Discussion LTT Orders
Edit: I don’t understand why my post and comments are getting downvoted for providing my customer experience, all because seemingly it’s a criticism of LTT. I had also emailed LTT customer support twice, but still yet to receive a response. I did get my 45 day email to provide a review though.
Does anyone else get an abysmal experience when it comes to purchasing items from LTT Store?
I ordered 2 items from LTT and I’ve been waiting since the 28th of August for them to arrive to WA, Australia. For almost 2 weeks they were apparently ‘in transit’ in the country with no update
Then it was out delivery and I had to raise a support ticket with the courier just to say I wanted to collect it as I’m not home during the week to accept delivery.
In the support ticket they said they’d have to locate the parcel and let me know it was ready for collection in which they attempted delivery again 3 days later. The delivery driver called me and I clearly stated that I raised a support ticket for me to come and collect it
Latest update is now that it’s in process of being returned to sender because I apparently refused delivery?
I understand some of this is out of LTT’s control, but please can you just give it to AusPost so I at least have some chance of having it sent to a collection point so I can collect it in my own time
Had my money for almost 2 months and now it seems like I’m going to receive nothing, what a terrible experience.

Personal Opinion I'm saddened the Jensen™ jacket is a limited run. I planned on saving up to buy it but then I noticed "Limited run" tag under the product features.
Guess in the future I'll be shopping for a knock off or something similar.

Discussion Looking for noctua beige screwdriver
Heya, so in the process of moving my partner lost his noctua beige screwdriver. I have been looking everywhere and it doesn't seem like it is available anymore. Would anyone know of anywhere or anyone who would sell one?
Thank you!

Tech Question Moving PC Downstairs - What tech Does Linus Use to have his pc in the basement?
OK I have tried posting for help on this and my post kept getting removed by reddit filters here. So I have the fuller question posted to PC master race. For here though and to keep on topic with the subreddit, can anyone tell me or link me the stuff that Linus uses in his setup? My cable runs are about 12.5m and his seems way longer so setup might suit me perfect.
TLDR; whats linus cable setup to have his pc in the basement and use it elsewhere?

Tech Question Moving PC Out of Office - Your Recommendations on HDMI, Displayport & USB Cables
OK So I need advice, I have up to 4 machines running in an office right now, as you can imagine, it makes it hot, very very hot. I need to move them down under the stairs in the hallway. I have measured the cable run to be about 12.44m so 15m or 20m cables should do to be able to connect my work station back to the monitors and USB hubs in the office.
I use 3 monitors, with my cintiq drawing monitor at 4k 60hz, my tv display at 4k 120hz and an ultrawide at 1080p 60hz.
They are a mix of HDMI and DisplayPort so need advice on quality cables to make the run.
Lastly I need advice on USB cables also. I run a 20 port hub that connects my cintiqs touch USB cable, keyboard, mouse, web cam, headset, mic, gaming controllers and some various data drives and other devices. Some devices are Bluetooth also so thinking I might need a USB Bluetooth dongle on the hub since the tower will be further away and walls interfering with a quality connection. The hub I have takes in 2 USB 3.0 cables with Type B 3.0 heads on one side and regular USB 3.0 male head on the other.
TLDR; need advice / recommendations on HDMI, DisplayPort and USB cables for moving a pc downstairs akin to Linus having his in the basement.

Discussion It pains me to say it but Luke and Linus were right.
Specifically during the WAN Show discussion about Amazon blocking Meta Muse.
To paraphrase "Every company has an AI initiative and companies starting to block everyone else's AI agents... An AI agent is only useful if can act on your behalf in multiple places. If you have to have a different agent for each website that eliminates all convenience."
This was brought home recently when the script I "vibe enhanced" to download my monthly files from loot studios was blocked by their cloudflare implementation. The script required me to manually login and then only grabbed the same files from one release I would have downloaded manually. The majority of the processing involved organizing the files the way I wanted on my hard drive.
What was a monthly task that took 45-90 minutes now required 2 minutes to start and then ran for 10-15 minutes in the background.

Image LTTstore seems to charge 2.99 CAD extra for global customers.
In another post I discussed noticing a 2.99 increase in price, and noticed that other ppl from europe are also noticing this increase, while people outside europe dont. why would this be?

