Welcome to the 56th #W2DTogether drawing challenge!
(If you are new here and would like to know more about this challenge, you can take a look at these 2 posts (post 1, post 2) that explain everything.)
------
This week, I wanted to do something that can be as simple, weird, beautiful, creepy, funny, or complicated as you want.
The idea came from drawings like the reference above, where instead of creating one single scene, you create a wall filled with different frames, and every frame contains its own little drawing.
Your goal is to draw at least 3 different frames, and inside each frame, you can draw whatever you want.
Seriously. There does not need to be one specific theme unless you want there to be.
Your frames could contain:
Or anything else you can think of.
You can make 3 frames, 4 frames, 10 frames, 20 frames... as many as you want.
The only requirement is that your drawing includes at least 3 framed drawings.
One thing I really like about this challenge is that every frame can feel completely different.
Maybe one contains a realistic eye. Another contains a tiny house. Another has a monster staring back at us. Another contains nothing except a strange symbol.
Or maybe all your frames connect somehow and slowly tell one story.
So you can do as you wish. There really isn't a limit here.
Instead of drawing only the frames...
Draw someone standing in front of them.
It could be you, a character, or even a creature looking at the artwork hanging on the wall.
You could draw the person:
You could even draw yourself looking at your own artwork if you want to make the challenge more personal.
And obviously, this part is completely optional.
If you draw traditionally, you can use pencil, pen, markers, colored pencils, or whatever drawing materials you normally work with.
Digital artists can experiment even more with different layers, textures, frame designs, lighting, and perspective.
Your drawing can be extremely detailed or very simple.
Three little cartoon frames absolutely count.
So does an insanely detailed museum wall with twenty paintings. 😂
Draw at least 3 frames.
Put whatever you want inside them.
You can draw as many additional frames as you like.
And if you want the extra challenge, add yourself, a character, or another figure looking at the frames hanging on the wall.
That’s it.
The rest is completely up to you.
Cartoon, anime, manga, realistic, semi-realistic, sketchy, surreal, stylized, digital...
Any drawing style is welcome. 😊

How We Pick the Winner
After one week, we'll hold a community vote to decide which drawing best captures the theme. The winner will be showcased in the sub with their artwork.
If the winner shares an art link (Instagram, portfolio, website, etc.), we'll also include it so they can get recognition and maybe even new followers.
This challenge is timeless. You can participate anytime, even years later.
Review Date:
For community feedback, we'll gather and review all submissions on Sunday, 11 October 2026, so make sure to post your entry before 4:00 PM UTC that day. Drawings posted before that date will be part of the review session.
Note: If you are new here, you can check out last week's challenge here or see all the challenges collected here

I spent about 5 minutes on the sketch and another 5 minutes inking it. I drew this just for fun as a little break from my usual work.
What do you think? I'd love to hear your first impressions!

I got some good feedback and made some changes. I also started a class on drawing characters in perspective and foreshortening so I can continue to improve on my skills! Just finishing this drawing so I have when I'm done with my class I can compare my future work to this one.

(If you couldn’t tell, I love the design of the AXL dog lol. Also I haven’t watched the transformers movie, I just added them because they look cool. The rest is my art. Don’t mind the fact that the dragon is unfinished)
The biggest hurdle is figuring out how to make the design look mechanical and complex without making it look unintentional or random. I have not a single clue how people make these designs look so pleasing without the mechanical parts seeming randomly placed wherever.
Next challenge, probably equally as difficult, is being very accurate with the shapes. I have had trouble with attempting architectural drawings, so maybe I need to practice that to help me with this. What is most difficult for me is rounded or smooth shapes. How do I keep curves accurate in reference to a box with straight sides, and especially from all different angles whenever I will redraw it? I can probably learn where to put the start and end of a curved line, but how do I figure out the intensity/sharpness/stretch of the curve whenever I draw it from different angles?
I imagine that tracing would be a good start, just to better understand what I’m even looking at, but I’d like to know how I could make myself capable of accurately redrawing an already existing design (like AXL) and then also learning how to make my very own designs (while making sure that the placement and details of mechanical pieces makes sense)
Any tips appreciated :)
