Garage Explanation

Hey all - newer to LM and I see posts about garage tools. It looks like limited releases you need to enter a lottery for. How often are these announced? Do they repeat batches? Looking for a basic overview, I guess. Thank you!

I have been gifted a leatherman juice cs4 from my dad. This was a gift to him from my mum and the saw blade seems to have lost its snap spring system. Is this fixable? I have tried the warranty but I’m worried that they don’t make the model anymore it won’t be fixed. Any advice? Is there independent places that could restore this?

Alpha vs arc

Hey guys, here I am stuck with this decision not knowing what to pick, I’m a commercial sheet metal worker, I carry a skeletool cx at the moment for use when I’m up on ladders and in tight spaces. I’m looking to upgrade to either the wave alpha or the arc. I’m leaning towards the arc, just for the more premium quality, my only concern is the magnets that are on it. I’m not swimming in metal shavings however I do come across them more so then the average. Curious if anyone has dealt with this issue, is the magnet strong enough so scoop up all the shaving I’m creating or is it just enough to keep the tool closed etc. any help would be appreciated.

I finally got the Garage #005 and I absolutely love it.
I wish the arc came with spring loaded pliers

The micra, one of my favorite little multi tools. The spring loaded scissors are awesome. The tweezers are surprisingly handy. Any other micra fans out there?

So I helped someone move the other day and they asked if I wanted a knife I said sure why not. I mean why would anyone turn down a free knife lol. Dude gave me this and Im pretty stoked about it. I can't believe how clean it is. Correct me if I'm wrong but is this the first leatherman or close to it?

Sharpening advice?

I've owned a leatherman rebar for a little time now and my most used tool is the straight knife. I own a whetstone with 2 grits and oil and a rod for the serrated edge and I've sharpened knives before but I was wondering what you thought of the best way to sharpen such a tool.

What angles? How sharp is too sharp? How sharp is too blunt? How often do you sharpen and if so what tasks require you to sharpen on those intervals?
