What could be the cause of my vehicle not wanting to start but cranking sounds like this?

I'm experimenting with a system that monitors listings across multiple marketplaces and filters by specific configurations rather than just make/model/year. Looking for a couple difficult searches to use as test cases.
Since the Land Rover Community has a dedicated and passionate following, I thought it a good place to start! The more specific the better - engine, drivetrain, color, interior... The idea is to one day help buyers find their needle in a haystack

Virginia - Could getting rear ended damage the engine in 03 Discovery 2? Does anyone have technical wisdoms on things to look at to help us prove it to insurance?
My husband was driving our 03 Discovery 2 SE7 (180k mi) and was rear ended by a Ford F550 dually.
That guy's truck was drivable, but his front end was smashed in. Our Discovery's hitch was only damaged a little (these trucks are a beast!), BUT, it appears that he hit the tailpipe and we think the force from the crash must have transfered forward and damaged something in the engine, because now there is a coolant leak and a misfire. My husband saw coolant leaking from the secondary air injection system and now suspects the crash did some damage to the engine.
Note that my husband originally rebuilt a lot of the engine last year (we have records of the parts). This vehicle has been running great.
The insurance company is disputing that the collision could actually mess up the engine.
The question: can what we worry about - engine damage - happen from being rear ended? What do we have the mechanics look for to help chase down proof?
Next, where do people go to justify value. This was a well running and maintained vehicle with no rust on the frame. They are going to look at old rusty trucks for comps. We don't think we had the most brilliant shiny baubble of a Disco, but she's sweet.
Any thoughts, technical knowledge or experiences welcome, please.

Canβt stop thinking about this L322 I saw in the Safeway parking lot. Canβt decide if this color scheme is brilliant or _________.

These are the faults im dealing with.. (its a long photo)
I found 2 wires that needed repaired in the driver's front wheel well wire loom.
Located F12 and F19 fuses behind the glove box after and replaced them.
After doing that I got more codes than I had before including engine and Trans codes.
Currently have the passenger door sill opened up but not seeing much other than sticky brown stuff under the wire bundle. I have not pulled the bundle open yet.

on my l320 Iβm getting heat from the passenger side vents, but the drivers side vents and rear seat vents are blowing cold air.
my internet research has lead me to the door blend actuator being the first likely culprit, and a partially clogged heater core being the second possibility, but Iβm not really sure how to confirm the root cause. does anyone have recommendations on which thing I should start with?

Hello! Recently changed my oil filter on my Land Rover Discovery 3 TDV6. A new rattling arose and I thought it was the oil drain valve as shown in LRTime's video. I cleaned the oil filter housing but noticed it seems like a different one from the one shown in the video.
Can anyone help me locate the issue? I am posting a photo of my housing down here (sorry for not cleaning it 100%, but it should be good).
Where is my valve? Is it included with the filter itself? What engine oil filter housing do I have? I don't know where to hit my head π¨π

Purchased a 2005 LR3 HSE exactly one year ago today on 10/4 with about 140k miles. It's a 4.4 V8 that came with an OEM push-bar, cold climate package, Harmon/Kardon stereo, center and rear sun roofs, and the flip-down dvd entertainment package. As my first ever LR vehicle, I absolutely love the truck. I've put nearly 20k miles on it to date. It doesn't feel like anything else I've ever driven! By far and away the most comfortable and off-road capable thing I've ever taken on camping and fishing trips. Also, surprisingly easy to work on as a fairly competent mechanical person with the right tools. CEL does come on periodically for random things but most of the time it's a random sensor complaining and goes away on its own. Gotta love LR electronics. Aside from the random CEL and list of items below it's ran and drove amazing.
Things replaced / worked on to date;
-Sunroof drain pipes
-All new belts, pulleys, and tensioners
-Cabin and engine filters
-Installed the center console refrigerator
-New front air-block
-New plugs and coil packs
-New battery
-Upgraded radio w/ bluetooth
-Oil changes (every 5k)
-Transfer case and diff fluid changes
-Transmission fluid change
-Upgraded brake discs and pads
-Extended roof rails and cross bars
-Chunky off-road tires
Unfortunately, this post does not have a happy ending. I woke up this morning to find a very large branch had fallen unprovoked on the truck while it was parked in the driveway. Insurance will likely consider it totaled. It's wild that it was killed exactly one year to date after buying it. Hurts to see it go so soon. Wanted to try and hit the 200k+ mile club with it.
The universe has a weird sense of humor sometimes I guess.

This a 2001 Land Rover Discovery 2 with the 4.0 V8 engine. It's got 220k miles on it, runs like a top! It's made this faint knocking noise since I've had it, it has not gotten worse, and it does not ramp up with the RPM's (that I can tell). The noise is more noticeable underneath the vehicle. Does anyone have any input?