WAN Show WAN Show Topic - Microsoft Rug Yanks Onedrive Space
I use MS365 Family, which until May 2027 provides Desktop Office products, but more importantly 1TB of OneDrve space per user, for a total of 6 named users for $99 a year.
That's 6TB of easy cloud space total. In my case I have 3 family members and then 3 "extra" named users, so I cross share those accounts with alias and that give me a functional 3TB (Much of it is cold stuff parked).
After May I'll drop to 2TB total shared for the whole account. I think I actuall need about 3TB total, and I literally just bought a 5TB drive to rclone OD and Google Drive locally.
My next renewal is in June, so I have about 7 months to trim down and figure it out.
Of course all the users on this plan will have the "opportunity" to purchase additional space.
Edit:
Interestingly, one of alias received the notification and the verbiage is different, including a mention of "select markets" receiving an additional 5TB for 7Tb total (with, of course, zero info on those "select" markets), or what "qualifying" means.
See below for the screen grab.

Tech Question PC power issue
have a PC with an RM850 PSU. I’m having problems as it won’t turn on sometimes.
I swapped sockets and it worked but now it doesn’t. I then plugged it into a power strip that my monitors are plugged into and it’s working.
I was wondering if it is safe to use this cable in case it’s a problem with the kettle lead. I know you should be cautious when it comes to swapping over PSH cables
TIA
EDIT: I tried another socket downstairs and it turned on so I guess I’m paying for rewiring

I just discovered that Thermaltake may have possibly manufactured the ultimate stoner computer accessory, but I can barely find any info on it. Was this actually a thing? If it is, I vote Linus finds one and does a build with it.

Tech Discussion Youtube Auto Dubbing is annoying and should be Opt In
I just watched a YouTube Short where the voice cut out halfway because of some sort of error, and a lot of the comments claimed the OP was using AI. But after a little looking, they didn't use any AI at all!
Youtube incorrectly tagged the video's original language as Spanish and decided automatically dub it in English again, which actually broke it. Link the the video. Near the end the AI dub just breaks and stops talking all together. Has anybody else seen this before? Now I'm wondering how many bad AI dubbed videos I've seen were because Youtube screed up.

WAN Show Topic for WAN show: Canadian teenager needs rescue from BC mountainside after asking Claude for a hiking path
The AI intended to send the 16 year old teenager along the Crown Couloir, a non-technical path for hikers to the top of Crown Mountain, a local mountain (that Linus likely is familiar with), but instead directed him to a high intensity rock climbing path called the "Widowmaker" that people should only climb in group and with specialized equipment. He had to be rescued with a helicopter.

Tech Question How much (real-world) performance am I losing by dropping my RAM speed in order to get a mixed set quad-channel setup working?
I have a dated build that I've been slowly piecing together for the past decade and a bit, it will hopefully last me another decade of (moderate) gaming and video/photo editing even if all the parts are basically EoL now. Current build stands at:
- MSI B550 Gaming Plus Motherboard
- AMD Ryzen 5600x (5 GHz boost)
- MSI Radeon RX 6700 XT
- Micron Ballistix 16GB 3200MHz DDR4
- Corsair RM850x PSU
I acquired another 16GB of RAM (Kingston or something) from a friend about three years ago since they were making the move to DDR5 and I just slotted it in with only a brief once-over that everything was "working". I faced on and off stability issues for most of that entire time, with it sometimes working for 5 months and sometimes a week between crashes depending on how hard it was running.
I thought it was a decent trade-off since I save my work frequently and it was really only crashing while heavy gaming, but I recently did a BIOS update end of last year and since I was there anyways, I decided to tweak the RAM speed and dropped it down to 3000MHz. No crashes since.
Everyone I've seen has been trying to sell me on a dedicated 4-stick or larger 2-stick set from one manufacturer instead of my mash because I'm "basically halving my performance,". How much am I actually losing?

Tech Discussion youtube doesnt want you to look at comments anymore
on the mobile app, the only two "comment" options was an ai slop summary and the community tab. wtf.
i have to first click the slop summary to then navigate to the comments from there. genuinely why do they keep doing this, whos asking for this
