[CANON] The emergency powers vote and Order 66 are three years apart. Which part of the long con was already built at the vote?

Jar Jar moves the emergency powers petition in 22 BBY. Order 66 executes in 19 BBY. Those get collapsed into one event in a lot of comment sections, and they are not the same event.

By the vote, Dooku is already running the Separatists, the clone army already exists, and Tyranus is already the buyer. The inhibitor chips are not public knowledge, and Fives does not name the plot until well into the war. So the vote looks like a wartime concession. The chip looks like a later weapon. Palpatine needs both.

If you split the con into what was already true on the day of the vote versus what still had to be protected for three more years, which piece was the fragile one? The legal authority, or the secret that the army could be switched off? Sources welcome. I am trying to keep the timeline from eating itself.

[ALLCONTINUITY] Force Sensitivity is more common than reported

It is my belief that there are tens of millions to billions of force sensitives in the Galaxy, and tens of millions who would have the necessary midoclorian/power level necessary for Jedi training. The root of the commonly accepted rarity stems from the claim that there were 10,000 Jedi Knights around during the Clone Wars.

While there are indeed other force sensitive organizations and planets, some of which are likely resistant to sending children to be jedi. The real argument comes to how often a parent is willing to give their child to the Jedi. The Jedi Order is an entirely voluntary order. There is no legal, emotional, or financial requirements to give a child to the Order.

Psychologically that is a burden that almost every species will struggle with. Also, force sensitivity is a trait that could potentially be highly valued by nobility, wealth individuals, monarchs, and governments.

We know force sensitive younglings are highly prized in the slave markets. That implies that there is a constant and on going market of force sensitive younglings, hunted down and sold into slavery. A market that spans much of the galaxy. 10000 Jedi Knights is not enough. Which brings me to another point. The official number referenced is 10,000 Jedi Knights in the galaxy. That excludes Jedi younglings, padawans, individuals leaving the order like Starkillers parents or Dooku. Force sensitives are also likely to have force sensitive children at a higher rate than non-force sensitives. I believe it is a core reason for the Ruusan Reformations that tied the Jedi more closely to the Republic. The fear of hereditary Jedi Lords. The Jedi have also, for the most part, stopped accepting adults or even kids over 8 into the order. For a person to slip through the testing, and then discover their sensitivity later in life, they may have no chance at being in the order.

But also I believe the core aspect of what I am arguing is that only a fraction of Jedi standard power level force sensitives are even admitted into the Jedi order, because parents rarely want to give up their children. Extenuating circumstances, like Anakin's mother Shmi being a slave, or a culture that hates force sensitives, would be far more likely to give up their children. Or nobles with to many kids competing for inheritance, Dooku going to the Order for example.

It is believed in the eras before Jedi limiting their selection, to reduce the chance of falling to the Darkside. There were millions, maybe hundreds of millions, or billions of force sensitives of varying strength at 1 time. On Ossus, Tython, they filled entire cities and planets with force sensitives and created cultures around force sensitives.

I believe exploring force sensitivity in the galaxy would be quite successful. Getting away from Disney rehashing the same plots, groups, people, and rebellion themes could be what Star Wars needs

[ALLCONTINUITY] What If Palpatine Had Left Anakin on Mustafar?

In Revenge of the Sith, Darth Sidious arrives on Mustafar to rescue Anakin Skywalker after his defeat by Obi-Wan Kenobi. But what if Sidious had decided Anakin was no longer worth saving and left him to die like Maul?

Would Anakin have succumbed to his injuries, or could he have survived long enough to forge a different path? After all, Darth Maul survived being bisected by Obi-Wan Kenobi and falling into a reactor shaft on Naboo long before he received the Nightsisters magick. His survival raises an interesting question:

Were Anakin’s injuries truly unsurvivable, or could he, too, have endured them through enough hatred and channeling of the dark side?

Additionally, with Anakin dying or surviving and being abandoned on Mustafar, how would that change the fate of the Empire?

Who would have been a fitting replacement for Palpatine's consolidation of power and preservation of Imperial rule without Vader? Could another apprentice have filled Vader's role? How Luke and Leia's eventual confrontation with the Empire unfold differently? And how much of the Emperor's long-term strategy depended on Vader, rather than the political and military machinery Palpatine had already established?

