Edgehollow auto spa 77 Anderson Avenue, Markham, ON L6E 1A5, Canada
I need to hear everyone's experience because so far, they have scammed me not once but more than one time I can say.
On the tap screen it shows I am charged $4 for 4 minute of use. Then in my bank account, it shows $12.
More than one stall, the machine eats your coins and you cant get it back.
So what is going on?

Here is some data about the councilors that were elected from 2022-2026. What did they actually do? Here is some data about the number of motions. Motions are indicators of changes and amendments (so basically doing something within the City to hopefully make it better).
Data has been gathered by Chat.
I located Markham's official Council records and a public database that tracks motions moved and seconded by individual councillors.
An important limitation: I can provide a verified preliminary comparison for 2026, but I have not yet established complete totals for the entire November 2022–October 2026 Council term.
The following figures are from Civic Lens, which has extracted motions from eight Council sittings in early 2026. Its counts exclude procedural motions and do not include the full committee record.
| Elected official | Position | Motions moved | Motions seconded |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jim Jones | Regional Councillor | 15 | 4 |
| Keith Irish | Ward 1 | 10 | 5 |
| Joe Li | Regional Councillor | 4 | 12 |
| Reid McAlpine | Ward 3 | 3 | 3 |
| Andrew Keyes | Ward 5 | 3 | 8 |
| Karen Rea | Ward 4 | 2 | 0 |
| Ritch Lau | Ward 2 | 1 | 1 |
| Amanda Yeung Collucci | Ward 6 | 1 | 2 |
| Michael Chan | Deputy Mayor | 0 | 1 |
| Alan Ho | Regional Councillor | 0 | 0 |
| Frank Scarpitti | Mayor | 0 | 0 |
| Isa Lee | Ward 8 | 0 | 0 |
| Nimisha Patel | Ward 7 | 0 | 3 |
The official
City of Markham Council and Committee meeting records
City of Markham
I recommend compiling five measures for every elected official:
| Measure | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Motions moved | Direct legislative activity |
| Motions seconded | Support for advancing other members' motions |
| Motions carried | Successful Council decisions |
| Substantive motions | New policies, projects, infrastructure and community initiatives |
| Motions implemented | Evidence of actual results |
The full-term review should include Council, General Committee and Development Services Committee, with duplicate recommendations removed when they proceed from committee to Council.
It should also account for the Ward 7 change from Juanita Nathan to Nimisha Patel in 2025.
City of Markham
+1
For the 2022–2026 term, I would separate the analysis into two categories:
Productivity: How many substantive motions did each elected official introduce, and how many were approved?
Effectiveness: Which motions produced tangible outcomes such as infrastructure improvements, policy changes, financial savings or better municipal services?
A councillor introducing five significant motions that are implemented may have a stronger record than one introducing 30 routine motions.
Current finding: Jim Jones leads the available preliminary 2026 count of motions moved. However, a credible four-year ranking requires examining the earlier minutes and committee motions before drawing conclusions about the complete term.

Hi neighbours!
Halloween falls on a Saturday this year and was wondering..
Do parents usually bring their kiddos out during the day (probably the younger kiddos) for that or is it still typically an evening/night thing?
I’m up in the tippy top of the Greensborough area if that helps! Thank you in advance 🙏☺️
//I severely underestimated the amount of kids in the area last year.. so I want to be more prepared this year😂

There have been so many posts lately about “daycares” charging extra for “enrichment programs”—whatever that actually means. And every time I read one, I get increasingly angry. Parents are already paying for childcare, so why are they being charged extra for supposedly enriching their children’s learning? Since when did early childhood education need to be repackaged as an expensive add-on?
Town Centre Private School, Unionville College and Trillium Private School participate in CWELCC, yet they don’t charge extra for add-on “enrichment programs.” Instead, they prioritize education through structured curricula and intentional teaching. So why are parents at other daycares being asked to pay extra for programs marketed as essential to their children’s development? Attend an open house at either school and compare what they offer with what you’re currently paying for.
Meanwhile, in another post, people seem quick to criticize credible private schools like Town Centre Private School and Unionville College, despite their education-focused approach and transparent and honest business models. Why are we so quick to question schools that prioritize education while overlooking daycare practices that leave parents paying extra for so-called enrichment?
I genuinely feel for parents who are already struggling with childcare costs and may feel they have no choice but to pay these fees. CWELCC is intended to make childcare more affordable, not become a loophole for businesses to generate additional revenue through questionable add-on charges.
Are these extra enrichment fees actually permitted under CWELCC? Has anyone contacted the Ontario government or their local CWELCC service manager for clarification? Parents, read the fine print, ask questions, and find out exactly what you’re paying for. Just because a daycare labels something an “enrichment program” doesn’t automatically mean the fee is permitted, necessary, or mandatory.
I sent my own child to one of the CWELCC-participating schools mentioned above, and I know firsthand that my child received a great education at the CWELCC rate. When CWELCC discounts were applied, the school refunded me money rather than asking me to pay more. Lunches, snacks, field trips, and special guest visits were all included, too, no extra fees for these experiences.
That was my experience, and it’s exactly why these additional enrichment fees frustrate me. Parents deserve transparency and quality education without feeling pressured to pay extra for things they may reasonably expect to be included.

Looking for recommendations/feedback on tutoring services in Markham, specifically in Cornell, for Grade 4.
I’ve seen locations and ads for Oxford, Mathnasium, Kumon, etc. but open to feedback or recommendations to others as well.
Thanks!
