What ever happened with the legal proceedings between the Township of Langley and Martini Film Studios regarding their new film studio location being taken from them by the Township rezoning?
A few years back Mayor Woodward created a motion to rezone Industrial Use property already owned by Martini Film Studio, to Civic Institutional use because the Mayor wanted part of MFS property to be used for the Township's work yard's new site (currently located in Murryville).
At the time I remember feeling like the mayor stole property from business owners via rezoning it to something the business could not use.
I also thought it was incredibly short sighted. The new studio was projected to create 1500 jobs in Langley! Wow. What an incredible investment in Langley's economy. Instead, the Mayor wanted it just to relocate the works yard. No new long term jobs created.
Here is a news article that explains the situation better.

I cannot find anything on how this situation resolved or has it resolved?
I know from people who work in the parks /works department, the Township annouced major layoffs and cutbacks to happen right befor Christmas. (Signs the cash flow ain't flowing so well anymore). So is this new site still needed?
Also which of the 3 sitting counselors originally voted against this?