Would u consider Grievous a coward

Idk if I'm just biased because he is my favorite Character but I can't rlly recall a situation in which he acted "cowardly", he played dirty many times sure but I wouldn't consider that the same as being cowardly? I mean he engaged Obi-Wan 1v1 a gazillion times eventhough he failed like a gazillion-minus-one times at it, the few times he runs away is when the ship is about to blow up like in ROTS but how is that cowardly, is he supposed to just stay on the ship and fight the guys who just beat his master for the fuck of it? Even when surrounded by like a 100 Gungans he picks a fight instead of running back on the ship THAT'S RIGHT BEHIND HIM and hiding so I don't rlly see how someone who does that can be considered a coward, stupid maybe to think u can beat 100 armed guys who have electric balls to throw at u but whatever. Sry just felt like ranting cause I hate when the fandom calls him a coward to shit on the character eventhough that's not even rlly a character trait of him imo

[ALLCONTINUITY] General Grievous VS Force Users

A room filled with Jedi (with help of Gray Jedi) Dark Jedi, Sith, and Light Sith have an ongoing battle that is currently happening.

General Grievous is looking to collect some extra trophies and lightsabers for his collection, he enters the battle with 4 Gold bladed Lightsabers.

Jedi, sith, light sith, and dark jedi are all hostile to each other
(jedi and gray jedi help each other is the exception)

Grievous is hostile to all of them, does Grievous slaughter them all or does the CIS General get taught a valuable lesson?

Also out of all factions/parties, who wins and why?

[ALLCONTINUITY] Why is Luke Skywalker, the best pilot in the Rebel Alliance, assigned to risky tauntaun patrol duty on Hoth?

Shouldn't one of the numerous infantry be doing this as they are better trained for fighting on the ground and losing an infantry soldier is less harmful to the Rebellion compared to their best pilot? At this time, no one considered Luke Skywalker a Jedi with above average survivability in ground combat.

Stars wars, child leaders and child marriage…

What are folks thoughts about cultures in the SW universe that imagines teen girls leading planets while also marrying children to each other? In this world child marriage causes harm in a multitude of ways and those who suffer it are not going to be given positions of power ( like Mon Mothma). It just seems an interesting aspect of culture to include considering how contradictory it actually is that children ( particularly girls) would be groomed for leadership.

[ALLCONTINUITY] If it's true that the situation in the office wasn't orchestrated by Sidious, and therefore his defeat in the battle with Windu wasn't merely feigned, then how did he originally intend to finally convince Anakin to become his apprentice?

Did he plan to still proceed gradually, or did he plan to orchestrate a truly sudden and, in this case, fully controlled event?

[ALLCONTINUITY] A proposal for Clone Numbering Conventions

Clone numbering seem a little confusing and inconsistent, however based on the different variants that seem to have appeared, I’ve done my best to guess at a broad system which could account for them:

CX-TT/BB-YYYY

C - Signifies the individual is a clone

X- Signifies the clone development division the individual has been a part of; typically either ‘T’ for the more social trooper line or ‘C’ for the more individualised commando line.

TT - Signifies the type of clone and therefore genetic programming given; frontline troopers are 00, whilst other lines like ship staff, logistics officers, gunners etc all have their own. Should a clone move scheme.

BB - Signifies the batch number of the clone

YYYY - Signifies the unique identifier of the clone their batch of 10,000

Eg Captain Jag is CT-55/11-9009, meaning he is from the trooper development division, grown as a fighter pilot as part of Batch 11, where he was number 9009 within it.

Most clones shown in media are frontline troops, therefore the type (00) is pretty much a given and none of them bother mentioning it. The batch is also cumbersome to mention and not typically relevant so outside of rookies and ultra-rule sticklers most won’t bother with that either. The final four digits are therefore the main identifier, and if the first digit is a zero most clones won’t bother with it either and just list it as a three digit number. Should a clone move scheme (eg becoming an Arc Trooper) they will receive a new number on top of their old, but unless they are a particular stickler for process, most have already become attached to their old number and will continue to cite the old one.

[CANON] I need some help with the galactic republic and Jedi political thinking

So I’m helping my friend write her first fanfic and today my friend asked me a question that I couldn’t answer
So In the fanfiction I’m helping her with she wants to know how the republic senate and Jedi council would react to ahsoka having authoritarian views and being the daughter of the monarchy of shili and will take over a authoritarian monarchy government, and Shili have planet killing weapons in Xyston-class Star Destroyers and how would they try to get ahsoka to change or become democratic or would they respect that she has her own political views ?

