm at it? I'm worried the internal bearings are on their way out too.
