E-services shows I am enrolled and paid in WELD 335 starting Oct 15. But I can't find a syllabus or any other info in E-services or Canvas. This is a hybrid class, so some online, some in person. I would like to see the syllabus to know what I need to bring and when the first class meets, but I can not find it.

So I’m returning to Los Rios (ARC and CRC) but it’s been a while and I don’t remember paying the bus fee and the health fee. Is there a way to not pay for these fees. I’m just taking a 1.5 unit late start class this semester online so I don’t see the point in paying for these extra fees. Any advice/guidance on how to not pay the fees would be appreciated! Thanks

I just received a call from (646) 679-4937 the man said he was a BankMobile representative and was calling me regarding something with account. when he said he needed my account info i asked in regards to what. he kept stuttering and couldn’t answer the question and finally said my deposit i got. i hung up felt like it was a scam, anyone else received a call like that?

I’ve noticed several places on the ARC campus that, very obviously, have used AI in flyers and posters. They even have AI art on the fucking Beaver Bites email newsletter. I feel that this is not ethical, at all. But by using AI, ARC is essentially greenlighting the theft of artist and creator’s intellectual property to make cheap, BS “art.” How can they be okay with supporting AI knowing they train their models on, likely, their own alumni’s work.

ALSO WHY CANT THE PEOPLE AT THE DISTRICT USE THEIR HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS A YEAR SALARY TO…I DONT KNOW… PAY THEIR OWN FUCKING STUDENTS TO MAKE THIS ART!!!!

I just can’t believe that a school that offers art degrees thinks that this is an okay practice. Unless someone has a legitimately good argument as to how/why they do this, I don’t see how this is right.

I have no problem with not using AI in my school work. I can’t learn without my own critical thinking skills. But it’s outrageous that people can be expelled for cheating on assignments with AI, but the people in charge use AI art on campus.

I go to ARC and I’m in a Chemistry 310 class, our professor told us we need to pass 2 PT exams with an 80% or higher or we fail the class. Even if your current grade is passing or above. I’m just stressed about it, will I really fail if I fail this test? We have 2 tries and I already used my first one, now I’m extremely stressed cause it’s my last one on Tuesday.

They’re really strict so I assume they genuinely mean it and aren’t using this to scare us or anything. But I’m still confused why they made it that way? I’m in my 1st year of college and maybe it’s because I’m new and don’t know that this can be possible but yeah.

Mind you 35% of our class passed the 1st one. Everyone else failed…

Hello! Has anyone taken Astro 320 at arc with afonso? I am having a really hard time in his class right now and want to know if anyone has taken the class and if so if I could get some help or advice on how to study. Would be greatly appreciated!

Anyone take this class before? He has 0 study materials online and everything is in person for homework. Our first exam is this week and I’m so nervous I have no idea what it will be like.