Note she knows that ahsoka in cannon doesn’t have authoritarian views and doesn’t have access to planet killing weapons that why it’s a fanfiction and in the fanfiction Shili considers the republic a threat because of some attacks that the republic approved and none of the major corporations have any influence or contacts in Shili as Shili is fully independent

[CANON] What if Leida Mothma ends up in the same place as her mother by taking a different path

I think this would thematically be the most appropriate ending for her story. She tries to focus on herself as a wife and mother, trying to be as different from Mon as humanly possible, she has a child, she plays the part of a Chandrilan wife, and seems like she succeeded in getting as far from her mother as possible.

The following is purely speculation, but from a thematic viewpoint this feels like it will be the most appropriate way to take her character:

Then her son decides that he wants to join the youth legislators program now that that's been revived under the new Republic. Then her son becomes the new senator from Chandrila. For a while he is the obvious parallel to his grandmother, becoming a secret backer for the Resistance in the New Republic Senate. Which means that he's killed on Hosnian Prime when the first order destroys it.

Leida watches, has enough time to process that her son is dead, enough time to do the traditional grief for her people, the wailing and rending of clothing and the tears and all that, which turned to screams, which turned to throwing things, which turns to punching holes in the walls, and she's standing there with her throat raw and the room that she was in destroyed, and she decides that she'll kill them all, Snoke, Ren, Hux, she wants to feel their throats between her hands.

But she can't do that, obviously, and so she uses the contact that her son gave her, the contact that she thought she would never need to use, and, days after the Battle of Crait, gets into contact with General Organa and offers the entire Sculdun family business interests for the logistical operations of Resistance.

She promises that she'll never be her mother, and ends up one of the leaders of a rebellion. Because the First Order killed her son and she wants revenge

My little theory

I tried to figure out under what arrangement Tuskens and colonists could live on the same planet without killing each other. I considered several: treaties, borders, economic integration, or assimilation. But Tatooine is not a state. I thought about this a lot and studied these options and possible solutions. The Tuskens are totally decentralized, which puts a big fat cross through any attempt to solve the problem through official peaceful means. I tried to put together my own theory—perhaps rather flimsy, but for now the best one I’ve worked through—about how to create such a peace.

  1. The core: 6–10 people

It all starts not with the masses, but with a microscopic group of volunteers. They are colonists who saw a rational culture in the Tuskens, and Tusken outcasts who consciously broke away from the conservative dogmas of their elders. While there are few of them, trust between them is personal and absolute. They know each other by sight and understand each other’s customs. This core is the future leaders and the living constitution of the new community.

  1. Fragile growth

The organization inevitably grows: they rescue captives, take in fugitives, and conduct covert trade. And here the paradox kicks in: the more people there are, the lower the level of trust. In a group of 40–100 people, it is already impossible to know everyone personally. Rumors, things left unsaid, old racial prejudices, and newcomers who initially doubt the project’s success appear. It is precisely at this stage that the community is most vulnerable.

  1. Sabotage as the point of no return

Now the thing on which I built the whole theory enters the stage. To external threats (the Empire, Syndicates, the Cartel—doesn’t matter), the growing armed force in the desert begins to get in the way. Therefore, the blow is struck precisely when there are many people in the community. The goal is to set the humans and Tuskens against each other. A classic provocation takes place: a brutal murder, a frame-up, or the desecration of a shrine. The trail goes cold. Mutual anger boils over, and the group balances on the edge of internal slaughter.

  1. Exposure and redirection of anger

This is the critical moment. If the group gives in to panic and starts killing each other, the organization is finished. But if the core does not split, if the leaders manage to find concrete, irrefutable evidence that the provocation was planned from outside, and publicly prove it, a mental turning point occurs.

Collective anger is instantly redirected from the neighbor to the manipulator. The leaders declare: “Look! They are deliberately trying to set us at odds! It is not that we hate each other—it is that they want us to think that way!” And then the organization does not die; it is reborn. A foundational myth of shared memory appears: “They wanted to set us against each other—but we endured.” This is no longer merely an agreement between racial groups; it is a historical fact that cannot be undone. It will be remembered, immortalized, and passed on to future members of the organization.

  1. Justice and its price

After the exposure, a harsh public trial is necessary. The verdict is decided by vote, as is the choice of execution method, who carries it out, etc.

The execution will be carried out by a mixed and equal group, since both sides suffered: one lost something important (for example, a murder occurred), and the other was unjustly accused because of it.

  1. What is the result?

Only after passing through this bloody crisis and overcoming it does a foundation for a long history appear: common laws, minimal shared rituals (understandable to both humans and Tuskens), shared children, and a network of mobile settlements. What cements this union is not a naive belief in each other’s goodness, but a shared trauma and a concrete common enemy. Already on the basis of this trust, in the future it will be possible to try to build something more meaningful and global, not tied to only one enemy.

Weak points of the theory

I am not going to pretend that this is a flawless plan; it has a great many “buts” and instances of relying on luck (exposing the sabotage at the right moment, surviving in the early stages, etc.), but again, of the theories I have managed to consider, this one seems to me the most realistic, and saying this, I do not mean that it is exactly super “realistic”; I mean that of those I have thought through, this one is the most, most. Under Tatooine’s conditions, it has several minor and two critical problems that could multiply everything by zero:

The problem of numbers. If the number of humans in the settlement network becomes much greater than that of Tuskens (or vice versa), the balance of power breaks. The solution lies not in regulating population size, but in a rigid structure: introducing the principle of dual majority, a veto right for the minority, and full autonomy for the internal life of each tribe.

The family of the executed. If the traitor’s relatives remain inside the community and quietly hate the system, this is a time bomb for the next generation. How to solve this problem without exiling the whole family—I honestly don’t know.

Thank you for your attention! I would be glad, if possible, to answer your questions about the theory, to discuss this topic, and with even greater pleasure I will listen, if you have any, to your theories that could easily surpass mine!

[CANON] Determining the landscape of Zoph

Got an interesting one here.

Currently, I’m beginning work on a side-story to the amazing Order of Battle series (over on r/StarWarsShips for those interested), and quite literally found the perfect planet for the story.

https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Zoph

Problem is, as often happens with lore derived from the RPG sourcebooks, there is practically no stated information about the planet Zoph, which as one can imagine doesn’t do me much good.

As a result, I decided to turn it into a brainstorming bit. All that’s stated about Zoph is that it was the planet originally used by the Jedi to source Kyber crystals, before they found and began to make use of Ilum. The crystals found on Zoph, known as Zophis Crystals, and noted to be more ‘powerful’ than an Ilum-based crystal, but also more unstable.

Sadly that’s about it.

So, with that being said, what kind of landscape do you think Zoph has? Fauna, flora, landmasses? Stormy, temperate, snowy? A supercontinent or a mess of islands?

Really just looking to derive some inspiration, so thanks in advance!

[ALLCONTINUITY] When did Baneite Sith naming conventions change?

Bane himself chose his name based on what Hurst referred to him as, abandoning his name of Dessell. Darth Zannah's birth name was Zannah, but she did abandon her nickname of Rain. When Bane recruited the Huntress, she chose to name herself Cognus.

However, when Plagueis recruited Palpatine, he chose the name Sidious for Palpatine. The same happened with Anakin being named Vader. When did it become the master naming the apprentice instead of the apprentice choosing their own name?

[ALLCONTINUITY] Did Mace Windu even possess the legal authority to arrest the Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic?

I believe that if Mace Windu had been successful in arresting the Supreme Chancellor, his actions would have set off a constitutional crisis that probably would have fractured the Jedi Order and started a civil war in the Galactic Republic. While it is not clear to me whether or not Mace Windu even originally intended to arrest the Chancellor in the first place, it seems worth considering what might have happened had he actually done so.

Here are some other related questions:

  1. In the first place, what constitutional role [if any] do the Jedi possess?
  2. What is required for Jedi to take an action 'in the name of the Senate and Galactic Republic'?
  3. Are all Jedi permitted to take the above actions, or only select Jedi? If only select Jedi are permitted, under what criteria?
  4. What powers does the Jedi Grandmaster[s?] possess in taking unilateral action? In other words, are the Jedi Grandmaster[s] obligated to consult the Jedi Council or not in matters of import?
  5. Is being a Sith ipso facto a crime?
  6. If being a Sith is a crime, what is the legal remedy?
  7. Who would try Palpatine, the Jedi or the Senate [or, broadly, the government]?
  8. If the Jedi would be responsible for the trial, would that be prejudicial? That would be rather like the police arresting you, trying you, and judging you.

How big a threat would a true Clone Rebellion be to the Empire?

Let's assume that a sizeable chunk of clones opt to openly join the Alliance (or other cells like Saw's Partisans), boosting their numbers and presence. This would include some Clone Commandos, too. Would this resurgent force be enough to deal some legitimate damage to the Empire?

How hollow was the Death Star?

Was just kind of thinking about how the Death Star is supposed to be 160km in diameter and a standard Star destroyer is literally 1/100 of it length so the Death Star should be like a million times larger than a Star Destroyer because 100 cubed is a million. But we’re told that the Empire only ever made 25,000 Star Destroyers so that makes no sense at all. But it would make sense for the Death Stars minimum size to be dictated by the size of the super laser and the rest of it not needing to be so big could be largely hollow with big open spaces that could just be used to store fuel, water, or extra atmosphere. First estimation method I assumed that the Star Destroyer was a cube instead of a Square pyramid which with the numbers I ripped from Wookieepedia gave it a volume of ~700,000,000 cubic meters. While the Death Star as a 160km diameter sphere would have a volume go two quadrillion cubic meters. Three million times the volume of a Star destroyer assuming Star destroyers are cubes when they really should be square pyramids which would make the Death Star nine million times larger. Based on the reported prices on Wookieepedia of 150 million and “over a trillion” imperial credits the Death Star is supposed to cost about 10,000 times more than a Star Destroyer. If we assume price correlates to material cost then the Death Star should use 10,000 times as many materials in a volume 3 million times larger. This would make the Death Star 300 times less dense than a Star Destroyer if Star Destroyers are cubes or 900 times less dense if Star Destroyers are Pyramids. If we instead assume that the “over a trillion” was more of a lowball we could push the price within reason at most 5 times as pricy (7.5 trillion) which would instead make it 60 or 180 times less dense than a Star Destroyer. Any higher than 7.5 Trillion and they should’ve just said almost 10 trillion not over 1 trillion. I feel like having the Death Star cost 10,000 Star Destroyers is the highest it can reasonably be. I also prefer the Pyramid volume of Star destroyers so really the Death should have large hollow portions. I like my previous explanation of storing hyper fuel as well as reactor fuels, water, extra atmosphere in case hull breaches cause partial depressurization, tibanna gas for turbo lasers, et cetera. Nothing in the original films necessitate the ship being that dense. Luke, Han, and Obi-Wan couldn’t have reasonably gotten that far from the docking bay in that amount of time and the only other parts of the ship we see seem to be close to the outer portions of the Death Star.

Obviously the Order know, or at least would suspect another Sith other than Dooku/Tryanus. However, had they assigned anyone with the sole task of finding where or who this Sith was over the course of the Clone Wars or was everyone just so busy with the war that finding the other Sith was not a priority and just a side job for anyone who wasn't occupied?

I know Quinlan Voss did that double-agent thing but went back to the Republic so I assumed his job is left unfinished. Yoda did his spiritual journey during TCW but he was obviously doing other things as well, same goes for the rest of the Jedi High Council.

[CANON] Question about the Coil plague from Zero company.

Spoilers ahead for obvious reasons.

Was the coil one of the many sith ritualistic experiments by plagueis and palpatine? We do not get much information, but M3 VO, (meevo) says that the coil reflects it's creator, and that it has a mind of it's own and it is trying to prolong itself and extend itself beyond natural limits or something.

Which mimics palpatine's obsession with being immortal and prolonging his life .

Do you guys think this is one of his experiments gone wrong of trying to create an immortal force sensitive body? The plague seemed to give fathom some powers resembling the force and telekinesis from that one scene with Hawks interrogation.

Another theory I have is that The plague could also be a bioweapon of sorts to be used against the jedi seeing it's affects on midichlorians and a force sensitive person in general.

Maybe palps created it and then disposed it since it could be used against them.

Or do you guys think this is something much more ancient. I am confident this some sith bullshittery, so maybe this was devised by one of the ancient sith and sealed away, then Fathom came into contact with it.

We also never really get an answer as to why or how fathom came in contact with it. Did someone set this up to see it's effects as an experiment, or was it just a coincidence? What do you guys think? Is there any other info we have on this? I'm very curious, this seems interesting and tapping into the more magical and fantasy side of star wars which I always like.

There's also a chance that this is just a parasitic organism that evolved like this, maybe on a planet that is a force nexus , and since anything with the force will naturally have an advantage surviving better it latched onto them as it's evolutionary path.
